Krikonis Hotel in Ioannina

Clean room, although there was a lot of furniture packed in there. Mattress was a little worn down and soft, but it was comfortable and I slept well since it was a very quiet location. Close to the city center and getting to the sights of Ioannina was very easy. The small breakfast had nice offerings and was a nice way to start the day.

I have just recently returned from a two and a half week stay at Krikonis hotel. We had to travel from New Zealand to Ioannina as my father was in Corfu by himself and had been flown to the Ioannina University Hospital after a serious heart attack. I arrived solo and was scared being in a foreign country but am beyond grateful that I chose this hotel. Check in was fast and easy. The rooms were spacious with lovely balconies and had everything I could possibly require - very comfortable beds, great air conditioning and very quiet. The location was perfect, just a short and easy 5 minute taxi ride to lovely restaurants and shops in town or to the hospital and a large supermarket next door (plus other handy shops in walking distance). The pool area was great. The stand out of the place for us though is the staff - Chara, Angeliki and Costas were beyond kind - they went above and beyond, always willing to help us and made sure nothing was ever a problem. Forever grateful for their hospitality in their beautiful hotel!

Lovely hotel, excellent aircon (38/43°C!). Large quiet comfortable room with a huge balcony.

Nice rooms, although a bit old. The double rooms have a great big balcony.
The quadruple room is not huge but fits 4 kids (low ceiling as it's basically the attic floor).
Breakfast is simple but decent.
Pool is very nice addition, the kids loved it.
Receptionist (Georgina) is very very kind and attentive for any request.
Big supermarket (My Market) just next door so it's very convenient.

Great hotel, lovely pool, big breakfast buffet, very nice room with balcony. Good location, too!Short drive to the lake. Our car was in the shade. We ordered room service from the pool bar to our room. Nice! Our only suggestion is a need to update the shower.
