Luxury Inn in Tbilisi

First of all, this is not really a hotel – it’s a flat or apartment offered for rent through Booking.com. Many people might get confused by the name, thinking it’s a proper hotel with reception or full service. Please be aware before booking.

I must say, the reviews and ratings on Booking.com are highly overrated, which I found quite unbelievable after my stay.

The location is honestly terrible. You cannot reach it easily by walking or even by taxi, as it’s hidden inside small streets that are hard to find, especially for first-time visitors. Unfortunately, I didn’t read the Booking.com message carefully where they mentioned to inform the host if arriving after 2 PM. Normally, Booking.com sends so many promotional emails that I thought it was not important.

I arrived around 7 PM, and at first, I could not find the property at all. I called the host, who told me to wait and asked where I was. I was standing outside on the main road and ended up waiting for almost 50 minutes. Finally, a girl came and took me to the apartment. The property is located deep inside, very confusing to locate if you are new to the area. Once you know the exact place, it might be easy next time but definitely not convenient for first-time visitors.

Inside the flat, there were more disappointments. During the night, it was noisy, and I could hear footsteps from people walking upstairs. The toilet is located downstairs, which I found very uncomfortable, especially at night when you need to use it while resting in bed.

This setup is not suitable for children or elderly people. If you are someone who needs to visit the toilet frequently, this place will definitely not be comfortable for you.

To be fair, the check-in girl was very nice and tried her best to help me. She was polite and cooperative, and I appreciate her effort. But still, the management should clearly mention in their listing that this is not a hotel, and they should give a proper and accurate map location.

Overall, I am sorry to say I cannot recommend this property for your holiday or a comfortable stay in Tbilisi. There are many better options nearby that are easier to reach and more suitable for travelers.

This hotel writes its own reviews. I had email that thanked me for my exelent reviews for the hotel in Booking. I havent gave any reviews for this place and if I would, it would not be great. Aparantly the hotel has done all the reviews themselfs - every review is 10 and the place was dirty and service was terrible.

And I got the typical response to my review as shown below. What motive could I have to leave a review for a hotel I haven't stayed at? Only services that have something to hide operate this way.

One thing that I still haven't written about in my review is that I suspect that there was some kind of moisture damage in the hotel room, as both my partner and I have been coughing a lot and having shortness of breath since our stay.
