Good hotel, great breakfast; some attention to detail would be beneficial. In the otherwise nice spa there were no towels avail, dry saunas felt like 45degrees. Disappointed as I chose the hotel because of the spa.

REALLY LOVELY HOTEL The hotel is an easy 10 minute drive to the centre of Valence - there is free car parking at the hotel - the staff are lovely - there are 2 dining options - both very good - a really comfortable place to stay.

Good hotel if you’re travelling south . Close to the highway. Only 5 minutes so perfect. Secure parking space, check in was friendly. Rooms were good for the price ( just a little to small you cannot open you’re luggage only on the bed) but it’s clean and quit to sleep so very good when you’re on the road to somewhere.

While the hotel is a bit out of town, it's still convenient, just a few minutes' drive away, and parking is affordable. The room and parking lot are both spacious. There's a Carrefour next to the hotel, making it convenient for shopping.

We stayed 3 nights here after reading reviews about how good the location was and was such good value for money. All self catering apartments in chalet style. Minutes walk from town the train centre bus stops and attractions. We checked in and out outside of reception hours and was super simple. Very warm and toasty after a day in the cold. Would definitely recommend.

I spent 2 nights and it went well despite the receptionist. For a 4-star hotel in the city of Lyon, the reception should be impeccable. When I arrived there was no one at the reception (a little before 3 p.m.), I waited 5 minutes for her to arrive. This is a lovely hotel, perfectly situated in the heart of Vieux Annecy. I’m sure they upgraded our room, it was excellent. We would stay there again without hesitation. The noise of the doors closing from other rooms is very noticeable into the room. Free secure parking is a definite plus. Sadly once a strong point of the accor group, breakfast offer is very limited and the quality is in decline as it is also the case in many other hotels of the chain. It seems that the accor group is no longer investing in renovating their "upper scale" brands (mercure, Novotel)...

A magnificent and completely renovated hotel. It has an elegant and cozy atmosphere. The staff is incredibly attentive, and the breakfast is delicious, featuring local products. Hotel a bit dated. The reception wasn't very professional. The key didn't work. No king-size bed, as specified in the reservation, but two beds pushed together. Doesn't deserve a 4-star rating, but a 3-star rating in my opinion. Otherwise, very decent, fairly clean.

I had a great stay at Hotel Charlemagne. The location near Perrache made getting around Lyon really easy, and the staff were warm and helpful throughout my visit. My room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view. The breakfast and cozy atmosphere made it a really enjoyable base.

Getting here from Lyon Part-Dieu train station is also super convenient; you can take the T1 tram directly, which takes about 20 minutes. We stayed there with our little puppy. The staff had kindly arranged a room that’s close to the elevator. Room was spacious and neat too. Free parking on the street, but no onsite private parking which is a shame. We’d stay again.

We stayed at this hotel for only two nights, we were greeted by the NICEST & KINDEST receptionist Marwane. Also, the hotel lends you umbrellas when it’s raining outside which is so cute. First I would like to say how wonderful the reception staff were especially Valérie, Théo and Jérémy. We stayed in suite 314 and really enjoyed the reversible AC units that allowed us to be comfortable especially since the balcony windows only had single glazing. The room cleaning was perfect. The Hotel Needs Better Maintenance Despite The room was clean and the housekeeper did a good job, but the overall condition shows that it needs more attention. The walls are scratched and the room could really use a refresh to justify its price. The lift is also very old and almost dirty. The hotel needs to take better care of its facilities.

The balcony view was great and the service was good, but the room itself was a bit old. The bed sagged in the middle, and the living room sofa looked quite outdated. Stayed for 6 nights, with only one cleaning service. The good thing is that the two-bedroom apartment is relatively large, with a nice view. You can see the snow-capped mountains as soon as you open the door.

Excellent stay. I was only there one night unfortunately but after walking 10 km to watch the European cycling championships I was grateful for the very comfortable bed and excellent pillows. Hotel was good, close to public transport and plenty of bars and restaurants. Unfortunately we were in the ‘Cinema Room’, which had no external windows. We couldn’t get fresh air into the room and the aircon wasn’t enough to get rid of the humid air after showers. Also, there was no fridge in the room - you had to leave any food items with the concierge on the ground floor
