The location of El Greco Hotel is great. It's worth taking a room with a sea view, otherwise you end up seeing a hole-like courtyard, which, however, has plants. The additional charge for air conditioning is a rather salty 8eur/day/person, and the power of the air conditioning leaves much to be desired. The facilities are a bit shabby but clean. Positive : Overall a good place to stay, clean and quiet. Furniture and decor a bit tired. Only one pillow per person. Bed mattress also far too hard. Good AC, balcony also quite spacious. Negative: Only 2 glasses, 2 mugs and 2 tea spoon. Zero possibility when I requested a plate to enjoy a fruit, no ice, no shower facilities for evening check out, no AC at the reception area. Not a nice experience...

Lovely balcony and amazing view. A kitchen I could make a meal in. Comfy bed. A small problem in the room which was speedily sorted. Friendly and welcoming staff. A short walk into the main town areas and beach.

I wish I had stayed at Creta my whole time in Agios Nikolaos. The hotel was so much better than my previous hotel. The management was so friendly and helpful. I would happily stay here again on my next visit to eastern Crete.

Fantastic location, 5 star view, large room with kitchenette, very clean, large balcony, exceptional value. Bernadette and her (family) staff were very engaging and super helpful. Highly recommend. It is like you enter in a building of 1970, but in a good and nostalgic way... you will not find fancy bathroom and a pool but a great great view of the port and whatever needed for your vacations. The couple owning the hotel is taking care of everything and they're 2 of the most lovable people we met at Crete. Highly recommended

I stayed there a year ago and it was a lovely experience especially for the price. It is not an Americanized hotel meaning no air conditioning. Even with the lack of air conditioning it was an amazing experience especially form the owners

Had breakfast here every day of our stay. The owners are lovely and can't do enough for you. Crepes are fantastic and the Greek coffee is good too.

A great little find in an excellent location. The beach is a two minute walk ( make sure you nab a sun bed in front of Deja Vue cafe - brilliant service) and one minute to the shop. Most friendly reception plus helpful, the top room overlooking the sea was well equipped though the kettle was not supplied with tea or coffee, no problem lots of decently priced café bars and restaurants around. Only one minute to the sea; I would have liked to see some English news on the tv though the Wi-Fi signal proved to be excellent!

The location is perfect as the hotel is situated to a very central, though quiet area. The rooms are very spacy, full equipped and extremely clean. Affordable hotel located on a quiet side of the town still a short walking distance from centre. Beach and restaurants just a step away from main door. Clean room,bed was acceptable.Breakfast OK with scrambled eggs and bacon. The elevator and bathroom are quite small so "body positive" persons might have difficulties.

This hotel must have done some recent upgrades as room 401 had a fridge, stove sink, big shower, new floors, comfortable bed, no issues with cold/hot water, large patio and even a washing machine for clothes. All of this and it was the most affordable price in the area I 100% would recommend staying at this hotel! The owner was also lovely and helpful.

It was perfect for the one night that I stayed. Everything was super clean and the staff was really nice, plus the location was ideal. The view was amazing, I spent hours just sitting at the balcony looking at the sea. It's a great option especially if you're low in budget, you won't be disappointed. Big vfm.

We stayed as a family of 4 excelent location family business if you make an effort they will make it worth it, clean tidy room every day we stayed twice in a month of traveling around island walking distance to dinner many choices, yes parking is a challenge but that is the case in most of these types of towns in the greek islands, its part of the deal, 🍻

It is okay if you only need a place to sleep. The location is really good, except that it is difficult to find a parking spot. Also you have to go up some stairs to get to the hotel and then again to get to your room. The hotel is run from a supermarket downstairs and there is no real reception. Nice small and clean hotel. Don't expect too much for that price. Its 10 steps to the beach and restaurants. They have an elevator to the floors but in entrance you have to take like 10 stairs without help. We are happy here. Would recommend for that price. Friendly stuff.

Pleasant, quiet and inexpensive hotel. Good restaurant, cafe and beach within 2 mins walk. Be aware that there are several steps up to the main entrance from the pavement.

I love this hotel. Easy to check in and out. Nice staff. We stayed once in a simple room and once in a studio. Both were great. The studio is great for a longer stay. Feels like an apartment with lots of storage, desks, table, big kitchen. Clean and close to the city centre, just a walk away. Will go there again.

Good location, close enough to the bus station and to the port. Beaches/swimming spots were located 5 min walk away. Room was clean and good enough for two nights. Bed was slightly uncomfortable, but it was a good budget option.
