Dimitra Aparthotel in Agios Nikolaos

What a gem! We are currently staying in Dimitra Apartments and couldn’t be happier. A beautiful complex, with incredible views and a spotless, spacious apartment. Katerina and her sister have been very helpful, the apartment has cleaned to a very high standard every day and we have felt so welcomed and relaxed for our stay. Perfect for a family escape. An absolutely superb accommodation, perfect for staying in the lovely area of Crete.

My stay here lasted 7 days in peak time of summer, in the first week of august.

When we first arrived at the apartment, we were greeted with a very friendly, welcoming face. Katrina, one of the owners, showed us around and helped us settle into our apartment and she was very helpful and friendly in guiding us, as well as providing some knowledge about the local area. We found the 2 sisters that run the apartments very lovely, they were so kind and courteous in their services and very thorough with their daily maintenance of the apartment. They were superb, so thank you very much for your exceptional, friendly service!

The apartment itself was spacious, airy and was perfect for our stay. But most importantly it was absolutely spotless- it had been thoroughly cleaned ready for our arrival, which was brilliant.

The apartment we had was the lower floor open with a balcony right at the front facing the pool and the surrounding bay, and the views were absolutely stunning. We found ourselves eating meals regularly on the balcony taking in all of the natural beauty Crete has to offer.

Other residents were quiet and respectful- we encountered no issues from other people.

In the apartment, it comes with basic amenities for a budget friendly accommodation. Daily our beds were made and towels changed. All the little things that made the stay in the apartment a fantastic one. The air conditioning also worked perfectly, which was a godsend in the extreme heat alerts that occurred during our stay.

The pool outside was clean and hygienic, with an outdoor shower provided for showering before and after the pool. The pool was very quiet, having it to ourselves a few times which was nice. It was a good depth as well- from 1 meter down to 2 and a bit meres allowing people to enjoy the pool at various levels of competency.

Upon our departure, we were wished a friendly goodbye from Katerina, which was very appreciated.

I just want to say a massive thank you to the two sisters who run the apartments together, their exceptional service and friendly manner made this stay very enjoyable, and I would definitely stay here again if I ever travel back to Crete. Thank you so much for everything and making our stay very enjoyable :)

In our ecperience these self catering appartments are some of the cleanest and best managed appartments you can find in Crete! We have visited many times.

Family run Apartments, most of them with ocean view, Katherinas tips and story's are very special and interesting. Felt like family from the beginning. Strongly recommended when you want to get to know the real Crete and not the world of the big hotels. We will come again, for sure.

We stayed at Dimitra apartments for 4 nights. Everything was clean and apartment is ok for the stay. Nice beach is 3 minutes walk and good taverns and supermarkets are also near by. There is a "bar" at the pool area where you can buy simple breakfast (we didn't tried it) and cold drinks. Hosts were kind and helpful. Appartment is cleaned every day by hosts. Good value for the price!
