The Aquila Rithymna Beach is rated as a 5 star hotel possibly because of the proximity to the beach, waterpark and children's facilities, it's an ideal family hotel, however in my opinion it isn't suitable for couples or single people. We loved our first holiday abroad with our two boys. The hotel was beautiful, the staff helpful and the food delicious!! Such a big range on offer and didn't feel too busy. Mine and my partner’s stay at the Luxme white was absolutely fantastic from the location to the food and facilities were amazing. Everyday there was always something to do with amazing evening activities for everyone to get involved with the rooms were superb with amazing air conditioning. Would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be returning in the future

This hotel has everything you need for a great relaxing vacation. I especially enjoyed the spa. I had two massages there, and I’ve never been more relaxed thanks to Stefanos and Hosmik. I can only recommend you visit them during your stay at this hotel.

We spent 5 days in the Rethymno Palace as a couple, our teenage daughter and 4 of her friends. It's a nice hotel with indoor and outdoor pool and direct access to beach and sea. We booked a massage in the Spa with the very friendly spa manager Hasmik. I got a really relaxing massage from the masseur Stefanos who was able to give me advice for my back problem.

Amazing place! Quite small compared to other places, what makes this place unique. You feel like a family member. Hotel is just about 2 years old. The hotel was unprepared as neither of our two rooms were ready and instead we were put in a different room which was barely up to standard. The next day we were supposed to get our rooms after 10:00 but they have pushed back the time every time we asked. Just choose a different hotel.

My wife and I spent 10 nights at this hotel. From the very start, right through to the last moment we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The receptionists have a lot of information and are friendly. My room was basic but comfortable. Fridge,kettle,tv(only German channels)and the a/c worked well.We were on the ground floor and had plants and olive trees to give us some privacy. The pool was nice and sunbeds were always available. The atmosphere is as described everywhere. A small Greek village where everyone has their own little apartment. Excellent rooms, large swimming pool in site, laundry, kitchenette and refrigerator. Air conditioned. Lovely hostess, Maria, always there to help. Rooms are clean and all amenities are present. Wi-Fi is only on pool area but they are working on it for every room.

We stayed in this hotel for 10 days. The hotel very friendly to families with children. Rooms very clean, cleaned daily every day. Change of towels with new ones every day. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff. Breakfast tasty and the products are fresh. Every now and then you can listen to live music in the bar, we had a great rock band. I highly recommend

Nice rooms, and interior, everything is clean and looks new. A lot of flowers inside and around the pool. Personel is very friendly. Near the windy beach (but all beaches in Crete are windy). Breakfast is nice and cool. Good small hotel.

Nice hotel if you want to relax in calm and clean appartment with pool, near to the beach and restaurants. In thr center of small place with some shops, 15 min by bus to the Rethymno. I love Crete ❤️

I don’t have any negative comments at all. The host/owner is super friendly and also very accommodating. Hey, go and spend double and treble the price, that is your choice, but when you consider you are out most of the day and night anyway, why would you! For me anyway, a perfect stay and location.

The apartments at Hotel Elida are run by a friendly and welcoming family who always take the time to have a chat & give advice on places to visit in the local area. Great location for my journey. Property is very close to the beach. Lots of dining options close by. Parking can be a pain but host goes out.of his way to be accommodating. Laneway to accommodation is very narrow for cars.

Peaceful, relaxing, close to beach in one direction, close to shops, restaurants & supermarkets in the other. Owners friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.
