La Maison du Lierre in Biarritz

A lovely hotel with exceptional polite staff. Our room was impeccable clean as was the rest of the hotel. Good breakfast too.

Lovely hotel in great location. Near the market and lots of bars and restaurants but on a lovely quiet street. Bathroom was great and very clean. Huge comfortable bed and great air conditioning. Good value for money. Had breakfast one morning but opted for the market other days. Only negative I felt were the pillows and duvet. Felt very synthetic and pillows a bit lumpy. Other than that it was fabulous!

Excellent location in the middle of the town. The house has three floors and beautiful wooden staircase irradiates an atmosphere of tranquility. Our room had a nice size, comfortable bed and window in the bathroom. All appeared very clean and well maintained. Almost no noise in the night. Friendly welcome and service and a very good breakfast.

Just back from a three night stay at La Maison de Lierre in Biarritz. Overall I was impressed - great location very close to all the sites - yet quiet. Nice well equipped and spacious rooms. Hotel personnel are young, friendly and very helpful. Parking on the street available but expensive and time limited. Better to park further out and walk in. Easy access by bus to the railway station, airport, St Jean de Luz and Bayonne. Two breakfast formulas are offered - mini 'continental' at 8.90 EUR and a more complete one at 16 EUR - I found the staff a bit pushy in getting you to take one or the other and choosing a set time as the space in the dining room is very limited. But overall La Maison de Lierre is a good choice in Biarritz and is recommended.

The hotel was beautiful, large light and airy rooms, and very friendly staff. Location is perfect right in the centre of Biarritz with overnight parking a couple of minutes walk away for €19. The weather was terrible so we’ve booked again next week on our way back up from Spain, so we can have a proper look round.

Charming Biarritz hotel? Thoughtfully decorated, lovingly maintained, and kind welcoming and helpful staff. Great location near ocean, shops, restaurants, and market. Wonderful, quality breakfast from local producers. Can't wait to return!

Great authentic hotel in Biarritz, perfect location next to Les Halles and 5 min walk to grand Plage. Will stay again. Roman at reception was very nice.

Hotel was easy to find and close to bus stops to the airport and station, then about 10 minutes walk to the beach. There is no sea view, but that wasn’t an issue for me. I chose the cheapest room which had modern ensuite facilities squeezed into a corner with a frosted glass screen. However, I don’t think you’d be able to slide the door across if you were using the loo as there wasn’t enough space so you need to be very friendly with whoever you are sharing the room with! The room was a good size and had a kettle and tea/coffee, but the curtains were just thin gauze drapes - not a problem in October but I imagine you’d be awake very early in summer! Breakfast was reasonable for the price (€14.50). There was also a nice lounge downstairs.

What a wonderful little boutique hotel that oozes French charm and character in the elegant area of beautiful Biarritz, just across from the gardens and within walking distance of everything! Fantastic, friendly staff who are passionate about ensuring you enjoy your stay, with the welcome glass of wine a very nice touch. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! We had a superior room with terrace which was tastefully decorated and showed efficient use of space with a great shower. Just loved our stay!
