Proteas Hotel in Kamari

We are currently staying at the Proteas and it’s our first time in Santorini. The hotel is very well placed for the shops, restaurants and bars. Owner and staff are very obliging. Hotel looks great with the Bougainville plants covering it. Room cleaned thoroughly every day, towels and mugs changed every day. Breakfast is Greek style continental, but ample, with cereal available if required. Sad to be going home tomorrow, but will be back.

A lovely little hotel in an ideal location, less the 100m from the beach and 200m from the nightlife, shops etc. the hotel was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. breakfast was nice, although not a full english, it was more than enough.

We enjoyed our stay at Proteas Hotel in Kamari. The rooms are clean and have them own spacious balcony, the air conditioning was working absolutely perfect. We had turndown service every day, which is a plus considering you are on an island. The owner and her daughter were really helpful and helped us booking tours around the island and helped us with any enquiries. The included continental breakfast it is good and gives plenty options of sweet and savoury(the pastries were delicious) and fresh fruit available. The hotel is located very close to the majority of good restaurants and tavernas in Kamari and just a 5 min walk away from the beach.

Our ferry to Crete was cancelled, so we needed to scramble for accommodations in Santorini. Luckily, we landed on Proteas hotel, a little gem in Kamari. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Kamari beach and the shops and restaurants around there. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included and again is a simple buffet but tasty and fresh. The hotel is run by a lovely mother and daughter who are extremely accommodating and friendly. They helped us with booking a motorbike, printing our boarding pass, and finding transport to the airport. They were super helpful! This hotel is a great value and a nice, low key place to stay in Kamari. It matches the vibe of Kamari itself, which doesn’t have the touristy-ness or crowds of Oia, but is very pleasant, authentic and relaxing. Plus the beach is good (though I’d recommend driving over to Perissa beach about 15 minutes down the road).

stayed for 5 nights at room 105 mountain view..Athina and Evangelia hosted me with excellent sense of greek hospitality!! Always with warm smile and good attitude!! it was a great experience , very clean and comfort, classic buffet breakfast , also they gave me the extra informations i needed to spent my holidays as i wished.. nice beach near by, ancient Thira was a good early-morning trip and on the way of return i had the chance to find Zoodochou Pighis chapel where the only physsical spring in Santorini is hidden inside ( respect the place , its spiritual ) !! i highly recommend it and i wish i find again the chance to stay again !!

The staff will go out of their way to make your stay the best. The room and hotel is beautiful and very clean. We loved the boho relaxing vibe at the pool. Breakfast is delicious with lots of options so didn’t feel repetitive. Every day they clean the room. It is a few minute away from restaurants, beach etc however far enough that it is peaceful. A few minute walk from the bus stop to get to other locations easily. We will be returning and we came from a family friend recommendation- thanks so much for everything

Beautiful hotel! Excellent service and close to everything!

Our family of 3 ( my husband, I and our 25 year old daughter ) stayed at Selini Hotel for 2 weeks in June after we had to delay our trip for 2 years due to Covid. We absolutely loved it here! It is a small, quiet and quaint Hotel, which is a 5 min walk to a beautiful black sand beach and town with lots of restaurants and shops along the water front. We chose Kamari to avoid crowds and got around with a very affordable rental car for 1 of the 2 weeks. Everything is spotlessly clean incl. the swimming pool. Breakfast is outstanding with a great variety of freshly baked bread, croissants, other baking, ham+ eggs, cheese, Greek salad and awesome coffee. They continually bring out more fresh breakfast food.
It is easy, cheap, convenient and fast to take the local bus to Fira and Oia to take in stunning caldera views.
The staff at Selini Hotel went above and beyond to make our stay an unforgettable one . If you need anything Sissy at the front desk is amazing. She will arrange for rental car, dinner reservation and has wonderful suggestions.
This has been a dream vacation for us and we hope to be back!

Stayed here with my cousin in early Oct 21 and it was a lovely hotel choice don’t let the 2 stars make you think otherwise. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful organising trips, taxis, helping sort out with anything you needed including helping me locate my phone I’d left in a bar the night before.
The pool and bar area were great for relaxing in either after a hard days site-seeing or just catching some rays.
The room was lovely with a cute little balcony and the bathroom was also fantastic the place was spotless.
The breakfast was also plentiful and yummy and the hotel is well located to get to the beach and the bars on the front.
We only stayed a few days for a 40th birthday treat but would definitely stay again. Thanks for making our birthdays
