Hotel Miramar in Paris

I liked the location but not the service, safety and attention to customer comfort. They don’t really seem to care much about the customer once they hand over the key. Our room had a faulty lock and wouldn’t lock. Even though they have a sign that says “please lock the door on your way out” they told us no need to do it. I insisted that I don’t feel comfortable with leaving my belongings in an unlocked room and asked for a different room. They said they are fully booked. Then we saw that the door wouldn’t even open after a few locking attempts. Once they saw that, they gave us another room (so they lied!).
Additionally, the housekeepers work in such a messy way. The corridors are already quite narrow and the housekeepers leave everything (trash, used bed linen, their cart,… in the middle of the corridor making it i possible to pass!! I had to lift my suitcase on top of my head to pass that mess and get to the staircase on checkout day.
And finally, you need to hand over your key everytime you leave and request it again when you get back. There is a 24/7 reception but they don’t ask for identification when you request the key (and it is a completely different person at the reception everytime). All you need to do is say your room number. So technically I can just say any other room number if I know they are out and get their key! A bit scary.
Not a good experience overall.
