The woman that owns and runs Eleni Hotel in Kefalos with her daughter and son in law is a dragon. She was very rude to me and everything was too much trouble. The inclusive breakfast consisted of bread, a pat of butter and jam with a large tin of Nescafe plonked on the side with a sticky spoon stuck in it - terrible! On the 2nd day the owner presented me with a bill for €100 shouting that air conditioning was an extra €8 per night plus tax. The rooms were basic but clean however this woman,s behaviour ruined the holiday for me. I suggest you stay in any of the many other hotels in this area.

Lovely family run hotel. Owners are friendly and welcoming. Everywhere is spotless. the rooms are traditionally greek. 2 single beds together and TV and fridge in the room and we had free WiFi. Air conditioning for a extra cost I think 8 euro a night. Breakfast was served 8-10 , bread, ham, cheese, boiled egg, cereals, tea, coffee and orange juice. Enjoyed it every morning. Snack bar was fine plenty of choice of drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. Swimming pool was lovely and clean 5 mins walk to the beach. Remember to buy beach shoes because of the pebbles. Plenty of places that you can hire sunbeds some are free if you buy drinks and snacks from. Outside rainbow restaurant were 5 euro each and we bought lunch there to which was delicious and we had 2 evening meals Supermarket 1 min walk away We booked the 3 island cruise boat trip with JD tours that was brilliant

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an exceptional experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, providing a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The location was also ideal, with easy access to local attractions and dining options. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a fantastic stay. We will definitely be coming back!"

Fantastic place, ideal for those, who wont to really relax. Hotel run by a friendly family, who took care of everything. Very clean and pleasant everywhere. A family atmosphere prevailed every day. Other guests we spoke to also had this feeling. Free time could be spent by the pool, which was available to guests. Evenings at the hotel cafe, with a little alcohol and soft music. Hotel located in a quiet area. The sea is really close - just a short walk. Several beautiful beaches and viewpoints nearby and many taverns, restaurants, shops. Thank's for every moment spent in yours Eleni ;))) Agnes&Piotr

Lovely place. I have stayed in so many places in Kos with excellent breakfast their breakfast was a real letdown, but what a lovely family run hotel.

You get what you pay for, and for what this 10 day holiday cost we found our accommodation to be excellent value. We brought a kettle but as we were out and about didn’t need it often. The rooms are clean and regularly serviced with fresh towels and bedding. The bathroom was dated with that tiny Greek shower where the temperature offers surprises and the water won’t stay in the tray, but the sun soon dries the bath mat (line and pegs on the balcony) and it’s all part of the experience. Balconies aren’t private. The hotel is small, set back one small road away from the main road. Loads of tavernas supermarkets and a lovely geletaria are within a short walk and it’s about 20 minutes to the small harbour. It is Greek-family run by multiple generations. We found them all friendly and professional but not intrusive. They always smiled and said hello. There were a couple of distant cats. The garden area is well maintained as is the pool. We paid extra for air conditioning 7e per day, safety deposit in reception a small charge and tourist tax is 1.5e per day. We were able to keep our room for late checkout as our flight home was in the evening, 35€. Breakfast is simple and repetitive but more than adequate; bread, butter, jam, cheese slices, orange juice, tea or coffee, and either a boiled egg or ham/luncheon meat. You could eat outside or in. There is a small bar area near the pool serving simple food and various drinks from mid morning to late evening, no annoying music (except occasional bursts of baby shark for baby son of the young couple running it). Plenty of parking between mature olive trees beside the hotel.

Amazing hotel managed by a wonderful family. They're always willing to help and we felt very welcomed. They have a lively bar by the pool area with ice cold beer ans snaks. The prices are more than affordable and the service 10/10. I absolutely loved it and will definitely return next year

Family run hotel, older & younger generations involved. Older generation somewhat stuck before the modern era, with an inferred belief you shouldn’t complain or ask questions. Breakfast was poor & you’re served rations with no choice. Booked a 3 bed apartment but was initially given a twin room with a complimentary bed. When I complained one of the older generations (original owner) announced it’s the holiday season, what do we expect, and if we didn’t like it, find somewhere else! Tour operator was involved and eventually given a 3-bed room; itself had no TV on the wall, just a bracket and loose cables. Extraction in the bathroom wasn’t fitted. To have air conditioning you needed to pay €7 daily. Breakfast: this consisted of rations which included on alternating days: Day 1 per person: 2 x slices of processed cheese (the type you get in packets to add with burgers), 1 x egg, bread rolls at your discretion. Orange juice (not fresh) and coffee/Tea Day 2 per person: 2 x slices of processed cheese as above, 2 slices of ham, the type you get in packages that you might use in a bread roll. Bread rolls at your discretion. Orange juice (not fresh) and coffee/tea. Day 3 is a repeat of day 1 Day 4 is a repeat of day 2 and the pattern continues. Most guests were buying their own breakfasts from nearby convenience shop. On last day, I went to pay for air conditioning and room tax, one of the older generation ladies advised payment had to be in cash. I questioned why considering I had used my car to buy drinks and food at the pool bar. Apparently they have no choice, it has to be cash. Personally I’m not convinced. The air conditioning is owned by the hotel, the room tax is effectively a tourism tax, not governed by the hotel. I was moaned at for asking the question. Whilst writing this review, I know I’m not the only guest that had reason to complain. It’s a no frills hotel, very basic and the website could explain in more detail what you can expect for your money.

An absolute little gem of a hotel. The hotel is a family run establishment. It’s exceptionally clean throughout. The pool is lovely and lovely sun lounges too. The family were very helpful and fun. Bar food was lovely. Downside, was breakfast, but that’s not a problem when everything else was brilliant

Family ran hotel The only fault we had was the continental breakfast wasn't really continental , a bit of cheese, ham , bread and the odd time an egg. plus tea coffee and orange juice other than that the hotel was very clean and maintained , family who ran it were lovely very accommodating Rooms were adequate but take a kettle if you like a drink They also do very reasonable well portioned snacks by the pool
