Lovely small hotell with great staff and an unbeatable beachfront location highly recommend
Lovley location on the beach and very friendly. Great value 😍
Very friendly reception staff, comfy bef
Stayed only one night, it was a very nice and comfortable stay
Very Good This place was had one of the best beach views i ever seen, its easy for walking around and explore resturants. Its avery cozy enviroment. Food is great and so are the prices for food and drinks. The hotel did not have a kettel in the rooms or even tea or coffe in the rooms, Bathroom was good. Bed was ok but should have a little bigger madress. Staff working there wer very kind and service...
During my recent stay at Hotel Danaos, I was charmed by its perfect beachfront location—just steps from Nea Chora Beach, and within a leisurely 15‑minute walk along the sea to Chania’s historic Venetian harbour and downtown . The stunning sea views from the balconies were the ideal backdrop to sip morning coffee or unwind at sunset. The hotel offers great value for money with clean, well‑equipped...

The hotel is located on a hill, so we had views of both the sea and the snowy mountains from our balcony. We were very warmly welcomed :) Both the room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. A delicious buffet breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant were served. There's plenty of parking at the hotel. We were focused on sightseeing, so we didn't use the pool or loungers. Thank...
I really recommend this hotel. It is way more than 2-star hotel. Room was convenient, clean, with a great view, tv, fridge. Close to several beaches. All stuff was nice and helpful. The restaurant was delicious
Great hotel, very clean and friendly staff. The only problem is you have to walk up a hill to reach the hotel. We booked transfers with Love holidays so not sure of transfer company. We were dropped late at night with luggage in the dark and told to walk up, same on pick up to airport.Would not recommend for elderly or disabled as steps to reception. You can get a taxi for 10 euro to the Venetian harbour...
The hotel is located at the top of a hill with wonderful views of the ocean, beaches, Chania and the mountains. It is quiet and not too big so the service felt very personal. The beach is a quick walk downhill and - in the case of the Golden Beach - very shallow and safe. Our room was well appointed and the bed comfortable. We greatly enjoyed the balcony, too. An extra bed for our kid was provided...
The hotel is very clean, staff is friendly and the view is nice, we had partial seaview. The restaurant is very good, highly recommend vegetarian moussaka and prawns. We enjoy walking, thus the location was perfect, for us everything was easily accessible even without car.
I spent 4 nights here at start and end of my holiday and enjoyed my stay. Friendly, welcoming staff. My rooms were good, spacious, very clean, very comfortable king size bed with firm mattress. With outside balcony. Very quiet except for the occasional late night noise from (inconsiderate) guests returning and banging doors. Excellent buffet breakfast, all you can eat. It is a good location if you...

Chania Town, Regional Road Kissamou Chanion (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
We had a really good time there. The staff is amazing, they helped us in a deli ate situation. The location is good, close to a beautiful beach, good restaurants and they have a market right infront.
The positive side is that the staff here are fantastic. Both the bar and pool staff, the reception, and the housekeeping team were all so kind to us. The food in the restaurant is also excellent. The negative side is that the rooms are very old and in need of renovation. You might be unlucky and get a wall right outside your balcony, which blocks most, if not all, of your view. You also have to pay...
Porto Kalamaki is a place we return to with our family with great joy and once again this year it was absolutely wonderful. This was another stay for us and once again we had a fantastic time full of sunshine, laughter and that true Greek atmosphere. The hotel is cozy and well-maintained with a perfect location but it’s the people who create the real magic here. The staff is incredibly warm and helpful...
We just came back from a lovely holiday at Porto Kalamaki hotel. The hotel staff are very welcoming and the hotel is really clean and a pleasant place to stay. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage girls and we all enjoyed our stay. The Greek themed night at the hotel was brilliant. The reasons why i gave the room 4 star was because the sofa beds were extremely firm and uncomfortable (we always find...
I come in this hotel every year. It’s an exceptional hotel starting from the cleaning lady, the girls in the reception, the food, the evening events, the swimming pool and the director of the hotel who makes sure we are all happy. I know Chania quite well and I can sincerely recommend Porto Kalamaki hotel. I see the same employees for years : this shows that they are happy and they do their best to...
Imagine yourself spending your vacations without leaving your place...that's what Porto Kalamaki offers you, go there and feel at home, the only difference is you don't need to worry about a thing. Each one of their professionals will take care of you, from the room service to the pool, passing through the amazing kitchen and bar service, all is immaculate and humble. Also, a big shout out to Stelios...

Awesome and best location with harbour view from the room. We stayed there for two nights in sea facing room. Room size is small but bed is comfortable. Hotel staff is nice and friendly, allowed us to keep bags after checkout. Best place to experience chania old town.
We have a balcony room with stunning views of the Venetian harbour. While the room and the bathroom are small, they are very clean and functional. The bed is very comfortable and with the doors open at night, the sound of the waves lapping in the harbour create a great ambiance. The staff are very helpful. A simple breakfast is available at €12 if you want it. We thoroughly recommend Lucia Hotel for...
Wow. This was a great stop. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms, and the view is heavily underrated of the port. We had a centrally located room overlooking the port. Each morning I could watch the sunrise, drink my tea and stretch and exercise in the peace and quiet. Great place to people watch. I felt like royalty from my balcony seeing most of the people walking by looking up at me and smiling...
You get what you pay for. The hotel is quite old-fashioned, and that shows in the rooms and overall decor. The room was outdated, the balcony was very small, and the bathroom was also quite cramped. Noise was an issue — you could easily hear people in the hallways and other rooms. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful, which made a difference. Breakfast was okay — nothing fancy, but it...
Budget hotel right in the middle of old town. Surrounded by restaurants and bars. Amazing view and close to public transit and parking. Staff was very helpful. Anyone that comes to Chania pretty much comes to hangout in the old town so it was very convenient to just be in the centre of all. I regret not staying here longer, 2 nights was not enough. Also felt very safe as a solo woman traveller.
Great location, nice staff - they were pleasant but not always overly helpful with suggestions of restaurants, etc. Clean and serviced regularly. With windows closed and AC on it actually kept a fair amount of the bust Chania town noises out, BUT I did find that I heard a fair amount of the interior noises (doors, locks, voices, etc) Good value, breakfast was decent enough, fantastic location, small...

Absolutely incredible!! The breakfast was top notch, the views, the hospitality. They even give you a bottle of wine when you check in for your room. They gave me a sandwich and local honey for my road trip and offered so much kindness, smiles, and love!
We absolutely loved our stay here! Lena was so genuinely happy to help with suggestions and tips each day. The room was spacious, the breakfasts were delicious and the view was stunning.
It is so a lovely place and Lena is so amazing. Heartly welcome, beautyful rooms with a personal view of Details. We will come back if we can. Thanks a lot
We really enjoyed our stay at Akrotiri - it’s clean, comfortable, breakfast was very good but the real star is the hostess Lena - so kind, generous and considerate.
Great location, very friendly and helpful host.Breakfast was delicious too. I will definitely come back!
Lena and Ilias gave the most warm welcome! The hotel was so quaint and beautiful views. So close to the old town and very amazing breakfast! Definitely would recommend for anyone but especially first timers they gave us so much insight on the island and even gave us a ride from the airport and to a beach club:)

Lovely property, comfortable beds and wonderful breakfast! Wish we stayed longer.
We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at this lovely hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our experience feel special and personalized. This is a truly guest-friendly establishment, beautiful and very well located. Close to Chania and the beaches, quiet. The staff are extremely attentive and caring. Ideal for a family or couple. We'll be back in a heartbeat.
We had such an incredible stay. Our room was beautiful and so comfortable for six people. The area was also incredible and had everything nearby from beaches to shopping. The host Christina was amazing and always available for recommendations or assistance. We will absolutely be visiting this hotel in the future. Thank you
Great owner! Very accommodating. Rooms were large and clean. Location was perfect

This property was perfectly located in old Chenia town, close to the harbor. The staff were very friendly. Elizabeth with the breakfast buffet, was especially warm and helpful with travel tips and suggestions. Thank you so much! As you made our stay very comfortable!!
Fantastic staff, lovely suite with beautiful sea views and a fabulous whirlpool bath. Couldn’t have asked for anything better! Hope to come again!
I recommend the elia palatino hotel. Great location in the centre, great room and friendly service.
Amazing Location & Great Value We really enjoyed our stay in the suite at Elia Palatino. Reception is in a sister hotel a couple doors down and it is staffed 24 hours which was great. We were able to safely store our luggage until our room was ready, and we could pop in at any point to ask questions or get help with anything. The room itself was nicely appointed and the balcony views of the harbor...
Absolutely beautiful hotel in the most ideal location for a first time traveler like myself. All of the staff were very nice and helpful throughout my stay! I had a one bedroom king suite (3rd floor, so yes there are some stairs!) with a private balcony overlooking the harbor. Absolutely stunning views! The town itself is very walkable and the Elia sits from and center directly on the Chania Harbor...
Beautifully appointed room, only complaint was location of toilet behind the bathroom door, not ideal for a large person. Aratee’s recommendation for Tamara restaurant was great. Breakfast was fantastic 🍳🍳🍳🍊🍇🍓🍎🍌 Thank you for most enjoyable 2 nights

Simple hotel, the price was fair. Room with A/C and daily cleaning. Easy to access. Opposite is also a good car rental, next block a mini market and two block away is the main road (beach) with cafe snaks gyros breakfast. Car is recommended in the island
I don't want to give this place a great review because I want to keep it to myself....but it deserves nothing but the honest truth. From the minute we arrived to the absolute last minute we had left this place and everyone who works there were amazing to us. We had the basement room which was nice and cooling, had everything we needed and more, comfortable beds to sleep on and the location was perfect...
Great location, close to the beach, close to the shop with the most necessary articles, restaurants nearby where you can eat local meals, not for millions, close to the bus stop to the center of Chania, close to the pharmacy and on foot you can go to other beaches and Lidl as it is need. The hotel is kindly staffed, it is not big, the rooms are sufficient for mine, they are practically cleaned every...
A very friendly hotel. Clean rooms with a balcony. Very nice service. The rooms are cleaned daily. The hotel offers a free parasol for one room, and mattresses for swimming. Very close to the beach and in the vicinity of 100 meters all the necessary shops and pubs. In a similar distance there is a bus stop from which buses to Chania leave every now and then. The trip to Chania takes a maximum of 2...
Great complex not far from the beach and Chania. The rooms were clean and it was cleaned thoroughly every day. The French-speaking hostess is really super nice, but communication is a bit difficult if you don't speak French or Greek. From the hotel we give 5 stars. And for the location 4 stars as it is right on a fairly noisy street but it didn't bother us that much. The breakfast are also 4 stars...
We were supposed to stop here for two nights. We had chosen this place for its strategic location as it would be the last stop before returning home from Chania airport. It's a pity that: 1. It is located in a very chaotic part of Chania, noisy and with little possibility to find parking 2. We had booked a basement accommodation and, as soon as we entered, we realized its limitations (damp and with...

If I could put even more stars I defiantly would. I booked an other Airbnb in Chania with my girlfriend, after we arrived the owner still hadn’t send us any information on how to get in and wasn’t answering any phone calls or messages. It was about 1-2am and we had nowhere to go. Thankfully we found this hotel. Christos, the receptionist there was super helpful and found us a room immediately in a...
This was a great stay and a great value. While it’s an older hotel, it is very well cared for and the staff could not be more welcoming. It’s very clean and comfortable and the location is the best to see all of Chania. It’s also not difficult to find parking nearby.
This place is the absolute bomb. The rooms themselves are by no means extravagant, if fact they are a tad dingy. (Very clean just old). HOWEVER, that is completely made up by the fact that the staff is incredible. The manager welcomed us when we showed up unannounced just after midnight (our car rental was screwed up and we were stranded in Chania). Room was absolutely acceptable for the price, AC...
Booked this hotel due to a delayed flight until the next day and wanted a double and a twin comfortable room for an unexpected overnight stay. Price was very good but was more interested in being close to Chania front which is was. The owners were very welcoming when we arrived and the rooms were comfortable. After going out to dinner we returned and the owners offered us Raki which we had to turn...
We found this hotel by chance and couldn’t have been happier. We felt welcome the minute we walked in. Outstanding hospitality. The owner offered great tips for local restaurants and for what to explore in the region. The hotel was clean and quiet, and a great location. Highly recommend for a home base to explore Chania.
It is a small hotel that provides a convenient place to stay in Chania.

We had a beautiful room with jacuzzi inside. It was very atmospheric and romantic. Personnel is very friendly and I will definitely come here again.
room great but unfortunately the owner is a disaster. We got keys to a room that was in a different location. The owner did not answer the phone. Complete failure. I do not recommend
So this is a mixed bag. The room itself is lovely. The bed was comfortable, & the bathroom had toiletries for us. BUT the noise of people sneezing outside the room in the walkway below can get heard like they are in your room. Dogs, cars, casual conversations. It's all there for you. Bells seemed to start at 7 am. Bless you if you can sleep through them entirely. The reason the service gets a 1, is...
Beautiful place Our room /luxury apartment is brilliant we have two showers two toilets two wash basins and a separate jacuzzi amazing facilities and friendly staff, Breakfast is great and they can’t do enough for us , Highly recommended . Although reception is about 2-3 minutes walk it does not matter , The smiling faces are great
A Must Go, Perfect! Wonderful Place and Staff!
Very good option in Chania. Excellent location close to everything on a very quiet street. Very comfortable beds, very good shower. Excellent hydromassage in the room. Very good varied and very rich breakfast. Extremely friendly staff. In short, a very good quality-price ratio. 100% recommended

This place is autentisk, with a lot off background history from the 1600. We stayed in the old hotel room. And i loved it, big room and toilet/bathroom for very cheep price. 👍 They have build new apartments to at the hotel There is a nice pool also for small children.. The breakfast was great, all you can eat and fresh orange juice they make themselvses.. Very nice staff, true and friendly..
Great pool that is open to anyone as long as you buy some drinks and or food. Perfect for all ages.
For a 2 star hotel I am very satisfied. The breakfastbis 8-10am and isn't something super fancy but you do have quite a few choices. If you intend to do some sightseeing it is a great homebase and the hotel by itself is very quiet and it feels like you in nature. The pool is good and prices are reasonable(4 euros for coffee 10 for pizza) The rooms are cleaned every day there is AC obviously and the...
Simply the best! The family operated guesthouse, is that. You’re a guest and they offer the best of Cretan hospitality. They make you feel like family. It is just far enough out of the hustle and bustle of chania, yet only about a 5-6 minute drive into town. The orange groves, pool and pool bar area is perfect. We have visited and stayed numerous times.
10min drive from Chania, quite and relaxing place, lovely pool with a bar, great breakfast (don't miss the yogurt with honey!), our room was the cheapest I could find so nothing fancy but had everything you need and was very clean! The staff are the friendliest, sweetest people I've met! Would definitely be back!
