I had a great stay at Betul Guest House. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with nice beds and a reliably warm shower — perfect after a day of exploring. The owner was incredibly kind; he even spotted us in town and gave us a ride to Varosha.

The garden is a real highlight. It’s full of interesting art pieces and has plenty of cozy spots to sit, relax, and enjoy the beautiful weather. The whole place has a very laid-back, welcoming vibe.

Location-wise, it’s ideal — pretty much in the cultural heart of Famagusta, making it easy to explore the historic sites, cafés, and local life.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxed and friendly place to stay.

Location is right in the center of the city, 10 mins walk to everywhere around the city center. Lots of food options around in a walking distance. Room was a great quality, it had everything I needed, including hot water available all day, fridge, kettle, tv and air conditioner. Bed was soft matress it was comfortable. And it was literally the cheapest option compared to the hotels around. 3 nights for me, 5 stars. Would Recommend.

Very welcoming and extremely friendly. Good sized rooms with ice cold air conditioning including kettle with tea, coffee and water. Shampoo and body wash also supplied. Nice pretty gardens. Location is fantastic

I stayed 3 nights at this incredible guest house. A sincere welcome upon arrival and then the owner introduced himself to me, asking if there was anything I needed.

Everything was good.

I was travelling alone so i had the single room. Comfortable bed, AirCon and TV if needed. Good shower. Super clean. fast wifi.

Thanks so much. Trevor

The guesthouse was perfect, it is a spacious and peaceful place. Also, the employees are very helpful. They offered us tea and coffee all day long, free of charge. The rooms were very clean and tidy, I definitely want to come again. I must say, the prices are also very affordable!

Pros:

1. Beautiful property (former family home) within the city walls.

2. Location unbeatable. Very well signposted as you enter the old city from the southwest gate.

3. Free tea or coffee served on arrival. Breakfast spread meze-style. (You're not required or expected to finish it!)

4. Price competitive with comparable B&B's in North America. Expensive by local standards but worth every kurus.

Caveats:

1. Most guests are tourists from mainland Turkey. Don't expect staff to speak much of any language that isn't Turkish. You may need your phrasebook or Google Translate. (Website is in Turkish only.)

2. The wifi in rooms works well, but be sure to ask for the password at reception---it wasn't posted in our room.

3. Reception closes at 8pm. If it isn't too late in the evening, one of the phone numbers posted on the door should reach a member of the family who own and operate the guesthouse (who still live nearby), but don't take them for granted!

4. If you're a light sleeper, be prepared for a wake-up call from the rooster next door and/or heated discussions within the Feline Cypriot community.

The best place I have ever imagined. Quiet, cozy, artistic and tolerant place. Great hosts, Betula and her daughter are lovely. The breakfast is rich and tasty, everyday different with both local dishes and eggs, tomato's etc. Lovely place for all Famagusta and Karpas region. Will definitely be back if lucky :)
