GS Hotel in Munchen

I had a terrible experience having showers. The water temperature keep changing from hot to cold and two days in the morning. The hot water was not available and when I asked the receptionist she didn’t know and she was busy. She didn’t give me any indication on when the hot water would be ready, all she said she will send the hotel manager by the time the hotel manager came and the situation resolved. I missed my first appointment for the day. on my last day I went to have breakfast on the way back, The lift was not working so I have to go to the fourth floor by stairs and I have to carry all my luggage from the 4th level down to check out. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was fine and the breakfast was good and worth the price BUT I got signs of biting all over my body after the one night we slept there and in the morning when we checked the bed we found a BED BUG on it! We had to wash everything we had with us with hot water and make sure we haven’t brought anything with us

Stayed here during Oktoberfest - there is a bus 2 min away that takes you to Oktoberfest. 15 minute walk to the nearest train station - there are about 3 nearby. Not too long to get into the city by train.

The room itself was overall terrible. Space was decent but no basic in-room amenities including fridge, kettle or tissue box. The beds were 2 king single beds pushed together and pillows were terrible - I woke up with a sore neck as a result. The worst part of the room was the bathroom. This was room 110 - stay clear of this room unless they renovate the bathroom. Anyone who has stayed in this room would understand. As mentioned in a previous review with photos of the same bathroom, the bathroom is extremely outdated. Feels like a bathroom that belongs in a nursing home/aged care facility. There was also a very musky sewerage smell that was wreaking from the bathroom - basically smelt like urine especially if the door is kept closed.

To top off this terrible experience, there is no sort of ventilation in room 110 - no fan and no air conditioning. As a result, we needed to leave the window open for air flow. This proved to be a very bad idea. We quickly found out that room 110 is directly above the entrance of this hotel. This meant that we were constantly smelling the waft of cigarette smoke and can hear every single conversation that was being had downstairs. This room was extremely noisy and should be decommissioned until the bathroom is renovated and air conditioning is installed.

We walked past some other rooms that were directly opposite ours and they looked totally different - renovated, refreshed and welcoming. Unlike our outdated and uncomfortable room that made you feel like you were living in an aged care facility.
