Adele Beach Hotel

This is a lovely hotel, which is run by lovely people. From the really friendly welcome to the day to day excellent staff, it really stood out to us as a well managed hotel. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Food is all buffet, but it's an excellent buffet with really good quality food and cooking. Drinks are OK and the bars were run by two excellent ladies. Location is good on a lovely beach and a really nice, historic town just 10 minutes away. Clientele was mainly couples of near our age, with a few younger couples - it's not really a place for kids. We will be back!

Stayed here from 10th May 2025 for 6nights. Late arrival but greeted by a friendly lady at the bar who served us a refreshing drink and gave us a snack box as we had missed dinner. Room was super clean, modern and with a really super comfy king size bed. No draw space however which I found odd but we managed. So I gave this 4 green dots because my only criticism was the restaurant which wasn’t really like a restaurant but more of a canteen/cafe. It Lacked atmosphere I felt and we like to dress up for dinner but nobody bothered here. The food was of a very good standard, not loads of choice but there are only 88 rooms I guess so it’s saving on waste. The staff here are all friendly and work hard to keep their guests happy. Drinks arnt the best and served in tiny plastic cups during the day. Not strong spirits and the wine wasn’t great either. I didn’t like the coffee from the machines, tasted cheap so glad I took my own. Sometimes the music around the pool was too loud especially when you could see people trying to relax. The pool is clean and sun beds are plentiful plus right on the beach too so you can swap between beach and pool easily. Overall we had a lovely time and the hotel for what we paid served us well with only being 15mins on the bus into Rethymno which we loved. An old town full of narrow streets busy with shops/bars/tavernas. We went there most nights as there is nothing at the hotel to stay for. 2 euros on the bus is all it costs. If the hotel management invested in turning the restaurant into a more cosy ambience restaurant it would get the 5 green dots. Part of your holiday to me is dressing in your new holiday clothes and going down to dinner and enjoying your meal but I just didn’t get this feeling sat on plastic chairs on concrete tiled floors. Just change the furniture, get some rugs and you could make that place a little haven. I must say the grounds are lovely and spotless.

Upon arrival I was greeted with a complimentary cocktail. Furthermore, due to our late arrival they had made us a packed lunch for our dinner. The whole experience included excellent food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; a wonderful beach & pool location; a wide range of drinks for everyone’s needs; friendly staff; only a 15 minute drive to the main town which is great for all ages. The Adele Beach Hotel is a must visit on your next trip to Crete.

We highly recommend this hotel and had a wonderful stay. The staff were lovely, especially Anna. Everything within the hotel is perfectly situated and having the beach so near was lovely. I cannot thank the staff enough for making my mum feel so special on her birthday, from the balloons and fizz in the room to the birthday cake at the end of our meal. We will be back again for another week.

We went to this hotel as a quick honeymoon after our wedding. Couldn't have been happier with it. The staff were lovely and all super friendly. The drinks selection was great and so was the food. It is in a great location right next to the beach and near some great local restaurants and shops. The hotel was always very clean and tidy also. Cant recommend this place enough.

We highly recommend the Adele Beach. Not only a great location, right on the beach with a private area for guests, but close to shops, restaurants and cafes and a short bus or taxi ride to Rethymno which is well worth a visit. We arrived in the early hours and as the restaurant was closed the hotel provided a welcome snack and refreshing drink. The hotel offers a great choice of fresh food and the restaurant and pool staff were courteous and always smiling. A huge thanks to Nicos, a lovely man who seems to be everywhere, Anna (sweet, caring and so helpful) in the lobby bar, Katerina (reception)hugs and kisses Finally, a massive thanks to Christina who is not just a superb member of staff, but a beautiful person. Her manner, care and attention cannot be emphasised enough. We will always remember her great smile and willingness to help make our stay memorable.

An excellent week at this small charming hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming and we felt at home immediately. The room was basic but more than adequate for our needs. The cleaning was done to a high standard, we had a side sea view and the balcony was a great way to see the amazing view. I must add that the bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The food was tasty and varied daily. Plenty of choices for everyone including vegetarians. As the hotel is small, the food was served in small dishes with the restaurant staff refreshed the food regularly ensuring that it was always fresh and hot. The location is second to none, right on the beach and it was a joy to eat dinner outdoors and watch the sun set. Reasonable choices at the bars, good local beer on tap and wine also perfectly acceptable. We did enjoy a few of the cocktails too. The hotel was calm and peaceful with the clientele made up of couples in the main. No entertainment is provided which wasn’t an issue for us. Previous reviews indicated that problems were encountered with over booking but we did not have any issues and were allocated the room that we were expecting. If you are looking for a small quiet hotel serving great food with attentive staff in the perfect beachfront setting, this could be the perfect place for you.
