The staff were ever so friendly, the rooms cleans and spacious, amazing views, the breakfast filling and tasty, the evening food brilliant and having a large pool and the free shuttle to town made us feel like we had the best of everything

Very nice hotel, clean, with big rooms. Room service is great, every day they refill our coffees. We can ask them to refill our water containers, thus saving plastic bottles. The staff is amazing, always smiling and nice

The free hotel shuttle is very convenient (just coordinate the time with the host). The property also features a nice outdoor pool and a useful self-service laundry, free except for detergent capsules

It has a huge pool overooking Chania town and a nice gym. We couldn't use the pool, as it was winter, but the gym we liked a lot

Modern hotel with clean rooms and well-maintained bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent, offering panoramic views of Chania from the dining area. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a non-alcoholic drink

Our stay at Royal Sun was wonderful. We enjoyed very comfortable rooms, nice pool area, excellent breakfast and dinner in Michelin-class restaurant The Hill with an amazing view over Chania city

The rooms need updating to a degree but are clean and have the facilities you would expect. A refresh would take the hotel to a next level. The staff were all very nice and efficient

You absolutely must book this hotel for the unforgettable panorama and the exceptionally friendly staff, who truly go above and beyond to make your stay fantastic! We stayed in a Panorama Blue room, which also gave us access to the bar and the second swimming pool

The hotel had a lovely relaxed feel to it and meal times were all the better for this. The food was of a high quality and varied through the week we stayed. The quality and variety of meat dishes in particular was noted

The restaurant gentleman remembered that we were a table of five, from the first evening we arrived and also that we were all together when we had gone down separately. That personal touch was amazing and appreciated

The hotel is in a very scenic location, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The number 21 bus calls directly at the hotel to take you to Chania. The service is regular and good value

We traveled in October, so it was relatively quiet. The breakfast was excellent, and dinner was buffet-style. Not everything was perfect, but there was plenty of choice

Very good city location by walking distance to the Port, Bazaar (Central) and short driving distance to the Hanya Beaches. Excellent and very warm hospitality! Good room with good-brand almost new furnished bathroom

Our room was cleaned everyday and towels changed, I have never seen such a clean hotel

The Greek are very lovely people who appreciate you being there, which is so nice! The pool was nice and cold which is perfect for the hot weather, and again very clean

Free aircon which I don’t see very often, hairdryer, tv and remote free. There aren’t many Sunbeds so just make sure you go there before 11 if you want to lay by the pool

Very expensive for what you get, rooms are adequate at best, pool is small, surrounding area to pool is tight, breakfast was good however. Location is OK, 10-15 mins into old town harbour.

Had dinner both nights at the restaurant and can’t fault the food, my chef partner loved everything on the menu. Staff were so attentive and lovely

Good location if you’re looking for somewhere slightly out of town, a little quieter. Only a 20ish minute walk into old town

Chania, Crete Loved The Tanneries Spa and Resort. Amazing room, jacuzzi, steam shower, complimentary sparkling wine, complimentary breakfast…so many positives that it’s hard to list them all

Incredible experience in this lovely hotel in Chania. Everything was perfect, from the service to the restaurant.

Our stay at The Tanneries was exceptional. The property is gorgeous and modern yet fitting the historical surroundings, the rooms are also very modern and lovely with immediate proximity/ views to the water

Guest rooms were clean and exactly what they promised, the pool side breakfast and pool area was wonderful and quiet. The meeting space was perfect and the location was so convenient, we could walk everywhere

Because two people couldn't pass. Our balcony only had enough room for a single chair. Lobby is nice spacious with a full bar. The breakfast is ample with hot and cold choices, and you can eat poolside

I had a wonderful stay here! The location is perfect- you can walk to many areas, and I only needed a taxi to and from the airport. The rooms were impressively quiet; I never heard my neighbors once

Every time my husband and I came downstairs, one of them would greet us with a warm smile and friendly conversation. They recommended the best restaurants in town and made us feel instantly at home

The location is very convenient, it took us about 30 minutes, leisurely walk, to get to the Old Venetian Port, were you'll find lots of restaurants and shops. A couple of small supermarkets are just a block away

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. I stayed for 4 nights, with the last night in the suite. The rooms were spacious, well-equipped, and kept spotless thanks to frequent cleaning

I also enjoyed the spa — the Swedish massage I tried was incredibly relaxing. The hotel’s location is excellent, close to everything, making it easy to explore the area

The Hotel Porto Veneziano is by far one of the best locations for Chania. The view from our 3rd floor balcony was amazing. Perfect for a glass of wine and the view in the evening

It is easy walking distance to interesting areas of this beautiful town. The staff goes over and above to please the visitors. Friendly bar tender and the included breakfast was delicious

And the onsite restaurant offers some of the best homemade dolmades we’ve ever had. Next time we will try the made-to-order galaktobouriko. An added bonus is their onsite parking. I highly recommend this hotel

When it came to parking the valet service was amazing. again our team's hours were out of the ordinary and well outside of the staff's hours. When the team lead explained, again, the staff accommodated our needs

Budget hotel in the elia hotel family. Very good value for the money. A largish room, clean, great bed, air conditioning, fridge, and all the toiletries a good hotel provides (dental, shaving, shower kits)

Nice place to stay in the old town of Chania. Be aware that the reception is located in 200m from the hotel (in their second hotel, they basically have one reception for two places)

The location was excellent, in the heart of old town -- very closed to the shops and restaurants. Our room was in the back of the building so it was quiet. The room was very comfortable and clean

A bit noisy at night as there are singers that perform on the streets but that stops around 11 pm. The hotel staff were always present and very accommodating and nice

On the other hand shower cabin without door and the water splashing out, wardrobe very small with just 4 hangers, no light in the bathroom ( just small mirror light) , coffee maker without coffee provided, balcony quite small

Unbelievable location, right price for what it provides, clean atmosphere and super big apartment for family We stayed 6 nights and everything was perfect!!! Whenever I come to Chania I will first look to find a room here 1 minute from the port on foot

The pool was great! It was queit far from the centrum but the bus stop was across the road which was great! The breakfest was better than we expected.

The Pool 👙 is very clean and big. There are lots of cats around 😺🐈 so just a precaution to those allergic with cats. My little girl have mild allergy with cats and dogs but she had no problem at all here

One note, you will not be able to park a car closer than maybe 6 or 7 blocks from this hotel. Pack an easy to carry bag with what you need for your stay. Leave the rest of your luggage in your car (if you have one)

No words can describe the hospitality of the owner, Eleutheria. The hotel was absolutely spotless, right in the middle of the old town with restaurants, shops and everything in between

This hotel only has 7 rooms and Eleutheria and the ladies who prestar this hotel were amazing! Be advised that there is no parking around this hotel as it's in the pedestrian district of Old Town Chania so do your research about parking beforehand! Also, there is no elevator so I would advise not taking a large suitcase (as I did)

The room was lovely with a small refrigerator and kettle for boiling water. The area is closed to cars. Finding parking was somewhat challenging. Staff is wonderful! Kind, friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean

The rooms are vintage in a delightfully comfortable way. Breakfast is customized each day to your preferences and a delicious array of choices are available. The only slight downside is the pool garden

While the pool is large and dreamy, it does attract swarms of mosquitoes (the only ones we encountered during two weeks exploring Crete). All in all a wonderful property that you should not hesitate booking

Exceptional Villa with the most amazing view! The rooms are spacious and very clean! The Villa keeps the traditional style and is well kept. The outdoor pool and garden are great with plenty of shade

The staff are exceptionally welcoming and friendly ; the ladies that keep the house clean and serve our breakfast are the heart and soul of the villa! The breakfast includes homemade jams and Cretan traditional food that was delicious

Some of the problems other reviews mentioned didn’t occur for us: even though our room faced the busy alleyway, we never heard much noise in the night and we personally had no issues with the reception staff as they were almost always there and willing to offer advice, recommendations, or assistance at a moment’s notice

We had a great time staying at this hotel during our honeymoon. Antonis was so helpful in arranging daily transfers around Chania. The location is excellent as so many shops and restaurants are in walking distance

The only thing that didn’t rate outstanding to me was the comfort of the sheets, they were rougher than I prefer

With windows closed and AC on it actually kept a fair amount of the bust Chania town noises out, BUT I did find that I heard a fair amount of the interior noises (doors, locks, voices, etc) Good value, breakfast was decent enough, fantastic location, small bathroom
