We enjoyed our week at this wonderful adults only hotel, what a gem! Rooms are a good size with all the usual amenities (safe, mini bar, coffee machine) and the housekeeping staff keep them immaculate. We booked on a half board basis which we have never done before. Breakfast and evening meal were good. Both were buffet style with lots of choice. You would need to be really fussy if you couldn’t find something you liked. The lobby bar was a superb place to sit back and enjoy a drink. Sunbeds are allocated by a member of the pool team, you choose your bed and it is yours for the duration of your stay. This alleviates that 7am towel dash I have seen on social media!! The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the resort of Protarus. There is a nice coastal path which takes approximately 15 minutes to stroll into the town where you will find many bars and restaurants. As is often the case, the real credit has to go to the wonderful staff. They work tirelessly to ensure everyone has a good time.

We stayed in a swim up pool room which was lovely. The room itself is clean and spacious, although decor could be a little nicer. Its quite basic. The TV is quite inconveniently placed so you cant really watch it in bed, which isnt the end of the world. The swim up pool its lovely and you have a nice sunbed out there to relax on. You will only get the sun there in the morning till lunchtime & then it will completely be in the shade. The hotel does assigned sun loungers though which I absolutely loved. You get assigned a set of loungers around the pool which are yours for your entire stay - avoids those annoying people at 6am with their towels out. The views are amazing. The hotel is a little 15/20 min walk along the sea to get into fig tree bay itself and the main area of protaras. It is a lovely walk though. The dine around concept for half/full board is really good - most of the restaurants are decent enough. I wouldnt pay to eat there out of choice though, but it really is worth it for a small fee to upgrade. I would recommend this hotel. This year we have stayed at the sister hotel (sunrise pearl) & much prefer sunrise Jade.

Every dish is packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Whether you're trying something new or sticking to a favorite, you won’t be disappointed. If you're in Cyprus and looking for a place that delivers both incredible food and exceptional service, Sunshine Jade is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We booked Sunrise Jade so we could have a relaxing peaceful holiday. It was my first time visiting Cyprus. The hotel is stunning, so modern, comfortable, peaceful, and absolutely amazing staff everywhere. Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, the reception area is huge, with lots of comfortable seating and a great bar area with fantastic cocktails. (Nicholas, Nassos and Daniela were very helpful) My room - huge! Massive comfy bed, lots of pillows, smart TV, great shower room, and lovely touches like a stocked mini bar, water daily, chocolates in the evening (delicious) I slept very well. The food options are brilliant, we enjoyed breakfasts cooked to order (thanks Big George) Omelettes, french toast, pancakes, and champagne at breakfast yes please! Lunch was 3 course à la Carte (best burger ever) Dinners were great too, we used the dine around and just loved being able to eat at different places each night, Ginger was our standout favourite. Maria was there to make sure we were always happy. The pools were clean, and one was heated. The pool bar was great and staff were excellent here - we loved having a latte by the pool. (And a cocktail) The absolute BEST thing about this hotel that makes it stand out is having your sunbed allocated all week. It’s yours. No towel racing, no worrying about leaving it to take lunch. It’s there… for you. BLISS! There was some nice evening entertainment, and we enjoyed the spa, walks by the coast, and exploring nearby shops etc. I cannot put into words how much I needed this break, and how it made me feel. I will be back for sure. Thanks to everyone at the hotel.

We have been twice to sunrise jade ( first time in August 2024 as a surprise for my husbands big birthday then again May 2025) and both times were absolutely perfect. Beautiful quiet hotel only a 10 min walk to the main ***** . We stayed half board and the food is excellent. Dinner at the buffet is much more than an average holiday buffet , so much selection and the staff all work very hard to ensure everything is replenished. Also if you choose not to have dinner one night you can have lunch at the restaurant which isn’t a buffet but a 3 course lunch from an extensive menu. Lunch was also fantastic. We opted for a sea view room , definitely worth the extra for the upgrade- waking up to that view everyday is amazing. The pool area is stunning , and the designated sunbeds are the icing on the cake! Also loved taking a short walk across to the little secluded bay ( just walk down some steps directly across from the pool area of the hotel) it is beautiful , sadly we didn’t see any turtles but apparently they can often be seen there. One of the best qualities of sunrise jade is the fantastic staff . Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Special mention to the beautiful Natalie on reception who goes above and beyond. It was so lovely to chat with her each day , she is a credit to the hotel. We have booked again for July 2026 to return to sunrise jade and we cannot wait! If you are thinking of booking, you will not be disappointed!

Visited family and stayed at the 5-star Jade Resort in Protaras — a lovely experience from start to finish. The room was comfortable with a beautiful sea view, the food was excellent, and we even managed to fit in some exercise in the pool! Highly recommended for a relaxing stay.

Wow, 5 stars + from start to finish. Location, staff, food and drink, amenities and cleanliness all absolutely flawless. We stayed for 7 days on a package deal through easyJet and I must say absolute perfection. Temps every day in the high 20s and low 20s throughout the night. Protaras is a lovely resort and even though a lot of attractions were closing down for winter there was still more than enough to satisfy us. Locals are very friendly and created a lovely vibe. But choose the Sunrise Jade and you’ll have a fabulous holiday.

This was our 4th time here and we’ve chosen to come back each year because of the location, friendly staff, sunbed allocation, cleanliness and pools. However, we noticed lots of changes this time which left us a bit disappointed. We were surprised to see it’s nearly all new staff here since last year, although it was so lovely to still see a small number of familiar faces throughout the week, especially Marina (at the pool bar) and Fotis (little chef with a big hat). The attention to detail in the dining room wasn’t what it used to be. The quality of food in the evening wasn’t as good or varied as it has been previously and we found it often lukewarm. The sunbed allocation wasn’t as well run as before and pool staff often said beds were booked, yet they sat empty, even when available. They didn’t appear to be updating the system properly when people checked out/moved beds and we witnessed a number of people questioning why beds were empty, but weren’t showing on the system. Some of the towels need replacing too, as they are very thin and corner’s need re-sewing. We have always chosen a sunbed on the grassed area by the infinity pool, despite problems with it being a bit wet and marshy in some areas. This year however it was like a mud bath, yet they were still allocating people on sunbeds here, which was totally unacceptable and everyone’s feet got muddy. I felt sorry for anyone doing yoga too, as it was very sloshy where they put the mat’s down. The carpet on the 5th floor hallway was dirty so needs replacing, or a really good clean, as it’s very marked and stained. It was like this last year, so I was surprised this still hasn’t been addressed as it’s not difficult and lets the hotel down, especially as it’s so clean everywhere else. The TV in our room had a terrible signal and we could only get BBC news. We called maintenance three times and they found MTV for us, but it went again soon after, so we gave up asking in the end. To be honest this issue has been the same every year; despite having four different rooms. We’ll have to think twice about returning in the near future which is a real shame because we do like the hotel, but will keep an eye on reviews in the hope that standards return to the way they were.

Very nice hotel. Super clean everywhere, including pools and cabanad, friendly staff, perfect location - right at the turtle bay (we saw a turtle as well 🙂). Sauna bath didn't work all this stay, but it happens...
Amazing breakfast with all variety of food and drinks and very nice dinner (for food only) with plenty of options either and incredible deserts.
What could be better? 1. Drinks at dinner are only for a charge, even plain water - a bit strange considering room rates for half-board options. 2. No refilling options for water. Hotel supplies 2 bottles daily which is great, but I believe that 2 reusable bottles with refilling station(s) will be more environmental friendly (or even more profitable for hotel in the long term).
