Swiss Inn Nile Hotel in Cairo

We stayed for 3 nights from 7 to 10 December 2025. I gave 3 stars because, for me, cleanliness is the main reason people choose a hotel. Of course, friendliness is important too, but cleanliness is my number one priority.

As a cancer survivor, I have allergies when it comes to reusing sheets. Even in my own home, I must change the pillowcases and bed sheets every day. So when a guest requests a cleaning, it means there is an important reason—even if they cannot explain it fully.

We requested our room to be cleaned, which includes changing the sheets as part of standard procedure. However, the housekeeping staff did not do this. They simply rearranged the sheets and added an extra tissue box and soap, but they did not actually clean the room.

I kept all my belongings inside the cabinet so they would not be disturbed during cleaning, but the staff opened the cabinet even though my private clothing was hanging inside. They were not supposed to open it, and if they needed to, they should have closed it properly afterward.

I gave 3 stars because I do not appreciate being treated as if I am stupid. I left a tip on the first day for the cleaner, what they did is just add tissue box,soap and changed the towels but they didn't clean the room and another tip the next day, the tips were taken, but did not clean the room or even do anything so we had to inform reception to clean the room but also they didn't change the sheets, which was disappointing. On the third day, we had planned to leave a tip again, but due to what happened, we chose not to.

My advice to housekeeping is: do not treat your guests as if they don’t know what is going on. Guests notice everything. We did, however, appreciate the friendly staff at reception and in the breakfast restaurant.

If the housekeeping had taken proper care of our room, I would have given 5 stars. But because cleanliness is my top priority, I rated the hotel 3 stars.

Those hotel is not as better standard. It’s need to review on your furniture in the elevator is not very safe.

The staff of this hotel was not good, At about 8 PM in the evening, the hotel front desk staff called the room and said that the hotel we booked only allows one person to stay. If two people stay, they need to add an additional fee of 70 US dollars. Very unlogic, so I leave my friend and I booked another hotel.but the facilities and environment is good .only their service is bad
