Beautiful spot and much better out of season as in season it gets too crowded. love the private beach. Could be more space around the pool.

Similar story to some other reviews- we really wanted to love this place and had high hopes. We have been to many Ikos and Lux resorts and thought this would be on par

They advertise premium alcohol, but every day when we ordered a bottle of wine, we had an issue. Most of the time they didn’t have it. The Manager confirmed to us that it was end of season and its supply issues

Usually a true 5* resort would then upsell rather than trying to sell you a poor alternative that tasted awful. When we complained, we would then be able to order it but have the same issue later on or the following day

There is no evening entertainment apart from a very basic show on a beach one night. We were Resident club with a large room and pool area but the pools aren’t heated

We had a lovely week at this resort in Oct. Very organised on arrival, a buggy took us to our room, which was a deluxe sea view. Very beautiful large room with large fridge, very comfortable bed and excellent shower

Prior to our visit, i messaged the hotel to pre-arrange some flowers etc, They provided many options depending on the budget. When we arrived to our hotel room they provided the flowers in a lovely

Best bits of beach in the area Fun 5 days. Great for families. We were ok with that, never seen so many push chairs in one place 😂 Greek Restaurant was good, we were not all inc.

We came to Mirabello for 10 days for our Honeymoon with our 2 year old son. From arrival up until the last day, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Good internet working throughout the hotel, even in the room, even on the beach. The child included cartoons from youtube and contact

Ioanna was incredible. Really targeted the muscles and eased the tensions.

A special shout out needs to be given to Matthew, the concierge, who went above and beyond in every respect taking immediate care of any request and ensuring all of our requests were taken care of

Beautiful sea views and sunrise Wonderful room with perfect sea views and spectacular sunrise. 25 minute walk into the main town (Agios Nikolaos) and lovely taverna close to the hotel and on the beach

Went in October and there were lots of sunbeds available around the pools

We were delighted w our room w its own private pool. Buffet food was super and easy to change for lunch instead of dinner. Staff were very polite and helpful. Facilities were clean and well maintained

Pools weren't heated so felt very cold but got used to it! Food was good but would have liked more Greek dishes and more vegetarian options - but there was always enough to eat

The point that we didn’t like that much was the bathroom in our room, a little bit small with a small cabin shower, no individual hygiene products such as shampoo or bathing gel and there was no much attention to the fact of refilling the products available

We struggled a bit with the toilet door lock which seemed to be old and the door handle wasn't very stable. This was our first time with all inclusive and we absolutely loved the food in the buffet restaurant

I have had many efficient and competent spa treatments, but this was a singular experience. The therapist was very skilled and her holistic approach worked wonders in the span of 60 minutes

Blue Marine has a very peaceful location, so if you're looking for a relaxing experience and amazing views, this might be a great choice

The sun loungers by the pool were all reserved at 7 am so it was nice that there were plenty of sun loungers also on the beach. Just beware that the lift between hotel and beach could be unreliable

Excellent as usual 13th time at his hotel we love it, food excellent and varied choices at each meat, staff very friendly and always helpful . This year he man pool is heated which is a plus

We had a large balcony facing the sea and it was really nice in the evenings when the temperature got milder. The room was all in all clean

Our friends had a large suite on the ocean which was nice, But a very long walk to pool and restaurants

Amazing food (actually too good). Only downer is a 100 euro "climate crisis tax" slapped on your bill at the end. If you're going to obligatorily add 100 euros to a bill. You should say this at the time of booking

The hotel has lovely grounds, lots of greenery, this Bungalow opens out to the water. The area is framed by wonder, placed modern sculpture Greek painters from the art collections of sculptures

When do we draw the line on this? A "water crisis tax" of 20,000 euros slapped on a check out bill? I realise it's not all their fault

Fantastic hotel, one of the best we’ve been to. Place is quiet, full of families with very well behaved children, teen children, and couples looking for a relaxing time

Great place for families with children. If you have kids - take the seaview Suite away from the sandy beach. It's got its own stone pier, there are no children.

The location and the hotel setting is gorgeous. Loved it! We were with our child and my in-laws. We also could swim every day in the sea in the end of October - beginning November

I also want specifically to mention and thank the personnel. Despite we were in the end of the season, they were still so enthusiastic, so helpful, so polite and so simply nice after all these months of hard work

The guys at the receptions were stars! :) The ladies in the Kids Club, the staff at the reception, the people in the restaurants, the cleaning ladies, the Golf Car drivers (I hope I remembered them all) - everyone were so nice and helpful! We want to come back! THANK YOU!

Candia Park Village is one of those rare places that manages to combine authenticity, comfort, and natural beauty in perfect harmony. After two wonderful visits, we already know it won’t be our last

Everything was top! Can't think of anything that was wrong, honestly. We were there also during the Halloween, and our child had been upset to miss it in his hometown

Absolutely amazing hotel and staff - very calm and quiet atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble for them. The only one tiny annoyance was there were often kids running around and jumping in the pool making noise etc

A few suggestions for improvement: some light background music around the pool and restaurant area would help avoid the awkward quiet during meals and create a more relaxing ambiance

This hotel has a beautiful setting, on the stunning Mirabello Bay. The grounds are well laid out and maintained, with plenty of places to sit and relax, and easy access to the pools and the small private beach

We were delighted to be invited to the farewell meal at The Minotaure Restaurant where we dinned by candlelight under the stars and food, service were exceptional We cannot wait to return next season

The hotel was closing for the season but standards did not drop at any time

The manager was often to be seen greeting and interacting with guests, and we appreciated the gifts of wine and cake in our room

The (artificial) sand beach is quite small, but was enough for the number of guests at the time. Terraces with comfortable sun loungers next to the beach. I had a bungalow with sea view

I appreciate that a good choice of local greek and crete specialities is available in addition to the usual things one gets everywhere. A range of dishes are freshly cooked all the time, some in live cooking

I see this as a consequence of the spacious setting in a pretty landscape. 50 minutes walk to Elounda town center, no bus connection. All staff is very friendly and helpful

The beach area, the restaurants, the attention to all details, are all first class! A unique experience, from first to last minute

We stayed at Elounda Peninsula in October as a family of three in room 3159, which had a private pool and split level

The private beaches are probably the best on the island, with soft sand and wave breakers that keep the water calm and peaceful. It made for the most relaxing days by the sea

Lunch service from the beach chairs wasn’t up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel—the menu was limited, food and smoothies were not great, and alcohol options were lacking

The photos were quite limited, so we didn’t know exactly what to expect, but the space and layout were far beyond what we imagined. We arrived late, and the staff were kind, patient, and incredibly accommodating

The children’s pool is gently heated and perfect for little ones, and there was plenty to do around the grounds. We didn’t end up using the creche much because we were happy just spending time together on site

Our kids absolutely loved the pool – we could hardly get them out of it! The buffet food was always fresh and delicious

A Truly Amazing Stay – Like Paradise! We’ve just returned from an incredible stay at this hotel as a family of four from Scotland, and we’re already missing it! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm, friendly smiles from the staff, who couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming

if i could live in this hotel I would. the beach is stunning, staff is kind and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and clean

The location was amazing! It was an easy walk to the main pool (which we only used once since we had our own pool), the bar, breakfast restaurant and lobby area. My bathroom was 200+ square feet

Our rooms were cleaned multiple times daily, including an evening turn down service. Our pool was spotless and the water was pleasantly refreshing. The pictures of this resort and the rooms truly do not do it justice

We stayed in a 2 bedroom superior bungalow with a private pool (Bungalow 1/1A)

Everything was a gorgeous marble, floors and walls alike. The closets were so elaborate and beautifully appointed my sister took pictures of how they were laid out as she was getting ready to do a remodel of hers

My sister and I traveled to Crete for an annual birthday trip. Neither of us had been to Greece before and Elounda Mare and Crete did not disappoint. I cannot say enough positive things about the resort

Both Elounda Bay Palace and Elounda Beach have a car rental desk, where the lovely Phaedra provided us with a clean, well-equipped car at a great price

We booked again for the Elounda Bay Palace, staying for 7 nights in June and looking forward to our 7th visit. We were given a lovely reception upon arrival as always, quick check in progress and were shown to our room

We had a side sea view which was different, but a good view towards the sea. Very clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Very close to the restaurant, which was convenient and access to the beach

We hoped to book one with a private pool, but not this time. Only just moved house, so that’s life. Looking forward to our 8th visit, and the Cretan sun and hospitality

She speaks several languages, is funny, and such a pleasure to be around. She also gave us excellent tips on what to visit and where to eat. All the staff were extremely polite and paid great attention to the guests

Breakfast and dinner was excellent with a variety every night, and always hot and well prepared. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and it makes our stay so much more enjoyable

As others have mentioned, there weren't enough beds around the pool or on the beach, however this wasn't really the hotel's fault, there just isn't enough space for more

My friends and I stayed here for a week at the very end of the season and had the most fantastic time. The rooms were nice and clean, the staff were super friendly and great fun too

The new sky deck bar and pool is a great addition, the views are incredible. We had B&B which suited us, as there are many restaurants within a 5 min walk

We had a jet 2 week holiday at this lovely hotel. We had a superior grove room, which was well equipped and spacious but lacking in a view. I think the main building has the better views, but much smaller rooms

The breakfasts are served in the ground floor restaurant and overlooking the bay. Everyone was very welcoming, we feel that we had found a little gem of a hotel and will be back

The food in the restaurant was delicious and we absolutely loved the rooftop bar. Elounda is the most fabulous place to visit, full of charm and friendly people

If you carried on walking straight on instead of turning right there were more shops and then after about a 20 minute walk from the hotel bungalows was the lake, restaurants and where you could get a boat to Spinalonga, the Happy Train and the semi submarine, The rooms at the Ariadne are large, lots of storage and a big balcony with side sea views

Not far to walk to the two pools although steep in parts but manageable and buggy’s were around the resort. The swimming pools aren’t heated like most aren’t abroad but were amazing to have a good swim in and never busy

The location was excellent about 10 minutes flat walk along a promenade to a lovely large sandy beach- Almyros beach or a pebbly beach just in front of the hotel

The town was about a 10 minute walk through a residential area before the start of some shops or a walk towards the sea, tavernas, shops and the marina

The ladies on reception couldn’t do enough to help especially Maria. Always helpful and with a smile. The spa and staff were excellent. I had two massages and facials which were amazing the products organic and Cretian

Oversaw the area brilliantly everyone felt special and looked after he is a legend. George is also amazing and excellent at his job and in quieter moments it was so interesting to talk to them both

Lovely hotel, super location on the beach short walk to centre (lake) 5 mins only, supermaket outside, reasonable spa, lovely room nice decor, amazing amaneiteis - Cool Clarins bottle red color, breakfast restaruarant on 5/F overlooking the sea, infinty pool all great

Stayed at NIKO for a long weekend in mid October - we had the BEST weather (sunny and warm but not too hot) and really enjoyed our time there. The views are just stunning (definitely recommend sea-view rooms)

Wonderful stay! Not far from the city center, the pools are nice and the staffs are friendly. Breakfast was so good and they even have live musician playing for dinner

It is very sad situation that there is no beach access for an island resort yet the hotel is very nice and Maro Dyalina is a pearl. Her service is amazing and she make sure all the guests enjoy their stay

In my room there was only ONE free plug. I suggest bringing those things you plug in that actually have more sockets. There is no gym and the beach is very close

The staff doesn't seem familiar with the restaurant's rules. We had drinks included (1/4 wine and 1/2 water per person), and there were no problems with the water, but we had to ask for the promised 1/4 wine

Well located not far from the marina and the city center, this hotel seems to be surviving. The rooms are clean and the bedding is comfortable. In the bathroom, a tiny bathtub doubles as a shower

Using the shower inevitably floods the area around the bathtub. The plumber clearly has shares in a silicone factory, given the quantity used in this small room

A well run hotel just round the corner from the beach and marina with nice restaurant and 1st floor pool. the bar area a little dark but promise of update this winter will improve that I hope

The room, place, food, beach is excellent. Manus and Asimina were the best host we ever had experienced. We will be coming again to the place and we highly recommend the place to visit a place just like a paradise

I ‘ve stayedin Faedra Beach hotel this year in august. I liked the hotel staff, always helpful, friendly and welcome. I felt I was the local amongs them. The room was clean, and being cleaned every morning

This place is magical! It’s in such a special place and has an wonderful energy. Early November is a beautiful time to go - very peaceful beach, exquisite clear water, calm, and such a warm welcome

Also the hotel location and it’s restaurant right away to the beach, with it’s support at the beach with various snacks and beverages

For these reasons, I still give it 5 stars. And it is very close to the Ammos blue flag beach

Restaurant, bar & reception was modern & clean. 2 minute to beach and close to restaurants, bars, cafes & shops. Beds were comfortable & clean. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room

Nowhere to get changed in the hotel after you had checked out of the room. No umbrellas for the sun beds out by the pool. Our balcony overlooked a derelict building and not a city view as the booking suggested

The location couldn't be any better, 1 min marina beach and excellent walks around the peninsula from Marina to the port and lake this way is a flat surface to walk it

The hotel is a city hotel, and shouldn’t be compared with large all inclusive hotels. The facilities are fine, it’s well organised, and pleasantly compact, and very close to a beach and the town centre

First the negatives, the single room I was in was clean, but in need of a general update; there was also a safety issue where the gap between the end of the bed and the wall where the TV was fixed, was so narrow that you had to crane your neck to avoid a collision

The beach near hotel is extremely quiet but does have free sunbeds, we preferred to walk to Amoudi beach 10 mins away which has a few tavernas nearby but sunbed hire is quite pricey

Restaurant is very expensive for what it is in the evenings and even the staff are clearly embarrassed about that. OTOH they did lay on a free hot meal for late arrivals which wasn't expected but was greatly appreciated

Nice hotel outside the centre of town but close enough to still get in easily and with some local shops and tavernas close by as well

At night only the promenade area is lit so use a torch for the last bit. However a taxi back is only 8 euros. The bus to Elounda stops just around the corner from the hotel and only costs 2 euros

Staff were always polite and helpful. Room was clean, well furnished and had a lovely sea view

Nice atmosphere and views, spacious and quiet, 14+ affects Agios Nikolaos is a watch not to see the city

There's a lovely bar area by reception that leads straight out to the pool so you can grab a drink sit back and relax on one of the comfortable sun loungers

To there's also fresh bread and rolls to choose from and a vast array of dried fruit and even cakes and doughnuts. This is an adult only hotel so if you are looking for a romantic break this place is definitely for you

I am going to miss this place so much, the staff is really friendly and the room we booked was literally the best. You got the sunrise every morning, it's magical. Would definitely go back there

A very nice hotel situated overlooking the bay in agios Nikolaos. Rooms are light and airy with rooms cleaned on a daily basis with fresh towels

The staff is super pleasant and available. Evening meals change every day (be careful, it's very generous for small and medium appetites 😉). Super nice swimming pool with a beautiful view of the sea, beach nearby

The only downside is a cramped shower (standard room with sea view). But that did not detract from the beauty and tranquility of this stay

It was a great hotel, 5 minutes from a splendid beach. The staff was kind, non invasive, friendly and helpful. They have a swimming pool, some cute small dogs and very nice rooms with balconies

We reviewed this hotel 6 years ago and this is our fifth visit. I shouldn’t have to say anything else really. This is of those rare establishments where they genuinely care whether you are having a good holiday

We've had a fantastic week here! The hotel is really well located, only 20 minuter walk along the beach to get into the town. The restaurant is great, the staff is nice and helpful and the rooms are really nice

New management has definitely injected a new dynamic into a tried and tested formula. Looked after by loyal staff who know their customers

Top of my review must be Angela and George who work on reception, they are both really friendly and helpful, they advised us where to eat, the best beaches, places of interest to visit, Angela even found me a good shop to purchase a lovely handbag, nothing was too much trouble! A room with a sea view is a must, the view from our balcony was beautiful

A cleaner visited the room every day. You can eat well at breakfast, although the offer is pretty much the same every morning. There is no swimming pool, but the beach is wonderfully close

The location of El Greco Hotel is great. It's worth taking a room with a sea view, otherwise you end up seeing a hole-like courtyard, which, however, has plants

The room was cleaned every day. The ladies who done breakfast always welcomed us every morning with a cheery greeting and a nice choice of buffet. The hotel is in the best location just a short walk to everything

The hotel is in a great location with the town centre and beach both very close and the seaview rooms offering an incredible view of the bay. The room itself was clean and comfortable

We rested at the hotel in early October 2025. First of all, I want to note the professionalism of the manager Tanzel - he will always tell you about the shops nearby, about the order in the hotel, etc

Regarding the hotel - Mistral bay has a great location - 1 coastline of the sea and near the town center - very convenient! The rooms after renovation - we really liked ours (especially the direct view of the sea)

The Hotel is in a brilliant position, close to the sea and a short walk to all the bars and restaurants and the lake. Also about a 20 min from a really lovely little beach

We stayed at the Mistral Bay Hotel and were very happy. The hotel is modern and the Premier Sea View room had the most amazing view. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom modern with a powerful shower

The overall impression is super good! And the price/quality ratio is mixed on the side of quality - and that's cool! I recommend Mistral bay 4 * and book rooms with a sea view!

I stayed 4 nights and it was my first time in Crete, enjoying the sights and also visiting family who had recently moved to the area. The room was very spacious with a large balcony and a side view of the lake

There is also a nice lounge and terrace overlooking the lake and the seafront is 2mns away. Price was very reasonable for late May. Will definitely book again for my next visit!

We were there for Easter Celebration. A perfect beautiful view to capture all the festivities of the Easter celebration. A quaint village with wonderful restaurants and pleasant people

I had a wonderful time staying at this hotel, the room had a beautiful view looking out onto the lake, the bed was extremely comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful

I found my whole stay very relaxing and will definitely stay here again when I come back to Agios Nikolaos

The reception lady was nice, kind and helpfull even though she said it was her 3rd or 4th week at the job, but her colleague with visible face tattos and dressing code that is not sutable not only in a hotel but any job in our opinion, made us a negative impresion

Jeanett in “the baaaaa” makes a fantastic G&T 😍 The room with a seaview is recommendable. The breakfast is also great and every morning they make small changes in variation. The homemade lemonade is really tasty

Lovely hotel just a short walk to promanade and beach, then 15 minute walk into town. The hotel is very clean and all the staff friendly. Have stayed here many times before but had not been for 7 years

We arrived at 3am and were greeted by Nikos who was friendly and had cold bottles of water and a quick check in ready for us! The pool is lovely, never too crowded and gets the sun all day (but there are plenty of shaded options too)

The staff make this hotel, from the men at reception to the breakfast ladies and bar staff, Sally and Jeanette - who makes an outstanding Aperol Spritz! The rooms are clean and the air conditioning is well worth it

This is a very nice hotel near the marina, a bit away from the chaos of the center of A. but still close to restaurants, the beach, etc. The perfect location in my opinion. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful

Had a 2 night stay in the Deluxe Double Room with seaview and minipool. The room is spacious and nicely decorated. Large balcony area which had sun loungers, table and chairs plus the minipool

We spent quite a bit of time on that deck. Breakfast was very good as well. Good selection of foods in a nice room. t try the pool or spa so can't comment on those facilities

The room was good, however the bathroom needs renovating (the shower was leaking and the toilet seat was too short for the toilet). Overall, it was a good hotel and I would stay there again

Very nice location, the town here is so quaint & lovely. The room was great, bed comfortable and I was in love with the plunge pool. Short walk to the beach & the restaurant next door was great

The suite (the pool is even more amazing than pictures suggest) and location so close to the beautiful Almyros beach and short drive to Agios Nikolaos made this a wonderful stay

We stayed for a week in the unique suite. It is as spectacular as it looks on the pictures. The pool is massive for 2 people and the views are stunning. Everything is super clean and beautiful decorated

You have a private path onto the beach but we just stayed in the room which honestly felt like paradise. Agios Nikolaos is a big town with lovely places to eat and drink only 5 mins in a taxi

Best hotel I stayed at in Crete Excellent hotel, room was beautiful, pool was clean, staff was amazing. 10/10!

Breakfast being brought to your room every morning was delicious and enough food for lunch. The service was outstanding! Dimitris the manager couldn’t do enough for us and made our stay super special

It was my first time visiting Greece and I was definitely not disappointed. The environment is large and maintained. The food did not disappoint either. There are several pools, not one or two bars

We liked the bar the most, Nagy and Popi, the bartenders working by the pool just down from the reception. Very kind and attentive to everyone

Our two alacarte meals at pergola and the beach restaurant were excellent, not to be missed. Received a Nice going away present, Entertainment was good at the covered terrace bar

Covered bar next to reception not open through the day, bit of a con having only the pool bars open when the weather is bad, Only one bus a day to Heraklion 9

Not their fault it was raining. There is no indoor pool at Cretan village, surprising as it is so large. Nowhere for people to go when the sun is not shining

The sunbeds were mainly in the shade which is lovely, but would benefit from some sunny areas. Located with easy reach to a small but beautiful beach with tavernas, bar and small shop

The place is next to the sea and is very clean to the point of being spotless. This is a family run business and i felt welcome the moment i arrived and felt the same until the time i left

George and family are very friendly and helpful. George showed me where an octopus was living near his pontoon with a little help from him to dive down to it

Excellent location Great room with lovely view overlooking the sea, met the owner fortini who was very friendly and pleasant , room was well equipped with everything you could need , our flight home was late at night and we asked could we keep the room on at a extra cost, but fortini explained that the room was already booked for new arrivals , but found us another room , we asked how much and how...

Well appointed apartment very close to the beach and fantastic eateries. Perfect for couples and older families. Small pool that didn't get too crowded or loud

The kitchen was equipped with a 2 x ring hob, mini oven, pots and pans, fridge, etc. The washing machine and clothes drying rack were especially welcome. Fotini had very generously left basic kitchen supplies for us, I

Added to was the bonus of the delightful Fotini who welcomed us warmly and offered helpful advice & recommendations. We have a fabulous few days there & I would happily recommend Bellevue Suites to my family & friends

We found parking easily on the street outside the apartment building. Fotini answered the buzzer herself and showed us to our apartment. It was spotlessly clean and newly renovated

Everything in the apartment was immaculate. There is a nice kitchenette with a sofa and a further balcony which was perfect (with a fridge, kettle and Nespresso machine and facilities to enjoy snacks/ light meal)
