Minthis Resort in Paphos

​We visited Minthis today for a spa day to celebrate my partner's birthday. While the location itself is stunning and naturally relaxing, our overall experience was unfortunately disappointing due to a lack of professional coordination and basic guest care. ​1. Booking Miscommunication: We had specifically booked a massage for two people at the same time in the same room. Even though the booking process seemed to confirm this, we were surprised to find out upon arrival that our massages would be done separately. This was quite upsetting as it was a birthday gift intended for us to enjoy the experience together. ​2. Lack of Basic Facilities: The most frustrating part, however, was the lack of preparation for the weather. It was raining heavily, and to our disbelief, the resort did not have umbrellas available to assist guests. We had planned to stay and have dinner at the restaurant, but because we got completely soaked walking between areas, we were forced to leave and cancel our dinner plans. ​Conclusion: For a high-end resort with premium pricing, the lack of professional foresight and basic amenities (like umbrellas or ensuring booking requests are met) is unacceptable. It’s a shame because the space is beautiful, but the service did not live up to the reputation or the cost.

We stayed at this hotel as a family and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. This resort is not suitable for a family getaway and does not appear to welcome families with children. The biggest issue was the swimming pool. Our 11-year-old child was not allowed to use the pool, which was extremely upsetting for him. He was very disappointed, and as a result, our holiday was completely ruined. For a family holiday, especially in Cyprus, access to a pool is essential. This hotel may be appropriate for adults only, but that is not made clear enough when booking. Families should be clearly informed in advance that children are restricted from facilities. We would not recommend this resort to families with children.

I had an incident in Minthis spa. I’ve been there a lot and this was for the 1st time. I believe that my friend and I experienced exposure to chemicals or micro insect bites (that’s what my dermatologist later said could happen) in spa facilities on 22.11.25. We had massages in different rooms and then used the spa. We both have skin irritation on legs but on different sides. Maybe it’s from towels or spa zones. For me it is more severe and after 2 weeks I still have those spots but blue-ish. It ruined all my pre-holidays plans! I informed the spa, sent them materials (doctor’s report, photos bill for doctor& pharmacy), and they answered that they conducted an internal investigation and did not identify any problems in the laundry , the cleaning or the procedures of the spa, that they had not had any similar incident reported to us (which is a lie, as my friend reported to them with her photos as well!), that it’s my internal allergic reaction on massage oil (if so , why it’s not all over my body but only where I sat, and we had different massage oils!). I didn’t receive explanations after those comments and still no compensation. They proposed only a free treatment but didn’t even send it. And it’s unlikely that I’d want to return, I still have marks on legs! If anyone had the same problem, please inform them about it and the Consumer Protection Agency in Cyprus.
