Our stay at Royal Sun was wonderful. We enjoyed very comfortable rooms, nice pool area, excellent breakfast and dinner in Michelin-class restaurant The Hill with an amazing view over Chania city. The free transfer service to Chania Old Town and back (shuttle bus goes every 30 minutes) offered by hotel is definitely a plus! Instead of having three, the hotel is absolutely worth four stars.

We arrived at the hotel and didn't regret it for a moment. This is the worst hotel in Greece from Athens all the way to Heraklion in Crete to Chania. If you were in a three-star hotel for 1,000 a night, I would think you were pretty good, but if you said that you were in a five-star hotel for 2,400 a night, I would find it ridiculous. We went there during the off-season. There were almost no shops open around on Sundays, but the city center was a half-hour walk away and it was quite lively. The air conditioning in the room did not heat the room, the balcony was large, and there were not many types of breakfast.

Our stay was absolutely amazing, even during rainy days. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the views from the room were just amazing. We had a great few days stay here and would definitely come back again!

We stayed here for a few days in October half term. We were lucky with the weather so could relax on the hotel’s sun loungers right on the beach. Breakfast was amazing every day with fresh orange juice and cake as well as a great choice of cooked food (eggs, bacon, sausage). The staff were so friendly and helpful. Staff and management are absolutely excellent top notch service and always willing to go over and above, helpful with food recommendations and a kind word we had the owner take time out of his busy day to drive my mother in law to dinner she is 81 and first vacation in years and she had an amazing time and all the management including Theonisis and Anna are absolutely fabulous and thoughtful 10/10...

A lovely family run high end hotel directly at probably the best sandy beach in the Chania area. The management and the very service minded staff pays high attention to all guests. This was the second time we've stayed at the Thalassa and we were so pleased we did . Fantastic hotel , lovely staff , great room and a good size balcony with a pull out clothes drier. Back for a 2nd year and it didn’t disappoint. Our cruise ship was detoured here due to high winds and dangerous surf. We emailed the resort and asked for a day pass, which they offered to us. We rented a lovely day bed and towels and enjoyed the sun, bar, and restaurant service. The staff was all polite and professional. Our lunch of pork gyros was delicious. This was a great way to spend a windy day.

We have just returned from another wonderful week at this hotel (4th year running) We had a double sea view room which was clean, comfortable and of ample size. Not 5* lovely reception area and relaxation terrace but needs some maintenance in places and staff although friendly and helpful need training to get things working more smoothly. Lovely quite spot and well needed rest.

I and my family liked a hotel a lot. The intertaimant team Dorota and Marro the best!!! All inclusive is nice for family with children.
