The Aquila Rithymna Beach is rated as a 5 star hotel possibly because of the proximity to the beach, waterpark and children's facilities, it's an ideal family hotel, however in my opinion it isn't suitable for couples or single people. We loved our first holiday abroad with our two boys. The hotel was beautiful, the staff helpful and the food delicious!! Such a big range on offer and didn't feel too busy. Mine and my partner’s stay at the Luxme white was absolutely fantastic from the location to the food and facilities were amazing. Everyday there was always something to do with amazing evening activities for everyone to get involved with the rooms were superb with amazing air conditioning. We spent 5 days in the Rethymno Palace as a couple, our teenage daughter and 4 of her friends. It's a nice hotel with indoor and outdoor pool and direct access to beach and sea. Everything was good! Room was cleaned everyday during our 2 weeks stay. I think only one day was skipped. I only disliked the glass door to the toilet, but it's a minor complain. Amazing place! Quite small compared to other places, what makes this place unique. You feel like a family member. Hotel is just about 2 years old. The hotel was unprepared as neither of our two rooms were ready and instead we were put in a different room which was barely up to standard. The next day we were supposed to get our rooms after 10:00 but they have pushed back the time every time we asked. Just choose a different hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for a week mid-August and it was one of the best vacations I’ve ever had! Obviously, the rooms have everything you need and are very clean and modern. So i was there with my family and it was very good. Like the service was always nice. The location was good but it could be better. And there was only one thing that was a bit wierd.
