Hôtel Le Mistral in Marseille

This is a clean, comfortable and friendly hotel in a fantastic location. We were visiting family who live nearby, and this was the perfect place to stay. Yes, it's basic, but it has everything you need (unless you need parking, which can be a little tricky, although public parking is available across the road). Our room was serviced every day, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and obliging. We had room 16, which had a great sea view. Things to bear in mind - there is no elevator, so if you're less mobile but can manage stairs, ask for a first-floor room. If road noise really bothers you, don't ask for a sea view room as the hotel is right on the promenade. We didn't mind it at all, but we were there at a relatively quiet time of year. Overall, this place deserves to be 3*. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again when visiting our family.

I was a reluctant at the very first due to its only two-stars rating. But after being there for 5 days I have to state that this place deserves more than only two stars.

The hotel is managed by a lovely mid-age couple who know how to treat their customers well. Our travel agency eDreams cheated us by offering a misleading information. Basically we payed for a room with a balcony that didn't existed (don't travel with eDreams as they're pirates).

But Jean Marc and her wife were kind and helpful and offered a solution even though it wasn't their fault.

Additionally, what to say? Clean rooms, decent breakfast for their price and their AMAZING LOCATION, just a stone throw from two nice beaches, dozens of good restaurants with astonishing French food, and a delicious street market. A true pleasure. Thanks to Le Mistral for offering us this opportunity.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are modern and clean. The service is really nice, especially Nicolas was basically our tour guide and gave us so many good advice for food and sightseeing! The area is also very nice, walking distance to several beaches and a lot of bars and restaurants around. It can get loud at night though with the street, so earplugs are helpful.
We can recommend the hotel and would gladly stay here again!

Well I keep masing the 3,5 stars in many reviews...

The location is "cool" the Hotel is reasonable, definitely the most improvable thing was friendliness at the staff...

Comfortable and clean hotel in a beautiful seaside location, nice decor and friendly owners. Very easy to get to both National park (Calanques) and old town Marseille (port) either by ferry from Pointe Rouge or bus right across the road. Here's some pictures of the park/beach across.
