Chania Town, Πλατεία Σοφ. Βενιζέλου &, Staratigoy Tzanakaki 2 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
We were staying four nights at this hotel. We had a great time. The view from our big balcony was amazing. Near to everything in old town. Breakfast was amazing. Good quality food and fresh. People were all friendly and polite, full of professionalism. Kiki of the front desk was so helpful of everything. She helped us to book our two amazing trips in Balos and Elafonisi. She recommended to us great...
View from upper floor of the old city is stunning. Located just 5min walk from the old port which offers many restaurants and tourists shops. Very nice breakfast with many options. Valet parking is a big plus.
Rena is an amazing bartender. She is amazing at everything she does. I really appreciate her welcoming attitude. I have never been more welcomed at any other location. Being an outsider I really appreciate being involved in her day to day. I highly recommend that if you are coming to Crete that you look her up. Another amazing worker is Katerina. She was great to interact with. Her upbeat attitude...
Entire staff provided service with a smile which made our stay extra special. Rooms were well furnished with a PS5 game console in our suite. Breakfast was awesome. Located near restaurants and market.
Hotel was nice and all, location is great, however: - The walls are paper thin, you will hear literally everything going on next door and above, and if there is any sort of festival outside going on, good luck sleeping! - There is a vallet service as the parking lot is small, and the staff takes your car to a nearby lot if required. Staff scratched my rental car's driver side door during my trip,...
We had a fantastic time at Kydon Hotel! It’s definitely one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at so far. The location is beautiful, the staff is amazing, and everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. I would especially like to mention Rena from the bar on the first floor — she truly made our stay unforgettable! Also, a big thank you to Elena, Anna, and Ioanna, who made sure every morning...

The staff at the hotel were warm and welcoming, friendly, helpful and made our holiday better!
Family comfort 😊 This hotel was ideal for family travel with connecting rooms. Lovely staff that is very accommodating.
Very good city location by walking distance to the Port, Bazaar (Central) and short driving distance to the Hanya Beaches. Excellent and very warm hospitality! Good room with good-brand almost new furnished bathroom. Lots of delicious and fully-fresh variety selections of breakfast everyday. Very special thanks to Michael, Vassilis and Alexandros from F&B Team and Anastasia from the Reception for their...
Loved our stay at the Akali Hotel! Beautiful facilities. In a very convenient and walkable area steps away from restaurants and Old Town. Breakfast was excellent. Also had stellar service from front desk staff (particularly Irena who was very helpful for recommendations throughout our stay). Would recommend!
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh food options.
Very expensive for what you get, rooms are adequate at best, pool is small, surrounding area to pool is tight, breakfast was good however. Location is OK, 10-15 mins into old town harbour.

Breakfast OK, Friendly staff, Breakfast could be better. Quite noisy due to thin walls and gaps in the door. Small bathroom
Everything was good, perfect location.
Friendly staff, Great location , within walking distance to the harbor , super clean and great breakfast
The location is excellent and travel is very convenient. The bus station is within a 3-minute walk. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. But the rooms facing the street are a bit noisy
The Morum at Chania room was very clean. Even though a little too small, we managed. The washroom very small with no shelf to leave your everyday personal items, making it a little difficult especially when you are there for 8 nights. Reception staff especially Mikel & Vicky, all amazing, very friendly and always willing to help. Breakfast was more than plenty and delicious and the staff, Nicollet...

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. I stayed for 4 nights, with the last night in the suite. The rooms were spacious, well-equipped, and kept spotless thanks to frequent cleaning. The air conditioning worked well, and the staff were exceptionally pleasant and always ready to help. The breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of options to suit every taste. I also enjoyed the spa — the...
A nice hotel with a pool and SPA near old town Chania with a nice breakfast buffet. You can walk to the old town along the sea. There was a welcome cocktail for every guest. We had a nice stay there for three nights.
Clean, good condition and friendly staff. Loved our stay here. The location is very central but at the same time quiet. We went during the low season so might have been lucky regarding that as well. Very friendly and helpful staff, great cleaning staff! The breakfast was good. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Amazing hotel! Spacious and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a very rich and varied breakfast. Just a few minutes from the Old City. I highly recommend this hotel!
An excellent hotel from which to explore Chania Town. I can not praise the hotel enough for the wonderful staff, cleanliness, rooms, bed (so comfy) and variety of food at breakfast We loved every minute of our 2 week stay there and would gladly return
Had a great time here for a week stay in Chania. Lovely modern room with good breakfast and a nice spa, and a short walk to the old town and a small but nice beach. We used the parking which was quite tight but not too bad, there is free street parking around but this gets quite busy. This is €10 per night. We didn’t use the pool, this is in the central courtyard of the hotel and basically in constant...

The location was great - nearly in the middle of Chania and within walking distance of the old town and the port. The service was great, with the staff really trying to be very helpful. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. Parking was interesting tho, but the staff helped heaps to ensure that we could arrive and leave without too much fuss. The rooms were quite roomy and the beds comfy.
Great place to stay in Chania. Service was impeccable and thanks to Bena, Maria, Likourgos and George for their hospitality and awesome advice on things to do (and avoid). Stay in the top floor penthouse if you can. Amazing apartment like room with two HUGE private rooftop patios. Free morning breakfast was great and easy walking distance to Old Town. Would definitely stay again!
We stayed at Samaria Hotel for four nights as a couple with a toddler, and the experience was simply wonderful. The hotel is charming with a perfect location, everything is spotless and sparkling clean. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, making the stay very comfortable. Brilliant hotel, located so close to the old town and harbour but just those few steps away so it feels calm and quiet. Rooms clean and facilities well thought out, breakfast was incredible! We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Chaina, Greece! Unlike our experiences elsewhere, we were warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. We have just returned home from a two week holiday in Chania. The Samaria Hotel was great! The location was perfect, we could walk into the Old Town/Harbour in 10 mins. The buses were very handy. Located centrally, this hotel is stunning. Parking can be a bit tricky if you are used to North American style car garages, but nothing we couldn’t deal with. Breakfast was incredible as well.
Clean, beautiful rooms in a great location, with a few drawbacks. Drawbacks: - Heating/cooling: The building only supports one or the other. We were here on hot days and the fan was blowing hot air only. - Slow WiFi - Parking: limited spots in their parking lot, street parking was difficult and confusing, we came back to 4 parking tickets on our windshield Positives: + Hotel is beautiful and centrally...
Great hotel, nice staff and very clean. Park next door, very noisy! Band played until 11:30pm.
The hotel is very nice and clean. Breakfast was good, and we really liked the lovely inner terrace – it’s a nice spot to eat and relax. The rooms were very clean, though a bit small, but cozy. The only downside is that there was no storage space (at least not in our room), so we had to keep our clothes in the suitcase. The hotel has a parking area, but it’s quite small and often full, so we had to...
The breakfast was so much more than the usual self service. Fresh, plentiful, delicious, perfectly staffed, nothing I would change. The room was generous, toiletries exceptional, again, I’d change nothing
We've been there for 2 nights around mid September. Beautiful hotel and confortable rooms with excellent breakfast. Located less than 10 min walking from the old harbourd. Possible to park your car in the parking of the hotel. Last but not least, a very welcoming stuff, specially Elena who helped us a lot and gave us good advices for visiting. We salute her.

We absolutely loved our stay at Captain Vasilis Hotel in Chania Old Town! The room with a balcony was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had a stunning view of the harbor. A special thank-you to Constantina, our wonderful receptionist, who made our stay truly unforgettable. She...
Stayed upstairs in a room with a balcony in late June/July and had a lovely time. Beautiful views and close to everything but set back enough (although depending on the wind you’ll hear the late-night bars across the harbour). Vasilis is very laid back and gave us some good recs. Sorted out my lost key card quickly. Parking in town wasn’t as bad as I expected except if you look for a spot late at night
Excellent experience, we enjoyed so much the location as well as the amazing service in Captain Vasilis. And the room was so pretty! Definitely recommend
Highly recommend! The location was amazing.. short walk to everything, including the parking area outside of the old town. Great communication prior to our stay and met with a friendly face. Very affordable, extremely happy...
Very authentic small hotel inside the old town and on a quiet street. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. The owner Vasilis was friendly and kind Person. Breafkast made fresh every morning from local products. Restaurants and sandy beach on a walking distance. This place was a perfect base to explore Chania.
Excellent hotel run by the owner. He did everything and made our stay enjoyable, Vasilis provided great recommendations for where to visit and eat. But one standout is just how beautiful the hotel is and where it is located. You are front and center over the water and staying in the hotel takes you back in time. Living in old town is where you want to be and this is the best hotel to do that. Everything...

The location was excellent, in the heart of old town -- very closed to the shops and restaurants. Our room was in the back of the building so it was quiet. The room was very comfortable and clean. Staff was very friendly.
Staff, location, and facilities provided were all excellent. The bed was also incredibly comfortable . Would recommend staying here if looking for a short break in Chania.
Lovely place in superb location
Nice place to stay in the old town of Chania. Be aware that the reception is located in 200m from the hotel (in their second hotel, they basically have one reception for two places)
Very nice decoration with all comforts but too small rooms
Budget hotel in the elia hotel family. Very good value for the money. A largish room, clean, great bed, air conditioning, fridge, and all the toiletries a good hotel provides (dental, shaving, shower kits). Well lighted with lots of spare power sockets for your charging needs. Breakfast not included. Highly recommended!

The hotel is in a very good area. Room was ver clean with every day housekeeping. On the other hand shower cabin without door and the water splashing out, wardrobe very small with just 4 hangers, no light in the bathroom ( just small mirror light) , coffee maker without coffee provided, balcony quite small .
Nice room with really cold floor but really hot water. Great location, make sure pay attention for check in details, or you’ll end up wandering around in circles looking for entrance and reception. Noise from street will disturb a light sleeper, but comfortable bed will compensate.
If you have a car and traveling with luggage, this hotel is not for you. Finding a parking is very hard. The hotel advertised "free off-site parking" is a lie. They are referring to the city public parking. I recommend ******* to have them change that. We wouldn't booked that hotel knowing that. Our room had a wood seeling. Very noisy. One plus for the hotel is its location.
We had a rom at the ground floor. We heard every step and everything from the room over us on the next floor. Not much sleep ...
The accommodation was perfect! Very close to the central bus station for cheap trips to the beach if desired. My accommodation was right at the old city’s centre and it was lovely. A bit noisy at night as there are singers that perform on the streets but that stops around 11 pm. The hotel staff were always present and very accommodating and nice. Would highly recommend!
Will Definitely Stay Again The staff were all very friendly and plenty of them speak English. The condition of the room was fanatic! Even though the building is very old, since it’s located in the center of “Old Town Chania”, inside you’d swear you’re in a newly built luxury hotel. Very centrally located for walking everywhere!

Noisy — couldn’t sleep! Overall the place was nice with a balcony facing the square by the harbor. However, there was loud music from the bar in the square every night and even after the music stopped the noise from the bar was loud. We didn’t sleep for 3 nights and left one night early. Also note that there is no staff onsite ever — this is more like a home rental without amenities than a hotel. ...
Exquisite hotel in the centre of the old town and port in the beautiful town of Chania. Very comfortable, light airy rooms and beautifully decorated with every attention to detail. Good helpful staff. No need to look elsewhere. Perfect for couples or small family.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend it to anyone staying close to Old Chania.
Beautiful property and very convenient location to Old Town. The one downside is parking. I read somewhere that the property had parking, but it turned out to not have any. We were lucky enough to find parking nearby when we arrived, but then we didn't want to drive anywhere after that for fear of losing our parking spot. Otherwise, everything with this hotel was great!
The room itself was stunning in design and function. Lovely oasis in the heart of Chania! My only issue was finding the place. For some reason my maps app didn’t like the link sent and I do better with Apple Maps. The kitchenette had everything you need to make a light meal. The room was spacious and very clean. The room had AC which was surprising! Excellent location for exploring Chania. The rooftop terrace was a wonderful oasis to enjoy a glass of wine and unwind. I would stay again without hesitation.

Gorgeous boutique hotel that offers a bit of Cretan history and stunning views. The hosts and staff are very accommodating, and can help book taxis or one-day trips. The room had both a fan and air conditioning (convenient considering the summer temps), room service and cleaning was very thorough.

Great little hotel comfortable and clean. Some rooms offer a glimpse of the harbour from their balconies which is a lovely way to start the day. As is breakfast prepared by the lovely "Debbie". Not much noise given the brilliant location and the lift is a bonus. Staff are fabulous.
We had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Duca. It's a lovely intimate boutique hotel in a fantastic location in the beautiful Old Town, just behind the harbour. This stay was worth the money. Because of delays in travel we got there almost check in closing time. Alexander was nice enough to wait for us. He was very attentive and made sure our stay went well. He even helped us with parking. Great location as it is just 5 min walk to the harbor with restaurants and shops. If we plan to go back we’ll definitely stay here again.
Best location in Chania! We could walk to city center in minutes. Alex, the manager, loaned me a Hulu g pole to do Samaria Gorge - much appreciated!
