Amazing stay at Kanela Studios, thanks Marios, Giorgos and Clare. We chose the studio because they have the most amazing shower rooms! They did not disappoint with the best power shower I've ever experienced on a Greek island. The bed had a fabulous king size memory foam mattress which was very comfortable. The little kitchen had everything you needed for basic catering and the fridge was huge to keep all your water and drinks cold. The modern air conditioning unit was very efficient and quiet

Our first and certainly not the last time at Kanela studios. The location is impeccable right off the main street(but never noisy). 50 yards (all flat) from the beach. We had a ground floor studio and could see the sea from our outside space. Beautifully decorated studios and the most modern bathroom i have ever seen in Greece. Spotlessly clean, space cleaned daily and bedding /towels changed ever 3 days. Free air con. It was needed the temperature was still in the 30s. Lots of lovely places to eat within an easy walk. No hills. Supermarket across the road . Marios is perhaps the most lovely man I have ever met Nothing is too much trouble. Can you tell from this review that we loved it here?

Just returned home from an 8 night stay at Kanela and what a wonderful relaxing time we had. The brothers Giorgos and Marios have created a beautiful and homely place and genuinely make you feel at home, always on hand if you need anything. The gorgeous beach was a minute walk away and in a great position on the road for plenty of bars and restaurants and the supermarket. The bed was big and comfy and great walk in shower, also private outdoor table and chairs. Overall perfectly chilled.

This is not just a story about Kanela Studios. This is a story about brothers whose differences make them unique in creating and maintaining the love that fills this place. Creativity and handcrafted details, enriched with imagination, place this accommodation at the very top of my ratings. The modern rustic design of the rooms makes for a restful sleep. The café within the apartments is pure melody. It’s not only about the wonderful organic latte, nor the wide choice of cocktails or delicious pancakes, nor even the music that relaxes the soul. What gives all of this its true charm is the love of the owners and the warm, sincere, heartfelt embrace and conversation they offer. A home is not easy to create—it takes effort, struggle, and love. But Kanela Studios breathes like a home: mine, yours, everyone’s. The sandy, enchanting beach lies right next to the accommodation, where anyone can simply relax and enjoy the endless blue of the sea. As a rather strict person when it comes to reviews, I visited seven islands on this journey, and if I could turn back time—I would definitely come in May and stay until September. I was just a passerby for four days, trying to extend my stay, which was impossible due to full bookings, but Kanela carved itself into my heart. I wholeheartedly recommend coming here and choosing this home, because that is exactly how you will feel—at home. Thank you, Giorgos Malapets

Absolutely beautiful accommodation. So much detail, created with so much care and attention to detail. Fantastic hosts, Location perfect for the beach. Also as in the main street to the front, plenty of bars and restaurants a few minutes away. As a solo traveller the economy room was perfect for my few days stay in Alykes. Had everything could possibly need.

Fantastic in every way! We stayed in a studio apartment which was just beautiful, handmade furniture and unique style with attention to detail, the whole place has such a relaxing atmosphere. Large comfortable bed, great bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The rooms are cleaned every day with clean towels/bedding every three days. Location is great, we had a side sea view and it is less than two minutes to the beach. Not only was the accommodation very good, Giorgos, Marios and the rest of the staff are just the nicest people, so welcoming and helpful, thank you for making our first trip to Alykes so wonderful.

We booked direct with the studios and everything was so easy. They provided great information and advice regardng the local area and details for car hire options. Our studio was on the ground floor and had a lovely terrace with a table and chairs. It was nice and private. The studio had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay and the shower was always hot and very powerful. The fridge wasn't working properly but it was changed the next day. We were there at the beginning of the season and for the first ew days we were the only ones staying here. Marios is a lovely man and was always around for a chat or for some local advice. The location is ideal and we found it to be quiet even though it is in the centre of town. The beach is less than 1 minute walk away and there is a supermarket with a bakery across the street. This is a lovely place to stay and very relaxing.

Stayed for 11 nights in a budget studio which was small but beautifully appointed and decorated. The room had great air con ( included in the room price) strong WiFi, a queen sized bed, flat screen smart TV with Netflix, small fridge, kettle and few utensils and a lovely, modern shower/toilet. There’s also a small balcony with table and chairs and a clothes drying rack. The cafe/reception area is beautiful and very popular for coffee with residents and other visitors. As mentioned in so many previous reviews, the Staff are fantastic. The Manager, Marios is officially the nicest bloke on earth. He literally cannot do enough for you. He was so welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and just the best host you could ever wish for. He was ably assisted by the lovely Clare and Robert who were also so kind and helpful. Alykes beach is only yards behind the hotel with numerous beach bars/hotels renting sun beds ranging from €3.50 ( for 1 bed and umbrella) up to €20 for 2 at the more trendy bars. The general location is great, at three far end of the Town with loads of restaurants, bars and the legendary Montes supermarket 100 yards across the road. I absolutely loved my stay at this fantastic place. Thanks and love to all the staff.

I booked Kanela studio for a week as I was in Zakynthos for my best friend’s wedding. As soon as I arrived, I got welcomed like in a family. The whole team was so lovely and available. The room was very comfortable, the environment very chill and relax, style surf house. I was going to the Kanela cafe every day and it was like being with friends I always known. I really recommend this place if you are looking for a little authentic get away from all the superficial places you can find in some village of the island! Thank you to Marios, Claire and Roberto ❤️
