The Bay Hotel & Suites in Vasilikos

This hotel is quite literally heaven on Earth. It isn't just a place to come to stay, it is a lifetime experience. I have nothing be praise for the staff, every single one of them made our experience one that we will never forget. The attention to detail and hospitality was sublime. The rooms are spacious, comfy and clean, the restaurant, pool bar and breakfast is 5* with a wide selection to choose from, having something new for eachday. The private beach is the most luxurious part, something you'd normally only get if you were paying tens of thousands. it is dedicated to the hotel residents with big comfy beds dotted around for your own privacy. Beautiful golden sand, gorgeous mountain views, watersports closeby if needed. Calm, clear, blue water.

I booked this hotel to get engaged, the staff were so helpful and thoughtful setting up a private area for the big question and arranging flowers, taking pictures etc. They were genuinally excited and happy for us. A big thank you to the entire reception team, Maria, and Amelia at the poolside.

The hotel interior was modern and calming with a slight artsy style, very in theme with luxury Greek holiday. My only suggestion would be to have some artworks around to further lift the aesthetic.

There was a small hotel shop which was useful for essentials and snacks, the hotel is a drive away from any major towns or there is a short walk to a small strip witha. few restaurants and shop.

We stayed from 23-30th September and the weather was great other than 2 rainy days at the end.

A proper 5* experience - comfy rooms with large beds and powerful showers, friendly, helpful staff, the largest, loveliest breakfast buffet I've ever encountered, beautiful location, fab pool and ultra comfy sunbeds, a wonderful beach and great food and cocktails. There's a couple of tavernas nearby if you want to eat out and I'd recommend Taverna Familia and Skartsofoli especially. Loved every minute and will return next Autumn.

Without doubt the most luxurious hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. The staff were incredibly friendly. helpful and from reception to cocktail waiters, nothing was too much trouble. We chose a standard double with a garden view which was comfortable, with a large bed and amazingly powerful shower. The hotel sits by the private beach with fabulous scenery all around. The pool area is large, the sunbeds are luxurious, like padded single beds. Breakfast was incredible, with the largest range of foods I've ever seen offered. Dinner, wines and cocktails were top drawer. We did eat out several times with lovely Greek food at nearby tavernas (Skartsofoli and Taverna Familia) which was a nice change and one of the benefits of taking the B&B option. Will definitely return. 10/10.

We had a lovely stay at The Bay. Hotel, our room, the friendly staff and the other facilities were more than I had hoped for. We got to use a sauna on a rainy day, got a great massage at the spa and enjoyed our lives at the pool and beach, with plenty of space and beds.
Breakfast was excellent and the hotel's restaurant menu also.

There are other restaurants and a little village within walking distance and we rented a car one day and drove around the island.

Lovely restaurants. Visited for dinner as non-hotel residents. Most staff were lovely, one made us feel quite unwelcome despite their policy of welcoming non-hotel residents at their restaurants. Food is incredible - albeit pricey for the area, with the set menu costing €160 for two.

We choose The Bay as we wanted calm , peace and quiet. This we got in abundance . This place is not perfect but could easily be with a few tweaks. The location is stunning , the rooms modern and spacious , the food is lovely . Plenty of choice for everyone and no problems with coffee at breakfast as mentioned in other reviews. Food could do to be warmer . Dinner is 5 courses and you choose the main from a choice of 3 . Although lovely was pretty much the same most evenings and in my opinion this is one of the areas they could improve . I think people may prefer less courses but more main choice . Something that really makes this place is the staff. Always attentive but not intrusive , pleasant and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble . The massages were fabulous! We really enjoyed our stay here(except when we had a thunder storm and there is literally nothing to do) If you want total relaxation on comfortable Sun beds with a lovely view and good service this is the place for you .

I stayed here for my friend's birthday and the staff helped to make her birthday day super special. We loved the location of the hotel and the hotel itself was great. Super clean, staff were amazing, friendly and attentive. We also loved the hotel breakfast and would recommend this hotel to anyone!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Bay Hotel & Suites in Zakynthos. The location is stunning—right on the beach with crystal-clear waters and breathtaking views. The hotel grounds are beautiful with a relaxing pool area and plenty of space to unwind. The rooms were comfortable, and modern, with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—always friendly, attentive, and happy to help with anything we needed. Breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of fresh, delicious options, and we especially enjoyed dining outdoors while taking in the sea view. The hotel’s atmosphere is peaceful and elegant, making it perfect for couples or families who want both relaxation and a touch of luxury. Overall, The Bay Hotel & Suites exceeded our expectations, and we left feeling completely recharged. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zakynthos and will definitely return on our next trip.

Firstly , no apologies for the length of this review as this hotel merits the feedback. The hotel is definitely 5 Star contrary to some reviews and the food is 10 stars if there was such a thing. The grounds are immaculate and well kept. The reception we received when we arrived was warm and friendly and instantly felt at home. When we went to our room for the for the first time I wasn’t too happy with the sea view room I’d paid extra for. Don’t get me wrong, everything about the room was first class but the sea view was minimal. However, a quick word with the fantastic Voula at reception and we were moved to a room with a fantastic view of the beach the following day. Thank you Voula for all your efforts and making us feel so welcome. I urge you to go half board if you’re a foody. The buffet breakfast is the best I’ve ever had for quality and choice. The set evening meal (There is a choice for the main course) is five to six courses and every dish is a fine dining experience with an explanation of each dish served. Complementary bottle of water is also brought to your table. There is a beach bar on site which serves very good food (Which is far more than your usual pizzas and burgers) up until 6pm then turns into a beach side restaurant which is extra above the half board, but again, worth every penny. The beach is private and immaculate with the comfiest sunbeds ever dotted around as well as on the main beach next to the sea. Also, you have a beautiful pool next to the beach bar, with again sunbeds and cushions comfier than most beds. The rooms are a mixture of modern and traditional Greek style with a safety deposit box, fridge with complimentary bottle of water replaced each day, excellent air con, hair dryer, clothes steamer, robes, slippers, beach towels, coffee machine (Pods refilled every day) and the best range of complimentary toiletries I’ve ever come across. Rooms are cleaned daily and spotless and towels changed daily. We did find room service a bit zealous on the first morning, knocking on our door at 9am! But that was a one off and the house keeper quickly learned our routine and tended to the room when we were out for the day. The hotel is in a quiet, calming and secluded location and quite isolated but this is what we wanted. Having said that within a short walk there’s an independent beach bar to the right (Puntos Basta) which serves good food and well priced drinks up to 8pm and to the left the Calypso Bar / Restaurant on Banana Beach, which again serves good food and drinks with plenty of water sports nearby during the day. This bar is less traditional and more modern and caters more for the younger end but is not rowdy by any stretch. Regarding the water sports we had a go on the 110BHP jet ski which was €50 for 15 minutes. You get the option to buy photographs taken and / or drone footage if you wish. The drone footage is really good and a good memento. The photos and footage combined was €30 after a bit of haggling. P

The Bay Hotel & Suites is an excellently run hotel in the south-east of Zakynthos on Banana Beach. The hotel is located directly on the beautiful, private and well-maintained sandy beach. The beach slopes gently and is therefore ideal for small children. Directly behind the beach is a large freshwater pool with a beautiful bar and a well-kept outdoor restaurant under a huge shady tree. The food is very good, with a generous breakfast buffet and separate à la carte options for lunch and dinner. The staff are very well trained and extremely courteous. We stayed as a family in rooms 605 and 606, which were ideally located in the center, close to the reception and the pool. The rooms are in very good condition, with super-quiet air conditioning, wonderful sea views, and very spacious. Perfect daily cleaning. There is a hard tennis court, a tastefully decorated shop, a spa, and a very spacious, well-equipped gym with lots of equipment (strength and endurance). High-caliber audience from all over Europe. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in August and didn't have a single complaint!
