The cost wasn't much more than the four-star, but the upgrade in quality was well worth the slight price difference
The breakfast buffet was also very rich. The room was quite spacious, and it even had air conditioning
A bit outdated interior but very comfy beds and clean
My wife and I stayed at this hotel, booked by a friend, and it completely exceeded our expectations! We usually stay at a nearby four-star hotel when we come to Munich, but it was fully booked this time, so our friend recommended this five-star
From the very first moment, the entire staff was exceptional. The check-in experience was warm and professional, and every interaction with the reception team was marked by genuine kindness and attentiveness
There was a small misunderstanding at the beginning of my stay, which was handled immediately and in an exemplary manner, turning a potential issue into a demonstration of true professionalism

H2 Hotel was for free upgraded to H4 Hotel
Instead of 1 room for 4 persons for 117 euro per day we were upgraded to 2 separate hotel rooms with connection door between them inside for total sum 218 euro but we did not pay anything extra
Both hotels are located in one building with internal and external connection
Check in queue in H2 was very long for 15-20 minutes, while check in process in H4...
Fantastic stay! Great location, modern rooms, and amazing amenities. I am absolutely thrilled with my stay at H4 Hotel München
Getting to the hotel from the Main Station (Hauptbahnhof) and Marienplatz is very quick and easy. One of the best things is the location—right across the street is Riem Arcaden, a massive shopping center
In our room, we were welcomed by a coffee machine, and the coffee was excellent. A huge plus is that guests can use the sauna and the small gym for free
It has huge Edeka and Rewe supermarkets, and honestly, the choice of restaurants and fast food places is incredible
New facilities, excellent cleanliness, elegant environment, and great service. It's much more spacious and brighter than a 4-star hotel in the city center. I'll definitely choose this hotel for future business trips

Also a special thanks to Marc at the front desk as well as the rest of his colleagues who work at the front desk who helped me alot with an order I was placing to another hotel where I couldn’t overcome the language barrier
Friendly team, big rooms , cafes and supermarket, pharmacy is 2 minutes walk. 5-10mnt drive by car from most of the locations we had to go.
Not bad, good downtown location.
Had an excellent stay! The breakfast was great and the hotel is in a good location for going to Bayern Munich games
1 of the reception counter reluctant to help to reheat packed food from supermarket nearby. Being told only for staff only. Luckily we try again and another staff assist to reheat the food
Overall stay is quite pleasant and like the location. Able to travel all M zone areas with weekly ticket
We also made use of the pool, which was a nice bonus, though the water was a bit colder than expected
We had a very good experience here at the le meridien hotel munich! We were greeted warmly by the receptionist, alex miller. I remembered him clearly because of his warm and welcoming demeanor
He gave very good restaurant recommendations ( all were very delicious - attached is the list) and went above and beyond!! Kudos to him
Perhaps the only thing missing was toileteries amenities which were not in the room, but if you request for them they will give you. Bottled water is only given 1 per day
And in this holiday we came back to Munich, bring our whole family to explore more about Munich, and decided back to this hotel, because of the previous experience. And again we all are very satisfied
The staff is extremely professional, helpful and polite. Our stay was amazing courtesy the amazing services of the buffet at breakfast and the housekeeping

The staffs are very polite, nice, attentive & so helpful for us, especially when the rozenheimplatz train station nearby was under construction when we stayed, they help us to find the fastest & nearest way to our destinations that we need
This is my second time staying at this hotel, and as always, the location is great – right in the city center, making it convenient to get anywhere
The room was big enough for two and clean. We arrived much before check-in time though, the staffs helped us. Thanks to this, we spent time comfortably till check-in time
Novotel Munchen City is a well maintained hotel. The room is clean & has everything we need. The sofa bed also already well prepared to a bed for our kids when we checked in
The hotel is located in a quiet area, and I really appreciated how clean the facilities were! The free Wi-Fi speed was also quite decent
The location is quiet yet central, in a safe area, and within walking distance of the city center. Good value for money.

How this was still £400 for one night stay I am unsure. The works finish before Christmas, they said. Here once a month or 6 weeks. I’m back in Munich in two weeks but won’t be staying here ‘til 2026
The renovation works on lobby area are extensive and inconvenient. Entrance to hotel further along and via side door. Up a flight of stairs to a temporary reception. Room ok, but aircond fan noisy
Everything is within walking distant of the hotel within a few blocks, dining, cafes, trollers, shopping, even has a theatre. The views from the rooftop bar were the perfect nightcap
Great variety at breakfast and good quality food, plus the view of the city and some of the historical buildings was nice. Pool was very busy so we didn't hang around, but looked nice
The hotel is amazing!
Staff were outstanding, especially Ben Said from Tunisia. They upgraded us to a spacious, classic-style room with a separate dressing room and option for a connected room
They even installed a bidet spray in the bathroom and helped return our rental car. The location is quiet and perfect for relaxation, with very comfortable beds and pillows

The lighting in the room was very pleasant and very adjustabile
The bathroom was very very nice with good smelling body wash shampoo and conditioner soft towels and nice toilet
This room type is very close to the elevator, so the constant opening and closing of the elevator was quite noisy. The room itself, however, was quite good.
Good things:
The place was very pritty we where on the fifth floor looking out on roofs and trees it was a very nice view the room was very cosy with 2 beds a couch a chair and a marble table
Housekeeping needs work. The guy refused to take our dirty dishes and always just left them sitting there. He did the bare minimum of towels, make the bed, empty garbage. Even toilet paper was put in improperly.
Someone knocked on our door in the middle of the night. I had no idea who it was, and they weren't speaking German. After I loudly asked who it was, they just said "towels
Overall, the Marriott Munich exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it to families or anyone looking for a comfortable stay with outstanding service and amenities

The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, offering a good standard of quality. Nothing ultra luxurious, but they do a good job. What really affected my stay, however, was the constant issue with the key cards
Our stay was a highlight of a recent two week trip. One unexpected great moment - we needed a tailor for extensive work on a dress for which we needed a very fast turnaround
I'm using the hotel for a meeting with a business partner from Munich. Here's a brief summary: It's not possible to drive directly to the hotel, as a Christmas wine stand seems to be more important
An amazing HOTEL! A real Palace! The best location in Munich! Very well renovated! An exceptional breakfast, a unique atmosphere at the lobby bar and an unbeatable service!
Overall, while the hotel has strong points in comfort and location, the repeated key card issues, small gym, underwhelming sauna, and lack of late-night dining options made the stay more frustrating than it should have been
It became tiring and frustrating, especially when returning to the room late or after training sessions. The gym could benefit from being larger and better equipped for a hotel of this calibre

Hotel acknowledged it was their fault but with no immediate action taken until the next day because housekeeping was already gone. There was also fire alarm event happened during my stay while having breakfast
Full of people in breakfast room everyday. (One staff was particularly rude. One time, she scolded me for bringing the water bottle to my table because my hands were full and was not capable of pouring water
For those traveling by car, there is free parking on the street where the hotel is located, as we learned from previous reviews. The hotel also has its own private car park
) There was once breakfast was out of order and was diverted to another one. No staff to manage the situation. I also had a day with only half housekeeping work
Everyone of us had to go outside until confirmed safety by professionals. Turned out it was due to someone smoking. Bathtub water draining stopper always stopping
2. Staff said it will only on from June
Other than that, everything was perfect, though the hotel is slightly far from the city center

It was a very good experience staying here. Clean, comfortable room, excellent service, a great kitchen for preparing meals, close to the metro station, and for those who like to walk, you could reach Marienplatz on foot
I loved the breakfast, many varieties starting from fruit, eggs, sausages, musli, several types of juices and so on
Nothing to complain about, very nice room, impeccable value for money
Clean, well-equipped, everything you need is available in a very small space, friendly welcome, €18/night/car in the very narrow, winding underground parking garage – SUVs should be careful.
We would love to come back.
The location is good, about a 1.5-kilometer walk to Maria Square, a 20-minute walk. The surrounding area is quiet. The rooms are small but very clean. I stayed for three nights and it was quite nice.
This was my second time staying here on a business trip, and everything was the same as before. The breakfast was pretty good, and the area was surrounded by car dealerships

Service staff: Were warm, friendly and welcoming. Amenities: Didn’t get to use other amenities as we only stayed 2 days - but really enjoyed their smart TV with YouTube and Netflix
Very accessible from the station with McDonald and grocery store at ZOB. Tram station right next to the hotel. The breakfast place is very spacious, with plenty choices
Plus, there's a beer garden nearby where you can enjoy barrel beer and German food. After a good meal, you can simply walk back to the hotel to rest. All in all, this hotel offers great value for money
Perfect size room, great breakfast with vegan and gluten free options for 15€
Old chair in the otherwise beautiful room could be replaced.
The service was excellent, and the room was soundproof, very comfortable, beautiful, and spacious. The breakfast offered a great variety
It's just a short walk to a station where you can catch a train to the airport and the city center, making transportation very convenient. It's also not far from the main train station
And even though it is not needed in the winter, it is a rare thing to have this in Europe,- air conditioning that works year-round!
The location is perfect
Lufthansa Airport Express drops you off directly in front of the hotel at Munich Main Station. Super convenient for your flight schedule
Everything was in working order and the entire hotel as well as my guest room was extremely clean. Showers were amazing with great water pressure. Very comfortable bedding, linens, and towels
Excellent experience! Room was extremely central and I was worried about noise but the windows were very effective and there was no noise in the room at all! Staff were very responsive
Close enough to city center, but is kind of pricey uber compared to other European cities. Hotel staff and amenities were solid. Will be our go-to hotel anytime we stay in Munich
The only opportunity for improvement was the gym. Adding free weights and another mat and removing one of the cardio machines would make a huge difference
Overall a very good stay, but a few details were disappointing for a five-star hotel: no toothbrush or toothpaste in the room, no bottled water (only tap water), and a very small and poor equipped fitness area.
However, my mom found a little dirty stuff in the shower when she first got into her room. Overall, the hotel is quite good
Lovely hotel! Lots of great amenities. Very business orientated hotel. Lovely front desk staff (especially Alexander).
The hotel's location is pretty good. It's closed by most tourist spots in Munich. The staff is quite nice & helpful. The spa and gym is quite nice, and breakfast is good too
Nice stay
It is very near Munich station, just a few minutes by foot
And upgraded my room
Very well thought out room design. Love the location as well!

Absolute Vintage you feel well designed 70's space you beam back in the time but with WiFi ;-) I had a corner apartment with balcony, absolutely vintage 70's boutique
Very clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Free parking in front of the hotel, well-equipped rooms with refrigerator, etc.
We had checked in for 2 nights at Derag livinghotel Karl Theodor. The Hotel is an ideal base for a discovery tour through Munich. The rooms, although not quite mint,
but you are well equipped and very clean
The location is a bit remote, situated in a residential area, but it's quiet. The hotel is very clean, well-equipped, and there's a supermarket downstairs, which is very convenient.
Big room with sofa, dining table and kitchenette. Very quite Neighbourhood near Olympiapark and Tram Lines - 20min to City center and Main Train Station.
My experience in Derag Living hotel is a good one, the hotel staff is 100% professional, kind and in one word amazing! Also the rooms are clean, warm and it feels like home

This business trip felt less satisfying than previous ones. Perhaps it was too busy, with too many guests. The water wasn't very hot, and my colleague's room only had cold water
Hotel was awesome and the front desk was very friendly and helpful! the breakfast was the best I've seen ever at a hotel, I'm talking mind blowing! Bed was a little hard for me but I still felt like I had a good night sleep, down the street from the Subway so that was real convenient
Service okay, staff friendly, helpful. Location is rather far from centre, there are bus service nearby, not sure where it goes to, I didn't use it
Ask for a change of towels or room cleaning preferably the night before or when you leave in the morning on your excursion so that your room will be how you want ot when you return to it
Comes stocked with one time juice, beer, and soda. Every day you get water and coffee replenished. Sofa bed was comfy as was the double bed
the hotel is good and clean. But one day we discover that our plastic bottles disappeared and our room is not cleaned.

A great hotel with clean, spacious rooms. It has a wonderful indoor pool with murals on the walls. Friendly, welcoming staff. Near the metro station to get into central Munich easily.
This is a good hotel, about a 10-minute walk from one station and 15 minutes from another. It was quiet and green, even though it's near an area with strip clubs and such, which didn't affect our stay
The staff here are very friendly, and the rooms are nicely sized and clean. Even the showers are really good. It's a bit out of the way, but there's an underground stop close by.
The bed linen was excellent, and the shower temperature ranged from super cold to boiling hot, which we appreciated. However, the floor was dirty; housekeeping didn't clean because we had the 'do not disturb' sign on
A very good hotel. Although the rooms are a bit old, they are clean and tidy. The breakfast is also very good and colorful.
We never used the sauna because it was crowded with many naked men and the changing room was communal. When we went in, there was a small naked girl among the men, which made us uncomfortable, so we left

Very good price for the value. The staff is friendly and helpful, the room was clean and equipped. For breakfast they provide a lot of options. Walk from the central station is merely 10 minutes.
The hotel facilities are very good.
The hotel has a great location and the rooms are clean.
€30 per day, even if you check in at 8 pm! Shameful!
The mattress in the room is obviously dated and has dips without any support. Not to mention the four pillows, which are all completely flaked
The parking for Oktoberfest went up from 29 to 39 Euros, but it's very close to the festival. Breakfast was really mediocre; the only good thing is the location.
When parking in Germany, it is best to download the app in advance (you need to register in advance for handyparken. Using the app to park is very convenient. Otherwise, you have to buy a parking ticket from a machine)
Staff were incredible and went above and beyond to make the stay perfect. Room was spacious with a lovely view, large bathroom and a great on site spa / pool
We just stayed at The Charles Hotel in Munich and honestly had a really great experience. The service was top notch without ever feeling stiff. Every single staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind and helpful
Very convenient to get around, but still feels calm and refined. It’s also just a few minutes’ walk from Marienplatz, which makes exploring the city incredibly easy. Beautiful hotel and even better service
The concierge in particular was incredible — they were able to get us tickets to the FC Bayern match with zero hassle, which made the whole trip even more memorable
The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and turndown service was consistently done well. It’s one of those hotels where you come back at night and everything just feels taken care of
Unfortunately, there is another issue that may affect only more sensitive guests: the hotel has a swimming pool in the basement, and the pumps and ventilation systems operate 24/7
