2 night stay Very pleasant staff. Comfortable bed. I was assigned a quiet room but it was very noisy from the roof top bar next door. Ear plugs definately needed. Unfortunately the carpet in the bedroom did smell, they did provide a spray for the room. Good internet connection.

This quint little hotel is in the middle of the city where most of the attractions and many restaurants are of walking distance. Very convenient. Arrived at 11am and were able to check in to the room - this was great! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

Standard room for the price was a bit small; hotel had just switched from AC to heat and their system can only cool or heat not both.

Our room was very hot and the AC was turned off for the season. When we complained we got a quiet room off the street which was much better. Very responsive.

Everything was fine until someone enters our room at 8 am without even a knock and woke us up, which is startling for 2 women travelling alone. We put the « do not disturb » sign outside the door but still a staff assumed the room was empty. At the front desk, a quick « sorry, the person made a mistake » didn’t feel quite enough

We unexpectedly stayed here last year in summer, while going on a trip to Spain. We had a very pleasant stay. The privilege rooms next to the swimming pool are amazing! The swimming pool is amazing, the atmosphere was very good and the staff is nice and helpful. The next morning we had breakfast which was very extensive and neat. We will definitely come again some day.

This hotel is great, located right at the edge of old town but it is relatively close to a lot of areas. You can walk there very easily Room is very clean, spacious and comfortable too.

Room 402 was not refurbished and looked outdated compared to the rest of the hotel, and definitely different from the rooms advertised online. Room amenities did not reflect a four star hotel, no coffee or tea making facilities. The bathroom only had a whirlpool bath tub which is narrow and not practical for taking showers, especially in August! And that was meant to be an upgrade!! Breakfast buffet...

It’s a perfect place for visiting Lyon. A little bit old fashioned as it’s the old part of Lyon, very charming. Breakfast is really good and the ladies who serve, do their best to meet all your needs.

The room was small but worked well for the 2 of us. The receptionist was very helpful. My big issue was the long driveway to the elevator. If i was traveling solo i would feel very unsafe staying here. I would have liked to have to swipe my card to use the elevator or the stairs.

It's a 5-minute walk from Annecy Station and less than 10 minutes to the canal town. It took longer than I expected at first because I relied on the group map! The lack of a refrigerator is a bit of a disappointment for a self-proclaimed 4-star Mercure. It's a very small Mercure, so perhaps they bought one from somewhere else?

Good design boutique hotel with very great service.. thank for the nice receptionist that offer us late checkout. Hotel lobby is nicely design and can stay and do some work. Room is abit small but good enough. Design of the room is great and lovely.

The room was clean. The girl at the front office checked us in early, that was nice. The housekeeper accommodated us with extra comforter as I felt cold so that was kind as well. I haven’t tried their breakfast as I need a high protein meal and I wasn’t sure they had that. Hôtel definitely needs an upgrade. Everything looks and feels very dated.

The College Hotel truly is a fantastic stay. The staff were professional, friendly, and made check-in quick and easy. Our room was spotless, well-equipped, and extremely comfortable. We loved the central location for walking everywhere. Five stars—highly recommended!

Very conveniet location next to a ton of bars and restaurants and walkable distance in Old Lyon to all the sight seeing. Don't understand why the 4 star rating however. Room was depressing at best.

This hotel is “ok”. Small things could have been done to give a better value. The rooms could have more hooks but that is a personal preference. In general I felt it was not good value for the cost. We had the most expensive room category. Keep looking you can find better less expensive centrally located hotels.

The Collège Hôtel was perfect for our 4-night stay in Lyon! The location is great, within an easy walk to so many fun neighborhoods and multiple metro stops. The team could not have been nicer and more accommodating and the terrace is gorgeous. The water bottle-filling station is an underrated amenity!

Lovely but the smell let it down Lovely room, pleasant hotel, helpful staff. Location is near the station. Short walk into town but lots of bars and restaurants close by. Only negative was the smell. There was an overwhelming smell of sewage in the reception area and sometimes in the bathroom. It was masked by perfumes but still came through.

I stayed on the 6th floor. There was only one room available, and the floor was a bit low. It was a separate wet and dry room with a door to the bathroom. The bathroom had an open-plan sink and the bed was also open-plan, facing the sink. There was a bag of pink almond candies as a small gift. The staff were very friendly. Honestly, I felt like I was in the maid's room. The hotel initially tried to charge me a second time. I had to contact customer service. A lot of dust. Room on the 6th floor, even though the elevator stops on the 4th. Staff was friendly, though.

No ac so had to keep windows open but it is a very busy noisy street so difficult to sleep easily if room is on the Main Street. Perhaps a fan ? We loved the Time Machine quality of the room which was unique and fun and yet still fully comfortable and clean. We were a bit skeptical given the nature of the Entrance -but it is lovely once you enter and understand the unesco heritage.

Great staff, especially Roman and Lucy at Reception. They were so welcoming and offered great tips for dining and parking around Chamonix during UMTB week. I wouldn’t recommend staying here without a car since it’s a little off the beaten path, but it was a great home base for our trip.

I had a great stay at this hotel. Jade and the night manager were outstanding: professional, available, and always smiling. Their warm welcome truly made my stay enjoyable. Very nice hotel (as far as the extension is concerned). No opinion on the historic building. Spa, terrace, billiards, swimming pool, fine dining, everything is there to have a good time. This hotel is overrated on this site from our experience. We stayed in 4 hotels over two weeks in Switzerland Italy and France and this rates third. Shabby landscaping greets guests, rooms feel outdated, bathroom products should be upgraded to something more suitable at this price point. Food was ok, again overrated we thought. Staff was stiff. Overall disappointing despite the mointain views.

Being in a very old building meant the room was unique. Some good points: excellent lighting, many electrical outlets, an espresso machine. Also although this was the Vieux Lyon area with many bars and restaurants, the double windows meant it was very quiet. Even within the room, one could not hear anything from the toilet room or bathroom room.

Great hotel but afternoon tea very sub par - full of sugar treats only so if you have children no nutrition. Donuts cakes and a few bits of fruit and not the greatest patisserie. Recommend adding in savoury snacks

The location was really great and the room was okay. However, the radiator didn't work, so I had to call the front desk every time, which was very inconvenient. The lighting in the room and bathroom was too dark. The breakfast was very ordinary, but expensive. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't go back. The receptionist who welcomed us was really kind but the following morning I walked the dog and when I returned I had to use a code to get in,which I was not made aware, buzzed three times and the female receptionist was at the desk ignoring the buzzer. The low ceiling in attic room meant we bumped our heads above the bed and accessing the plugs in other part of the room. Consider putting cushioning in these areas.

The view is amazing. We had a deluxe room with a view of the lake from both the bedroom & bathroom (Room 208). The room was a decent size, not a lot of hanging cupboard space but not a problem as I take a clothes steamer. It is about a 15 minute walk into town (downhill through the forest). Heaven in Annecy Les Tresome Spa was an amazing place for those seeking epic bike rides and post ride spa access. The staff were incredible-helping out in so many ways-just loved this place!!
