Due to a pilots’ strike in Germany, my flight to Düsseldorf was cancelled — clearly a situation beyond my control. Despite informing Hotel Aleksandra in advance, no fair or flexible solution was offered, such as rescheduling or a refund. This lack of understanding in exceptional circumstances is very disappointing. Hospitality should include empathy and customer care, especially when guests are affected by unforeseen events. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Unless this situation is resolved appropriately, I will avoid this hotel in the future and will continue to share my experience publicly to inform other travelers. I strongly encourage the hotel to reconsider its position and provide a fair outcome.

Had a great stay at Hotel Aleksandra. The room was just right for me as a solo traveller and the price was very reasonable for this area. Breakfast was included which was very basic but was at least something to start the morning off with. You can get free coffee or tea from the front desk all day which is an added bonus! I would highly recommend this hotel if you're in Düsseldorf.

The room was clean, bed comfortable, personal very nice and helpful, breakfast small but absolutely ok. I by mistake almost ran into their kitchen and didn't get yelled at. That was nice :)

Great value for money
booked a single room and due to availability I got a double bed without even asking. Comfortable room, breakfast is a bit basic but sufficient.
Good place to come back to whenever I have things to do in Düsseldorf

Stayed in beautifully quiet and cosy Bungalow at the back of the hotel. Amazing rain shower as well as a hand held shower and a bath also with a shower attachment. Nice room with wardrobe, shelves, ample power sockets, bedside tables and writing desk. Beautiful chandeliers throughout hotel and rooms. Staff friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast more than adequate but there didn't seem to be any cooked options. Staff happily offered me a Cappuccino when I asked. Great value and in a nice location with plenty of restaurants and green spaces nearby as well as the Rhein less than 10 minutes walk away. Absolutely loved it. Just watch out if you are staying in the bungalow that the door to the main building isn't put into window mode or you'll have to knock to be let in as you can't open it from the outside!

Excellent treatment in several languages. Good breakfasts, very clean and very close to the center walking or by public transport and accessible price to all. Recommended.

“Locked out”

The rooms in the backyard in the so-called "Bungalow" have a somewhat peculiar closing system with lock built-in battery that can also be empty. Then the door won't open and the key removed. This happened to me when I came back from dinner back to the Hotel. Very difficult to the employee of the hotel had to convince the caretaker to call in order to give me access to my room and my Luggage was. The lady would have had me quartered on the loved one where different, my Luggage, I would not have seen so quickly. It is the question of what is disabled: The locking system or the employee? For me, this was the last stay in this house.

Style ok
Rooms to the street due to the U-Bahn is very loud
Room bad calcium stains on all of the faucets, urine stains in toilet, strange hair in the bed, etc.), cleaned (
Device is defective (various bulbs, Aufhängug of the chandelier, chandelier, wobbly sockets, broken drawers)
- Ceiling height of just under 2m, that is, the chandelier hangs low over the bed and pokes you when you get Up quickly, however,
- Breakfast is very limited and space is very tight, with 20 guests at the same time running over to the pile of
Staff nice and Breakfast accommodating (hot drinks are offered personally)

Nice place to stay! Not one of those default city hotels. Our room was small but clean, nicely furnished, with good beds and a nice bath. Breakfast was good as well. If you have a room at the front side of the hotel, you might have to sleep with the windows closed due to the u-bahn or the other traffic.

There are some restaurants in the immediate area of the hotel, for dinner or coffee/drinks (the hotel itself has no bar). The city center (Altstad) is easily reachable by u-bahn, in about ten minutes. The u-bahn stop itself is a short walk from the hotel.
