The hotel is in a great location, 15 min walk to most locations. Small room, walls are paper thin, can be noisy at night, beds are not very comfortable. Stayed 5 nights and room was never cleaned.

The hotel’s location is good, within walking distance of major attractions and public transport. The staff kindly stored our luggage both before check-in, making our arrival and departure much easier. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was friendly. Location is great. Metro station right around the corner. The hotel is at the foot of the old town. Short walk from the Isar. Rooms are very basic. Doors are thin, you can hear a lot from the hallway and other rooms.

The room was spotless, and it even had a walk-in closet and a balcony with a view of St. Paul's Church's green spire. However, the bathroom's exhaust fan was incredibly loud and never stopped running.

Location is ideal if you need to catch an early train. It is less than 5 minutes walk from the train platform to the hotel. Good for one or two nights stay. Amenities are minimum though.

Stayed at a&o München Hauptbahnhof. The room was very basic but clean, with a simple bed and small bathroom. It felt more like a hostel than a hotel. Good location near the main station. The only downside is that it’s close to the road, so you can hear the tram noise. Fine for a short, budget stay.

stayed in a Family room for 2nights Wifi was good. AIr con in the hot room was not, and I was not able to sleep. Shower is a good 20cms off ground and difficult to get into as the room is very narrow! Room was clean but on close inspection, some dust under the beds. We are a family of 5 ( 2 adults, 3 teenagers) who stayed overnight here twice in the last 2 weeks. We found it to be in an excellent location as we arrived into the central train station and got an Uber for less than 10euro. The local train stops right outside too. Family room was excellent but the shower room on the second stay was quite dangerous...it was about 20cm up from the ground with no grab...

The best to say about this place is its "very spacious" 8-bed dorm room where I stayed for 3 nights which was really one of the biggest (if not the biggest) among many various dorms I've ever stayed at (really enough room for 8 people to comfortably move around with also an ensuite bathroom for just the people in the room). Quite close the central train station, which is important to me as I use trains as exclusively as I can while traveling in the EU. Grocery shopping in the area is easy, and a self-service laundromat is very close. Retail shopping is further away in the old city, but it is walkable to that area. My room was very nice and well appointed, quiet too.

This is a very spartan property. Reception was only open for a few hours everyday. So when Delta lost our bags the airport couldnt deliver them as they couldnt reach the desk. Very close and walkable to Octoberfest, with that comes noise and without air conditioning and open windows for cooling…it can get noisy. Be aware of check in procedures if you come in at off hours, the electronic access provided by email worked great.

It's true the stairs and the check-in take some negotiating, but we had a spacious, airy, clean, quiet room with large beds and excellent plumbing. A cot arrived when we requested one. It's also a great location for exploring the city so it may suit you if you are travelling lightish and are reasonably mobile

This is the 2nd time I stay in this hotel during business trip. The first time I believe I got a slightly bigger room than I got this time. Nevertheless, space is not an issue. The bathroom had days with really bad smell coming from the pipes. The breakfast is very basic but good. Nearby the hotel there are not so many restaurants but there is grocery stores and shops to buy in.

The hotel is just acceptable. Main reason for it is the service being absolutely disastrous. I only wanted to pay for having breakfast at the reception around 10 am, 04.10.2025, (breakfast closes at 10:30), no one came for 20 minutes. This was on a normal Saturday morning. Overall, I had a positive experience. The property is centrally located, with the U-Bahn station just a 5-minute walk away, and supermarkets conveniently located right next to the property. The room and bathroom were clean and well-maintained. However, I did notice a couple of minor issues: the soap dispenser in the shower was empty, and there was a stain on the pillowcase.

Quite a few restrictions here. No hair dryer in the room. Some of the staff said I have to pay a deposit but some said no. There are two extra shower room but you need to get a key from the reception in advance.

The hostel is super recommended! I was in Munich for 3 days, and I chose Wombat’s for staying 2 nights. The room for 6 ladies is really huge (compared to Berlin’s hostel), and it is super cozy!
