I stayed at this terrible hotel 3 years ago and I've been back to Cyprus on a regular basis driving past and observing its decline into a derelict deserted lifeless building. The pools are empty and the hotel is being used as refugee accommodation which is fine but it's not a holiday destination at all, do not book here you will be very disappointed.

We chose Henipa for the incredible value it offered - considerably lower price even for 12 nights with breakfast and dinner than other hotels. And it came very close to the *** experience you would expect. Breakfasts were quite rich and had plenty of things to choose from, dinners were a bit weaker, but still okay. Our room was nice and spacious with a balcony and a nice bathroom. Beds were comfortable and the interior looked pretty clean. The air conditioning system was also pleasantly functional and easy to use, which was a life saver in the hot climate of Cyprus.
That said, the shower stream was pretty weak to wash with, there was an awful looking TV with a broken corner that we didn’t use at all (not a huge problem but it doesn’t look nice and taken care of) and we had a huge problem with ants. Very little and light ants often infested our sweet food that we had to put on the top of the furniture, because there was no fridge in the room. That also means no chilled water, although you could stock up on that during the breakfast. We also encountered a few big flying bugs in our room that we had to manage.
My personal biggest inconvenience was the pro-russian nature of the whole place. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean to discriminate, but when I go on a vacation to an exotic island, the last thing I want to hear are loud russian guests, who were often having conflicts with the staff (very nice and helpful staff by the way!) and who always shouted loudly on all occasions. Reception, breakfast, dinner... Naturally, the staff speaks russian with them to be polite and one night there was even a russian disco during the dinner! But that is the cheap price I guess.
There is a nice set of pools with artificial rocks and also a pool bar, which is nice if you have all-inclusive. The hotel is quite near to the sea, you just have to cross the street and then you are on a nice beach, which starts with rocks on the shore, but as you go into the sea, it transitions into sand. Amazing! The beach is also nice for watching the sun rise. There is a small nearby shop and a bigger supermarket some 1km away. You have the option to go to the Larnaka town by bus for 1,50 Euro.
Overall definitely would recommend if you are prepared for tons of sometimes annoying eastern friends and really like the low price of this hotel. Except for the ants eating our donuts, there was no major problem during our 12 nights at this hotel. And like I said, the staff was very helpful.

At the begining when you coming to the hotel , receptionist didn't inform us about nothing. You have to ask about everything. Hotel is allocate 100m from the rocky beach.
Staff is not speaking English properly, better for you if you speaking Russian because 95% of guests they are from Russia.

We was waiting for cutlery and also they not cleaning plates properly so you have to be careful.
You don’t know what you can eat because there is no label what is inside.
For few days we didn’t have a room service , when we went to the reception and we asked about cleaning, lady from housekeeping she said very rude to us that they finished cleaning 2.30pm
They not cleaning room properly and they didn’t change the towels.
We been asked about iron for one week after that they gave us iron with eu plug.
Cyprus is very nice and beautiful country but this hotel is disgusting and I will not recommended if you not speaking Russian because is not good if you are coming and you speaking English and they don’t understand what do you need.
!!!Only one guy from the bar Janusz he was speaking English and he is the best person in this hotel.!!!

Main hotel shabby and tired. Moved to Bungalow D which was much better. Breakfast was just ok, don't eat the scrambled egg!! George and Elena on reception were awesome. Too many rude Russians

had bungalow D and it was alright - walk straight out from the room into the pool. all inclusive restaurant and drinks looked gross tho and the access to the hotel is horrible!! no sidewalks to the beach, had to walk on a highway and through dirt :/ super hot in the lobby, no where to cool off. concierge was very helpful. wifi is too expensive, and only 1 English tv channel. boo.

Once place but in need of some repair. It's out of the way but has a really good bus service about every 30mins from about 7.30am till 11.30pm. Lovely pool, food average, reception and and waiting staff lovely. Lifeguard is rude and ignorant though. Watched him all week being an arse to others then to us on our last day.

I am writing this review while I am still in this Hotel.
Every thing since the 1st day we arrived here was horrible. We booked a bungalow but when we arrived they told us that the bungalows are not ready and you have to stay in a double room; but after i talked with my tourist office they give me the bungalow after 2 nights. Lets return to the double room, every thing in it was bad from the beds,the heat and AC to the hygiene to the bathroom, and not to forget that they didnt have room service when we arrived and we had to go out to buy water to drink
As for the bungalow, they are better than the room but the smell was bad and no hygiene at all ,the towels were not very clean.
It was my worst stay in a hotel ever and it was the worst choice ever.

lousy service, poor service awareness .
they replace the towels once in three days even though it was very smelly and they refused to give us "extra" towels.
they actually put many effort to make you feel unwelcome .
the non-working TV was the size of midsize smartphone, couldn't watch world cup matches or to fall a sleep with National Geographic .
my daughter dropped her pacifier under the bed and then i find out where all the dirt in the world are hidden in.

I know its a cheap hotel and I don't mind the old communist look(pictures are fake- nothing like the reality), BUT it was DIRTY - very dirty. Don't go there, book something in Larnaca.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in the staff are rude and unhelpful the rooms are filthy our toilet seat was broken we had to argue with reception staff for clean towels and toilet paper I wouldn't give the food to a stray dog there is nothing around for miles except for a horrible stony beach witch is covered in litter. It's a shame really because the hotel grounds are actually quite nice but the staff don't seem to like the English. There were a couple of friendly staff but few and far between. All in all this hotel has ruined our stay on this otherwise lovely island.
