Check-in and check-out were very straightforward and pleasant, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, there were several problems with the room: there was no soap at check-in, the toilet smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and was generally very unpleasant. Even though we only used the room for sleeping, the air in the toilet was very humid and muggy, which made us feel uncomfortable. Furthermore, the rooms are very small, and the pillows were badly worn – they had hardly any volume, so you practically had to sleep without a pillow. Overall, the stay was rather disappointing, even though the process itself was well-organized.

The bed needs vacuuming. The room is very basic. The window doesn't really work, and the TV doesn't either. The staff is very friendly. The local tax is outrageous! The hotel is in the middle of an industrial area, miles away from Cologne. Parking is 5 euros. Breakfast is okay but too expensive. The price is outrageous; you can get better and cheaper hotels in other cities. Even a 5-star hotel in Prague. The trade fair is completely exploited! Rating: 4

Good value for money, good location (5 min walk from tram stop 7) which goes directly into town, relatively clean.

I will be happy to return once they have renovated the rooms. Most reviews I have read here are consistent in what they mark as problems. All heating is provided by air conditioning which is noisy. Sanitary equipment was adequate and clean and breakfast was better than expected. However, the area around the hotel is not inviting and so is the outlook from your window. Do not expect a curtain or alike. All in all, it was barely OK for a night but next time I will add some euros to my budget and go for a bit more quality.

Comfortable Ibis budget hotel with convenient location for the motorway. Breakfast was simple but nice and staff were welcoming. The location is surrounded by car retailers and industrial type units but there are a variety of fast food and better restaurants within a mile. Rooms were a bit hot bit beds were comfortable and very clean.

The hotel was majorly overpriced but this was due to the euros. The location was good and it has transport into the city centre nearby and was easy to use. The hotel was clean and quiet during the night. Found the receptionist to be warm and welcoming into the hotel on arrival.
