König Ludwig in Altotting

A rather dated hotel! The hotel advertises with celebrities who stayed here decades ago. I was accommodated in the König Ludwig room, which was an absolute disgrace for the price! A musty room with a saggy box-spring bed and a window facing the street, in front of which a tour bus or truck is usually parked. After I complained, I was given a different room, but this one posed a serious risk of injury while showering (the metal ring on the faucet was sticking out – razor-sharp!). The toilet paper holder will probably fall off in late summer. You can make yourself a coffee in the room with a kettle, if the coffee isn't sitting in a leaky glass jar that's been in the room for months (disgusting)! When I handed the jar to the hotel owner, he claimed it wasn't from the hotel! Two days later, he said: "You don't need that much coffee" (which doesn't surprise me). Unfortunately, a lot of work crews and young people come to the hotel, some of whom sit in the beer garden until late at night (in one case until 12:30 a.m.) and are quite noisy.

Another incident remains unmentioned as I have no witnesses or evidence!

All in all, I wouldn't recommend it.

The only positive experience was with the girls in the restaurant; they were very friendly and attentive!
