Luxury hotel with two large pools located near the beach of Biarritz in a former Palace, built by order of Emperor Napoleon III as a gift for his wife Eugenia. The hotel has a Spa with a fitness centre, hot tub, Hammam and massage treatments. It offers rooms and suites with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside and antique furniture. All rooms are equipped with the most modern equipment, the interiors are done in bright colors, ceilings decorated with stucco. The hotel has a restaurant Eugénie, Michelin-starred restaurant, and seasonal poolside restaurant. The place for a luxurious stay for discerning guests.

I loved the dramatic atmosphere of the cocktail lounge which also had a great selection of drinks. And there was a wonderful pool and spa area (although do bear in mind that almost all of the guests to the hamman are male-female couples and they pay no attention to the "male" and "female" sections. So make sure you keep your bathing costume on, unless you want to be embarrassed.)
Moreover, the spa and hotel facilities are excellent, and I felt that even during the off-season or in less favorable weather, guests can fully enjoy their stay at the hotel.
It was truly a wonderful property.

I stayed here a few years back, and the room was lovely, breakfast exquisite. I came back just to dine this last summer and the terrace at sunset was incredible! Definitely worth a visit while in Biarritz!
