Nice comfortable hotel, great room, live in two-storey bungalows closer to the hotel. Near the sea, beds are all missing, and the food is very very tasty

We stayed at this hotel in the penultimate week of the season so had the benefit of great weather at a quieter time

We loved the beach which is just at the back of our hotel. No complaints other than there was no evening entertainment but I am guessing it was because we went end of season

Hey we had a great time. My daughter has coeliac disease. So gluten free. The chefs and catering staff did so much fir her. Everyday they made her fresh food. I will come back next year. I miss so much. Cold here.

Swimming in the sea is better to go to Potamos, there is a great beach with sand with a nice sunset

Honestly the most beautiful and friendlist hotel i have ever been to. We arrived late in the evening not expecting to be able to eat anything but the restaurant had left us a meal with bread and fruit plate

By the end of day one we were planning our next visit! Travelling with Crohn’s disease isn’t always easy, but Giannis and his staff were so incredibly helpful with food selections that they made our stay so very simple

The sea is shallow, you can reach the bottom almost to the buoys. Most of the time there are waves because of the constant wind, which are kind of fun

The room was a bit small, no coffee service in the room. Booked the Superior Bungalow Sea View - we were pretty far back from the ocean

We loved our stay, the hotel is very quiet, the location is perfect. You can admire the sunset while you eat. The staff is very nice, especially the restaurant's chef ! I highly recommand !

The only disadvantage for us was that the beach,( which is really close and you can go in your swim suit and where you have a reserves seat ) is very narrow and crowded with chairs which don't leave the space to feel the sea or even to walk on the beach

All the resort is beautifully designed and taken care off and very very clean. The resort has 5 pools, usually empty of people in the water but with people on the sunbeds around them

After two days, they give us a gift upgrade to the suite with own swimming pool. Also, the hotel is near the beach and pleasure beach. The entertainment in the evening was also nice

We stayed at this hotel for a week and everything was great. The room was cleaned daily, the food was good, and the location was fantastic, right by the sea

The absolute top thing about this hotel is the beachfront location (deluxe room felt like we're almost on the sea) and the actual area that is taken care off and kept clean exceptionally.

Watch out for two great guys who work there, Armando who does the sun loungers and Tonin one of the waiters really nice guy both have work here for a good few years now always lovely to see them

Stayed here twice bit pricey but well worth it, has a fantastic swimming pool and has easy access to the beach, also has sunbeds to hire

Very nice hotel with feiendly stuff, great beach and always fresh food. Perfect for older people. Calm place.

There is someone at the front desk 24/7, which made us feel safe. The gardens were full of flowers and trees — a small paradise. The pool was crystal clear, with an incredible pool bar

It was one of the best 10-day vacations we've ever had with my partner. The rooms were beautiful, the housekeeping staff came in every day, and everything was spotless

Breakfast had plenty of options, the coffee was excellent, and the service from the girls working there was amazing. They had an answer to all our questions and helped us a lot

Overall, all the rooms do need a little renovation, especially the bathrooms however, considering the prices, this hotel is good value for money and I recommend it. Mostly clean, with very few spots, dust, etc

Luckily, the staff was very friendly and helpful (family-run) and they moved us to another room, overlooking the pool. It was much better - modern beds and no noise at all

The hotel has a very nice pool area (2), excellent buffet style dining with food to suit all tastes and the seafront is a short walk (5mins) from the hotel

We spent 5 nights here and didn't want to leave! The staff are so lovely and accommodating. The drinks and food are always available and are lovely. The cleaners always do an amazing job and are super friendly

Excellent place to spend with family. There are some snacks and a lot of drinks on the bar. Every Monday the are organizing Greece life music. There is a nice Potamos beach, but need to drive about 5 min or walk 20 min

The hotel itself is beautiful, pools are well maintained and there are plenty of sunbeds. Cannot fault this place it's been perfect. The beach is just down the road and so is the Malia strip if that's your scene

The furnishings are modern and very clean. There are loungers available for each room on the beach. The two restaurants are well run and the food is delicious and varied

He let us stay in our room on our last day, even though the hotel had officially closed for the season. It was an 8hr wait from check out to our transfer to the airport

The staff at the hotel are amazing. Linzi was very helpful with advise of the area. Aris, the chef, obviously is very passionate about cooking. Everything was made fresh to order and the portion sizes were huge

Every morning George or Eleni knew what drinks we liked with our breakfast and after a day or two, our drinks were prepared for us without us asking. Yannis, the manager, was always friendly and helpful

It has the best of both as it is in a quiet area but is only a 10min walk away from the main *****, where the nightlife is lively and there are a vast number of cafes, bars and restaurants

We were even invited to the staff Halloween party (we were the only guests left on this night). This hotel was extremely clean. The kitchen was open and we saw it constantly being cleaned between each meal being prepared

Our air conditioning was leaking on the balcony when we arrived and they came and fixed it as soon as we mentioned it. Always loungers by the pool, even after we'd been out somewhere else

The hotel is very nice and recommendable, not too big and a well-kept complex. The service is great, Maria Brazil and her colleagues are very friendly. A few minutes walk to the beach and the pool is fantastic too

There are no regular restaurants around the hotel that can meet the quality of food presented here! The employees are all so friendly and kind, giving you the best service and completing the whole holiday experience at the Kalypso hotel!!! We will return here again and can recommend it without any doubts…

The Kalypso in Malia - Crete is a little gem. The hotel is quietly located and the city center (party mile) can be reached in just a 15-minute walk

I would return without hesitation. In fact, having only been home for a day, I’m already looking forward to booking again next year

Great idea not to charge for air con as keeps the price low but there if you need it, makes perfect sense so you're not paying for something you might not need, especially out of season

I have never slept in such a comfortable bed when on holiday, with no aches and pains that I usually have when sleeping in a different bed. The rooms were cleaned every two days, with fresh bedding and towels

The atmosphere was so chilled and I had the best relaxing week! The old town which was 10 minutes walk away was absolutely beautiful, lots of restaurants to chose from away from the main *****

Back in September 2024, we stayed in this hotel for our lads holiday, and it was a lovely, relaxing and atmospheric experience. Firstly, everything was absolutely fantastic, the buffet breakfast was delicious

The location of the hotel is brilliant, everything was within walking distance, especially all the beaches, the Malia strip, there’s plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, there’s also plenty of places to book excursions in too

There are plenty of local buses which you can book with your excursions, depending on where you are going. We went off peak in September and it was relatively quiet and we enjoyed everything

Those Madeira cakes are to die for! The hotel was stunning and the overall design and layout was amazing. The room was very comfortable and the sizes of the room were brilliant

It is close to many amenities such as bars and clubs while also close to the older part of Malia where there are a number of restaurants serving local fare

I must point out that when you get dropped off at the church at the top of the road you have to walk about 5-10 minutes down the road as the roads to tight for the big busses

Had booked happy days for a break and after reading some of the reviews was wondering what I had done 😱 well I had booked a brilliant stay at a lovely hotel where the room was immaculate ,spotless , had everything you could need including booklet in several languages explaining the rules and other things about hotel

I came home early hours of this morning and I had the best time here. i was so relaxed and chilled here. The family will do anything to help you. i had a walk to the main beach,which took me 30 minutes walking

I can see why they ask everyone to be quiet on balcony's after 11pm as some people do go to bed early and want to sleep without being disturbed. It's in an ideal spot 10 minute stroll away from the *****

there is lots of shops on the way down and places to eat and drink. i got a taxi to potamos beach,which is beautiful. All in all I'd definitely go back

If you want to interact just go to bar, quiet time no problems, well looked after and the best thing I can say, looking forward going back there

Staff were lovely food amazing and cocktails 🍸 good and everything so cheap. 8euro for a pawnstar Martini 4 for large draft beer 🍺

It’s just a 3–5 minute walk to the beach, with a dedicated exit leading straight there, and even a shower next to that exit for rinsing off after swimming. Also, by that exit, there’s a children’s play area

I was pleasantly surprised by how close the shops were. As soon as you exit the hotel, there’s George’s Supermarket on the right-hand side, and on the left, a souvenir shop

Across the road, you’ll find another convenience store. Need a pharmacy? It’s just two right turns away – walk past George’s Supermarket, then turn right at the junction

For added convenience, you can rent vehicles (cars, ATVs, scooters, etc. ) right next to George’s Supermarket. The hotel also has its own parking area near the beach exit

The restaurant serves delicious food and suits everyone without costing too much. The bar area is very clean and has seating if you would like to have a conversation with the bartender

I stayed at Philoxenia Hotel with two family members for 12 nights in late September to mid-October, and to sum it up – it was excellent, from the area to the food

There are beach actvities (paragliding,banana, sofa rides etc plus jet ski), all at a cost, as these are all open to the public. We enjoyed the small, but well maintained pool area

There is a second pool for children, but not many used it, sadly. Board basis is bed and breakfast, but guests were forbidden from having their own food at the pool area, as there is a beach bar selling drinks and snacks

The hotel has extremely hard working staff who work tirelessly to try and make a good experience for guests, in a hotel with limited possibiities

There is a beach with loungers, but although part of the hotel, one is expected to pay 10€ each for the priviledge of enjoying them

I think this opens at night for business. The restaurant area is plain and unassuming and reasonably comfortable

Perfectly located to explore the old town’s traditional Tavernas but only a 10 minute walk to the craziness of ‘the *****’ if that’s what you want. Iro and Stavros lead a lovely team to look after all of your needs

Absolutely loved this hotel, room was basic, but clean, only paid 35 euros to stay a whole extra day as our flight wasn't untill 2am the next day. All the staff were happy, friendly. Will definitely come back

Clean, comfortable rooms with basic but adequate self catering facilities. A very nice pool area with plenty of padded sun beds and a choice of sun or shade. A bar with reasonably priced drinks and good food

Pitty you have to pay for the Wi-Fi in the room and the air-conditioning that did bump my spending money up a bit however, life is too short not to enjoy yourself as you can’t take the money with you

Bella Elena is just perfect! This was my second stay and it was the best holiday I've ever had. We stayed in one of the ground floor apartments, which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable

His daughter and son were also very friendly. Kostas was so friendly to and chatted to us every evening. Food was freshly prepared every day and was so tasty and healthy. I would highly recommend staying

What an amazing place to holiday. Manos Costa and all the staff are so friendly nothing is to much trouble. A lot of returning guests, you arrive not knowing anybody but leave as friends

Had a lovely holiday at the Real Palace. We were family with 2 teenage daughters aged 16 and 14. Pool was lovely nice size and warm. Manos was very welcoming when we arrived

This is a vibe hotel but the youngsters didn’t bother us as we were young once and did the same thing after exams

We visited for the day to use the sun loungers on the beach. Sun loungers were €12 for two plus parasol. Great quality loungers and luxurious thick and comfy mattresses. Quiet side of Malia beach and great spot

Didn’t stay at the apartments but used the cafe/bar and beach beds daily. Super comfy beds and great food with friendly staff. Thank you for the raki with honey which was delicious

I haven't stayed in a hotel but I've spent two very nice days on the beach. Sunbeds are for very reasonable price (normal 6€ per set, more comfy one 10€ per set)

This self catering hotel suited us perfectly as it had a great pool which was not busy and it was only a few steps down onto the sandy beach
