We spent a relaxed and enjoyable week at golden bay hotel . We you want a relaxing break we recommend it . We will be back !!!

Excellent location, close to the beach and the night life

Clean and spacious rooms with decent bed (not the most comfy lounges for those with kids needing to sleep there but ok)

The staff are lovely and hospitable, the restaurant staff in particular are friendly and welcoming. Lots of parking so easy with a rental

The walk to the beach is also something to be happy about, because is just few minutes away and the beach is clean with beautiful sea

It was pretty cool to step outside of my room, either through my front door, or from the corner of my deck, and see the Mediterranean Sea

We stayed as a group of 14 for 11 nights at Villa Mare Monte, which is about a 15-minute walk to the old town and set in the hills with beautiful views of both the mountains and the sea

The pool and bar areas are spotless and again, very peaceful and relaxing, we also enjoyed the crazy golf! Great stay and would definitely return

Absolutely amazing stay, we were a girl group of 3 and were made to feel so welcome and safe! Nothing was ever a bother and you could have a laugh with the staff and other guests here

The hardworking maids seemed to be busy all day, with towels changed every few days and beach towels also provided. We all had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Villa Mare Monte

The manager was always approachable and helpfully pointed us to a local supermarket that delivers groceries straight to your door—a bonus as I wouldn’t have fancied the uphill walk back with shopping bags! The hotel itself is spotless

Food was fresh and based on Greek dishes every night. Another bonus was that there is no sun-bed reserving and you were always able to find a sun-bed. Would definitely come back here again, 10/10

The pool is lovely and inviting with plenty of sunbeds on the terrace along with a pool table in the dining area at the rear of the bar

This is a little gem, perfect location for old and new Malia, near plenty of tavernas, supermarkets and shops. Staff are amazing, helpful and made us feel at home. Rooms spacious and clean, pool lovely

Bar/Swimming pool nice and chill. Cristina is a lovely person who works behind the bar during the day!!! She’s so sweet. Thank you everyone , we hope to see you again when we return to Crete

What can I say? Fabulous family holiday!! Wonderful family run apartments. We stayed in the old block close to the pool and bar and our 2 apartments were spacious and with everything we needed

The family run apartments are small but perfect for what we needed, they have a great knowledge of the area and were so welcoming and made us feel a part of the family, I would recommend them to anyone that came this area

I would book this again in a heartbeat and recommend to friends and family

7 minutes easy stroll to a sandy beach, 10 mins easy stroll into town where you have “old malia” with the classic windy cobbled streets and tavernas or the “strip” with the nightclubs and bars on the other side of the town

We had a very good time! The appartment was in a good location, close to the strip, beaches and markets. The room was good and the cleaner came and clean it almost everyday! And it had a nice balcony with a good view

The welcome from the staff was a good sign to begin with, the rooms were also just as exquisite. The pool bar was the highlight of our stay, where we enjoyed sour coctails and the company from the bartender!

We visited just after the summer season as we had a baby with us and Maria was so kind and helpful, arranging a travel cot for us, and helping to spoil our little one rotten on her first ever holiday abroad

the staff were super nice and we got food and drinks whenever we wanted, and the pool was allways nice and clean. Will be visiting next year for sure 10/10 #Petrosspecial

Rooms are basic, but cleaned every other day, fresh sheets, towels, etc, and the pool area is absolutely ideal with more than enough sun loungers

the rooms could do with some tlc, but it is the end of the season. The communal patio areas are superb, very comfortable & the pool is stunning, so clean

Just returned from Daneli’s after a week stay with family. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. The accommodation and grounds were clean. My kids loved playing in the rear garden and pool

The pool - perfection, always near empty meaning you have the pool to yourself essentially, there is also a deep end of the pool to dive and that. Food - do not eat food in danelis the sausages are terrible

The food was good and reasonably priced. The location was good, close to shops and a 10 min walk from the beach. The best thing about Daneli’s was the staff

The pool area was kept clean and tidy and there was always plenty of sun loungers

Apartments are clean and spacious and being family run you are not just a room number! A huge thank you to the whole Danelis family for their wonderful hospitality. We will definitely return again

Mochos a gorgeous little village in the mountains is definitely a place to visit for a Cretan night. The beach which is a short walk is beautiful with clear turquoise water

If you are looking for a quiet holiday however, Malia would not be for you but if you have ear plugs it’s a fantastic place. It is definitely a party town but there are a lot of older visitors like us too in September

The old town, again a short walk is crammed with lovely family run restaurants. Please visit the Mexican restaurant too where you will find “Spartacus” outside. The food is amazing and staff very friendly

The only downside has been a couple of other guests that I wish we had avoided but everything else has been outstanding

All in all it has been a wonderful holiday and I would put that down to Niko ( you are the best) and everyone else

I have been to this hotel before and I gave it 4stars. However, this time I would definitely give it about 3⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ignore all the other reviews Our stay at Litsa was perfect. It was a few minute walk to Old Town and 10 min ish to midtown where night life is. The rooms were comfortable and fulfilled basic needs

I had a wonderful stay at Litsa Studios, the owners were extremely nice and everything was perfect!

Perfect location in Malia… private ground floor apartment with separate kitchen and balcony on the main strip. This beach is a 5min walk. Too good for the price!

Good, clean hotel. Excellent location. When I read reviews about this hotel I was afraid to book it. But everything turned out well! I was happy with everything.

They are a big family and with them you feel at home! Congratulations also to the kitchen staff, the food is very tasty and good! (Also the pizza really nice and I am Italian girl) I highly recommend this place, you will never regret it!!!

Fabulous service, we had lovely freshly cooked pizza cooked to perfection and James even made us a delicious cocktail on the house! Wonderful family run business and we can’t wait to go back! :)

Very nice seat reservation, a quiet pool, a great place and well-organized interior. Behind the wall there is a bar / club so you care what you care about. We got a room on the other side of the building and it was great

The rooms are perfect (like in the pictures), the staff is super friendly and the location is also nice. No noise from the main street when door is closed. Good parking spot provided by owner and a nice pool.

The residence is really beautiful, and the owners are really kind and helpful if you're looking for good food, awesome beaches and roads in Crete. Suggested starting from the end of August till October

We stayed here for two weeks from May going into June and it was very quiet. The bar was shut all day long and the pool was deserted not sure if that is because of the time of year

We didn’t use the pool or any other facilities. The location was good for us: On a quieter street and a quick (7-10m) walk to the beach bars. The hosts were definitely much less friendly than a typical host in Greece

This was our second visit to this hidden little gem & like the first time, it didn’t disappoint. We again stayed in the villas with our own private pool

So peaceful & relaxing whilst only being a short walk to the main strip & beach, perfect location. Very clean & comfortable, thank you to Marina & family for making our holiday amazing again

Stayed 7 nights at one of the villas and it was the perfect holiday! The room was clean and maid service was on a daily basis! This family owned resort has 4 villas with it's own pool and also a main building with very spacious rooms and there is also a huge public pool
