Regent Hotel, Beijing1 / 8

Beijing, No. 99 Jinbao Street, Dongcheng District (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map

Regent Beijing was my choice, a hidden gem of a luxury hotel in the city center. It's incredibly convenient, right next to the Dengshikou Station exit on Line 5, where you can spot the hotel's side entrance sign. It's also very close to Jinyu Hutong Station on Line 8, making it super easy to get to popular spots like Wangfujing, the Bird's Nest, Temple of Heaven, Lama Temple, Xidan Joy City, and THE...
Location: I was most satisfied with its proximity to Dengshikou subway station – it's incredibly close (in my opinion, for a capital city with lots of traffic control and often no parking near attractions, taking the subway is the most convenient way to get anywhere). The hotel is also very close to Wangfujing, so if you have enough time, you can walk there for a city walk, which is quite enjoyable...
My husband and I stayed in Regent Beijing in mid May 2026 for 4 nights. We had a wonderful stay. The service was excellent across all areas—from customer service, front desk to housekeeping. The staff were consistently professional, attentive, and very helpful, which made the experience truly enjoyable. A special thanks to the housekeeping team: they found my ring, which I hadn’t realized I had...
The room size was just right, and it truly upheld the quality expected of an established five-star hotel. Many small details were perfectly executed, like the soft, clean, and waterproof mats in front of the sink and toilet. The turndown service was also excellent. Breakfast was varied and featured authentic Beijing specialties; a staff member greeted us at the entrance, guided us to our table, and...
The hotel's location is excellent and convenient for transportation, and the concierge and front desk staff provided great in-person service, which is commendable. However, the online WeChat service from the Regent guest services team was extremely disappointing and disheartening. 1. **Severely delayed service response times.** Upon check-in on the evening of May 2nd, the front desk advised adding...
The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk from Wangfujing Street and very close to the subway station. It's right in the heart of Beijing, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. The hotel breakfast is incredibly rich and varied, the rooms are spotless, and the staff are warm and polite. I'll definitely choose the Regent again next time I'm in Beijing!

Our family really appreciates the helpful and friendly staff, especially Duty Manager, Gordon Li and staff Qian, who helped us resolve the booking problem; Supervisor Apple who introduced us to the restaurant within the hotel and have a good dinner. Dylan helped us in the direction of the city and assisted us in booking transportation to visit the scenery. They are very professional and provide exceptional...
I stayed in Sunworld Dynasty Hotel for 4 night and I very satisfied with clearness, delicious food and good location.
The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were comprehensive. The service attitude was good, and the surrounding transportation was convenient. It was a great experience bringing my child to Beijing, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time.
This hotel boasts an excellent location right in the heart of Wangfujing, within walking distance of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. It's incredibly convenient for both sightseeing and shopping. The lobby is grand and impressive, and after a recent renovation, the rooms are clean and tidy with comfortable bedding. The bathroom has a great wet/dry separation, and the soundproofing is quite...
My first time in Beijing and this was honestly the best location for a first timer, the room and the space was awesome, amenities were cool and the food from the dynasty plaza was excellent, only thing that bothered me was the lobby service, when I arrived there were quite a few doormen standing outside, some were helping other guests with their luggages, but the ones that were free didn’t even offer...
The room service was excellent – very friendly and responsive. The hotel facilities are also new, and the location is good. However, the room was quite small, and the night staff, including the manager and security, didn't meet five-star standards.

One of the best experience traveling here in Beijing, good location, close to many must go places.
Great location. Beautiful lobby. Helpful concierge and service. Staff speaks english
I really loved the hotel's style; the overall experience was great. As soon as I walked in, I was drawn to the interior design. Even though the building is older, the rooms are very well-maintained, and the location is excellent, very close to the subway entrance, just a few minutes' walk away.
Good location near APM shopping within 5 minutes walk. Luxurious hotel with very good service.
Prime location, and the hotel is truly luxurious with excellent facilities. Even though it's an older property, it's very well-maintained. The cleanliness is top-notch, though the hairdryer felt a bit old and could use an upgrade. I used to always stay at the Regent across the street, but next time I'm in Beijing, I'll definitely choose this hotel again – the bed is much softer and more comfortable...
The location is excellent, and we even got a room upgrade! It's very close to Wangfujing, and two nearby subway stations make getting around incredibly convenient. We could easily stroll to Shijia Hutong and Dongsi Street. Very satisfied!

First time staying here and I had a really great experience. The location is excellent, with convenient transportation. The hotel's overall decor is elegant and refined. It was a very pleasant stay, and I'll definitely be back. My only suggestion would be for a more varied breakfast. Wishing you all the best!
No bellhop to help with luggage when we arrived. The front desk staff at check-in weren't particularly friendly. The room was smaller than expected. However, the floor attendant was very polite and did a thorough job cleaning. The front desk service at check-out was also subpar. As we walked out, we saw the bellhop sleeping, and as soon as he saw us, he pretended to still be asleep. The only positive...
The Overseas Chinese Hotel, once one of Beijing's 'Top Ten Buildings,' underwent a renovation in 2021 and has been completely transformed. It's now elegant and sophisticated, with numerous artworks displayed in the lobby and public areas. I stayed here last year and was very impressed, so I chose to return for an exhibition at the art museum this time. The front desk staff were incredibly attentive...
Excellent location, very close to Exit 8 of China Art Museum Station on Line 8. The breakfast was rich and quite tasty. Lunch at the restaurant on the first floor was also reasonably priced, and the pancakes were delicious! The staff's service attitude was also very good. Overall, a great stay! 👍
Extremely satisfied! The hotel is clean and bright, the food is great, and the location is excellent. Housekeeping staff Auntie Zhuang was very polite, warm, and attentive. My child even wrote her a thank-you card! 😄
The location is super convenient, right by a subway entrance. It's just a few minutes' walk to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street. The room was really quiet, which made for a great stay.

Great location, very close to Wangfujing, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. The room was clean and tidy, and the front desk staff were warm, polite, and provided excellent service. Check-in and check-out were very efficient. Overall, it was a really comfortable stay and great value for money. I'd definitely choose to stay here again.
The room itself is typical of an older hotel, a decent size. It had twin beds, a chaise lounge, a large desk, and a small tea table, all with ample space. The amenities were comprehensive. The shower was over the bathtub. Honestly, it felt very much like an old four-star hotel in Europe. But this is the Peace Hotel! Built on the site of the original garden, it was specifically designed to host international...
Very nice and clean hotel which has an amazing location almost at center of Beijing. In fine, I recommend it strongly.
The location is excellent, very convenient for transport with a metro station nearby. The hygiene was great: clean, tidy, and comfortable. The environment was elegant and cozy. The service attitude was very good, especially the lady at the front desk who was very patient. I'm very satisfied! 👍
The hotel is right in the shopping district and a very convenient walk to Wangfujing. It's super easy to find food and get around. The room was clean, completely smoke-free, and the AC worked perfectly. I had a great night's sleep!

The room was great, with a practical layout, a bathtub, and stunning views. The king bed and a smaller bed were perfect for two adults and one child. Location: The hotel is super close to the National Gallery metro station, making it really convenient to get around. The location is excellent, with views overlooking the Imperial Palace. Cleanliness: The room was very clean and free of any strange odors. Service: The staff were warm and attentive. Breakfast: Available on both the 1st and 17th floors. The 1st floor has more variety, but I'd recommend...
The hotel's location is convenient, and the room is spacious and comfortable with great attention to detail. The staff member Vincent was very friendly. Highly recommend!
The hotel's location is excellent. It's just a few minutes' walk to the subway station, Wangfujing Street, and malls like APM. The Zi Guang Yuan restaurant is right next door, making dining very convenient. Plus, there are 7-Eleven and Lawson stores nearby, which are great for grabbing drinks.
Let me start by saying: I've stayed in quite a few hotels, and I was genuinely disappointed with this Renaissance, especially the facilities. 1. I'm not sure if all the room curtains are like this – they don't block out light and are too short, as shown in the picture. It's like they're reminding us: 'No slacking off, you workhorses! 🥲🥲' 2. The toilet flush requires you to hold the button down constantly...
I contacted them in advance to upgrade to a suite, and the room was spacious with a great view. The executive lounge was a lifesaver for drinks, and occasionally we'd grab a simple dinner there when the kids were tired in the evening. For breakfast, the first-floor restaurant had a wider variety. The hotel is conveniently located with a subway station nearby.

The room is spacious, the service is attentive, the location is convenient, and the price is very affordable. However, the bed is a bit small, an extra bed costs 250 a day, and there's no Wi-Fi. I hope these can be improved.
I've been staying at this hotel for many years. It used to be a Crowne Plaza, and although it's been downgraded now, the location is absolutely fantastic. It's only a two-minute walk to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, making it a hotel with excellent value for money in Beijing.
This hotel is genuinely good! I had to switch hotels at the last minute and ended up here. The front desk staff seemed very professional, effortlessly switching between Chinese and English, which was really impressive. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm on a business trip to Beijing!
The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Forbidden City and Wangfujing Street – just around the corner. The front desk staff were enthusiastic, and the breakfast was quite rich. However, the hotel's facilities are a bit dated.
Extremely convenient location! While the hotel itself is a bit older, its convenience is a major plus. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and it's great for shopping. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay with good value for money. A really nice trip.
The decor is extremely dated, and all the facilities and equipment are very old. The room I was assigned was quite far from the elevator, but the bed was comfortable to sleep in. The breakfast offered a good variety and was quite tasty. The location is excellent.

The room layout is well-designed, and being all-suite, it doesn't feel too old. The bedding is comfortable, and the smart controls are convenient. Service is prompt and polite. The hotel front desk staff were warm and professional, making the check-in process very efficient. Everything was amazing. Room was clean and service was good! Will stay again. Thank you
Facilities: The hotel is an old renovation. Upon check-in, I found the touchscreen was frozen. I had to call someone to restart it before I could properly check in. The hairdryer was still the old-fashioned type, and the toilet wasn't a smart one. Service: On the first day, we arrived at the hotel at 2:30 PM. The location is excellent, with convenient transportation and easy access to dining, entertainment, and shopping. The hotel offers all-suite rooms, and we even got a room upgrade. The service was fantastic, and the breakfast was delicious. It's definitely my top choice for a hotel in Beijing.
The hotel's location, service, room cleanliness, and layout (separate walk-in closet, separate desk, dining table, etc.) are the best I've encountered among all the hotels I've stayed at. I highly recommend it! (And I've stayed at Rosewood, Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Waldorf Astoria, Fairmont, Hilton, InterContinental, Conrad, Mandarin Oriental, Sheraton, and many more...)

The hotel's executive lounge has an amazing view. Yesterday, for my birthday, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a specially crafted cocktail called 'Spring Blessing' from Zachary at the lounge. It tasted great and looked fantastic. Thanks for the wonderful service!
Arrived in the early hours, and the front desk staff were incredibly warm and accommodating, even upgrading my room. The lady at the front desk even upgraded my room, and I got a lovely outdoor terrace, which was very comfortable. I stayed for 3 days and slept wonderfully every night. The cleaning staff came to tidy up daily, and it was always spotless! Definitely worth coming back to!

The location is absolutely fantastic; it's just a few hundred meters walk to the Forbidden City and a little over a kilometer to the Square. The rooms are well-maintained and don't feel old or dated. It's definitely an old hotel. The room was tiny, and it even had an old-fashioned fridge and washing machine. We got back late, and the front desk staff called again to arrange a late check-out for us, which we really appreciate.
For a room that cost over 400, there were no toiletries (only a tiny bar of soap), the air conditioning was incredibly noisy, and even weirder, there was no light switch by the bed! I had to get up before sleeping to turn off the light by the bathroom door (never seen that before). It's ridiculous; if it weren't such a hassle to move my luggage, I wouldn't have stayed even one night.
The park that is directly next to the hotel has the best views of the Forbidden City. Hotel Terrace also has amazing views. S

Facilities: Great, quite new. Cleanliness: Very clean, meticulously tidied up. It's rare to find a hotel like this within the Second Ring Road. Environment: The surrounding area is also excellent and very quiet. Service: The staff were amazing, so enthusiastic. I'll definitely stay here again if I need to.
The staff here are really friendly and helpful. We got a family room, which was perfect for my parents and me. It was very quiet and had a lot of character.
This hotel has a lot of character, and I especially loved the courtyard in the middle – it was so pleasant to sit there and enjoy the breeze after dinner. Great location, helpful staff , value for money. I love the lobby area with hot tea and cozy sofa. The washing service is very convenience. Definitely book this hotel again when we visit Beijing next time.
Staff barely know as couple words in English, forgot to give me breakfast tickets on check in, so on second morning I dint have time to eat properly having no time to deal with reception about it ( while leaving for train really early).. You absolutely must experience a siheyuan (quadrangle courtyard) guesthouse when you visit Beijing! Absolutely loved it here!!! Since it's certified to host international guests, I noticed during check-in that besides my family, everyone else was a foreigner 🤭. After seeing the whole courtyard and our room, I felt like sleeping here at night would make my dreams transcend time. Waking up in the morning brought a completely different scene! The moment I opened my eyes, I fell even more in love......
3 reasons to stay here. 1 - the staff is super nice and helpful. Shout out to Amelia for all her help. 2 - no heat lamp buffet here. The food is cooked fresh and delicious. Breakfast and dinner were amazing. 3 - the bed was a perfect combo of slightly soft and firm. Perfect for side sleeping and back sleeping. Also bonus that the hotel is beautiful.
This siheyuan (quadrangle courtyard) is nestled in a hutong, offering a quiet and pleasant stay. It was very comfortable for us traveling with kids, and the service was incredibly thoughtful. The restaurant on the second floor consistently serves great food, with breakfast available every morning, plus evening snacks and afternoon tea. The two magnolia trees were in full bloom, adding to the delightful...

The hotel is quiet and comfortable, with warm and attentive service. I really liked it and it was very good. Facilities: The facilities are complete, and there's a mini-fridge in the room. Cleanliness: It's clean and hygienic, with daily housekeeping. Service: The service is truly excellent and very welcoming.
For a location in the Second Ring Road area, this hotel is already excellent. I highly recommend staying here. The front desk staff, Hu Jiahui, was incredibly friendly and had a very welcoming smile. I bothered her multiple times, and each time she enthusiastically answered all my questions. I'll definitely choose this hotel again if I need accommodation in the future.
The room was very spacious, tidy, and super clean. The location was also very convenient. I'm extremely satisfied; it's definitely great value for money.
The room was exactly as described, and the location is great with convenient transportation nearby. A big thank you again to the hotel staff, especially the lovely lady who gave me a lucky little gift! 🫰🫰🫰🫰🫰🫰
The environment is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and the Chinese-style decor is elegant. Highly recommended, 5 stars!
The room was spotless. The front desk staff, especially the lady who checked me in, was incredibly welcoming and even upgraded me to a room with a window for free! The lobby having hot water and coffee was a super convenient touch.

Reasonable rate, location is good. Many food options around hotel. Very near Wangfujing. Staff helpful. Nice coffee provided in room.
Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant. The receptionist, Hero, was extremely kind and spoke English, which made everything much easier. The room was very good and very spacious. The pillows were so comfortable that I wanted to take them home. The shower had excellent water pressure as well. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection of food. Overall, a great experience.
The room was great – quiet, clean, and in a good location. The price was fair too. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.
Great location, right at the corner of Wangfujing Street, making it very convenient to explore the area. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was decent. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
The hotel is alright, but it's definitely showing its age. I could hear the sound of the street from my room, although it wasn't much of an issue since my room was next to a side street and not the main street. The breakfast was quite a let-down in that most things seemed to be ready-made things with a bland taste, so I wouldn't pay for the breakfast again. The location is extremely convenient, with...
During my stay with family at the Sunworld Hotel in Beijing, I really enjoyed my stay. In the 7 days we stayed in April, I had quite the utmost quality of every hotel in the district. The twin room we stayed was very nice with 2 queen size beds that can be joined together to form a very spacious bed fit for a couple and a kid. The interior of the room was recently renovated with comfy beds and well...
