Very nice hotel. Simple yet easy to use and good check out time. Unfortunately it was unclear up front that the parking was €15.50 per night so please be aware of this. For those using EV charging, the rate is €0.60/kW (June 2025) and is a 22kW charger.

The hotel is very close to Düsseldorf train station, and the room was clean and spacious. However, for some reason, when I checked in, they didn't assign me a standard room. Instead, I got a special room with an extra bed that looked very much like a hospital room. I had to go back to the front desk and request a normal room again before they gave me one.

The transportation in this place is a bit inconvenient, but the floor arrangement is very good, the view is very good, and the price is not very expensive. I will stay there again if I have the chance next time.

The field outside the Novotel was great to run the dog around after a long drive from Poland. We had stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is at a good location where every spots we planned to visit are at similar walkable distance. This is one of those “take it if you get a good deal” Places. It’s well located close to subway and tram stops and good cheap joints for lunch or breakfast. Its decor is dated but perfectly serviceable. Service was fine. We got a decent price, so were happy enough.

Hotel Astra was a cheap and convenient hotel for my needs for a weekend following euro 2024. It’s about 2 miles from Dusseldorf train station when walking. Plenty of other transport available.

The good: - Very clean. - Next to a chain grocery store. The bad: - They say reception is open 24/7 on their website but they close at 10 or even 9 pm. So they lie. - The staff was very cold and not smiling at all. Internet was horrible always disconnected. - Far from downtown. - You have to go to reception every time you need a cup of hot water! I chose their Techno room type. The room wasn't big, but it was perfectly adequate for one person. The room was very clean, but the soundproofing was a bit poor; I could hear people chatting in the hallway. The location is a bit far from the city center, but the station is right downstairs, and you can take the 707 train directly to the train station and Japan Street, so it's still quite convenient
