A bit outdated interior but very comfy beds and clean

My wife and I stayed at this hotel, booked by a friend, and it completely exceeded our expectations! We usually stay at a nearby four-star hotel when we come to Munich, but it was fully booked this time, so our friend recommended this five-star. The cost wasn't much more than the four-star, but the upgrade in quality was well worth the slight price difference. We were extremely satisfied!

Our stay was a highlight of a recent two week trip. One unexpected great moment - we needed a tailor for extensive work on a dress for which we needed a very fast turnaround. The hotel has a tailor on staff and the work was completed in three hours start to finish! Excellent service!

At Hotel Bayerischer Hof, the check-in process was extremely delayed, and I did not receive my room until 3:30 p.m. My luggage was also delivered very late, arriving in the room close to 4:00 p.m. The service lacked professionalism and showed little care for guests. The staff should improve their performance, as this delay caused me to arrive late to the Oktoberfest event.

Beautiful historic hotel with many amenities and things to do. We throughly enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. The hotel is amazing! Staff were outstanding, especially Ben Said from Tunisia. They upgraded us to a spacious, classic-style room with a separate dressing room and option for a connected room. I saw reviews mentioning the shower water temperature fluctuating between hot and cold, and I experienced it too. It seems to be a common issue. Everything else was fine.

The room facilities themselves weren't really an issue, but the soundproofing was terrible. I could hear everything from the next room, especially doors opening and closing. To make matters worse, the guests next door were incredibly noisy at night. They'd come back at 3 or 4 AM every day, talking loudly, singing, and banging on the door. I barely got any sleep.

This room type is very close to the elevator, so the constant opening and closing of the elevator was quite noisy. The room itself, however, was quite good.

Someone knocked on our door in the middle of the night. I had no idea who it was, and they weren't speaking German. After I loudly asked who it was, they just said "towels." It was really scary. After we reported it to the hotel, they gave us a drink voucher.

The hotel's location is super convenient, right outside Nordfriedhof U-Bahn station. It's really easy to get to Allianz Arena or Marienplatz on the U6 line. The hotel facilities are very modern, there's a water dispenser in the lobby, and the rooms come with a capsule coffee machine.

Around 40min by underground to city centre. But, at least close to an underground station. The station is unmanned so you'll have to use the machine to get tickets. I was very satisfied with the hotel's facilities and the staff. The only downside is that the surrounding area is a bit chaotic.

It took us almost 30mins to get to Novotel from their local train station. It was -2 degrees n 8.30pm. We asked a few locals n even the staff working at the bakery where it was located. All of them gave us the wrong direction. We finally got it right after the 3rd time walking around n up n down the area for 15mins! Excellent experience! Room was extremely central and I was worried about noise but the windows were very effective and there was no noise in the room at all! Staff were very responsive. The only opportunity for improvement was the gym. Adding free weights and another mat and removing one of the cardio machines would make a huge difference.
