The bed sheets and pillow had visible blood stains, and the bath towel was extremely old and worn—almost as if it had been in use for decades. In my written reservation request, I clearly mentioned that due to a recent surgery, I needed a warm or at least a normally heated room. However, the room I received was completely cold.
On the first night, the elderly gentleman at reception said nothing could be done and that the wall heater was already at maximum capacity. Even after an hour, it did not reach a comfortable temperature in the February cold.
On the second night, I was promised an electric heater within 20 minutes, but it was never delivered. After following up again, I was told nothing could be done. Due to the cold room and a recurrence of my discomfort, I left the hotel the next day.
There is no parking around the hotel, and the hotel itself does not offer parking. The nearest parking facility is about 100 meters away and costs €19.
The elevator is suitable for only one person at a time.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the room was a generous size. The only thing that would have made the room even better would have been a kettle but maybe that is just an English thing lol.
The staff were all so welcoming, kind and helpful, and made us our cup of tea after long days shopping, walking and basically living our best lives!
The breakfast was great, its buffet style so you can have as little or as much as you like. The selection of food was varied and delicious.
We would definitely stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone staying in Düsseldorf. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable and friendly 🤩
