Balatontourist Füred Kemping&Üdülőfalu in Balatonfured

I'm not recommending this place during the summer time for people who are traveling around Europe and want to take one night to sleep in a campervan. The price is super expensive 27 530 HUF per night and when I asked if we could stay 1-2h longer before checkout time 12pm they didn't allow us. I also asked if we could park outside and use the beach for swimming, then I was told that I have to buy a new ticket to get inside.

Rented a mobile home here for 6 nights. In summary, it was a disappointing experience. The mobile home was dated and poorly maintained. There were several health and safety issues with it, such as broken decking and missing door knob for the shower doors, exposing a sharp and rusty screw (pictures attached). At night, the grounds are poorly lit, so unless you use a torch, you can easily trip over the broken asphalt roads.
Service was nonexistent. We went to the beach a few times where the so-called life guards (probably teen-aged university students) were more interested in anything and everything but being on the lookout.
Unless you have your campervan or want to do your own tent-style holiday, you're best off booking a hotel or Airbnb.

Disappointing Stay at Balatonfüred Campgrounds

We recently stayed at Balatonfüred Campgrounds because we wanted to use the wakeboarding facilities advertised as part of the experience. Unfortunately, our visit was very disappointing due to unclear information and unfair pricing.

When we arrived, we planned to buy wakeboarding passes for three adults and two children. We received a voucher as part of the wakeboarding deal, but it did not state anywhere that children would then have to pay full adult entry fees to access the campground itself. These campground entry fees are separate from the wakeboarding prices, which was never explained clearly in advance.

When I questioned why both kids had to pay adult prices just to enter, I was told this has “been the policy for 30 years,” and my concerns were dismissed without any meaningful explanation.

To make matters worse, the campground does not offer free internet, which seems unacceptable for the high prices charged. Instead, you have to pay extra if you want Wi-Fi, despite the campground not offering many other facilities to justify the cost.

Overall, the combination of confusing policies, lack of transparency, and dismissive customer service made this a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend Balatonfüred Campgrounds to families expecting clear information, reasonable pricing, or good value for money.

Beautiful campsite and surroundings.
The mobile home was quite old. The stove didn’t work properly, but we were given a replacement. Upon arrival, the accommodation felt very stuffy and dusty, which triggered an allergic reaction. The environment is lovely, but the mobile home needs better maintenance and cleaning.

Paid 40 EUR for 2 people in a tent over one night. Bad backgroud for a camp, restaurants serve overpriced trash. Loud music over all night. Pool in terrible condition. Near beach is full of “fun air trampoline” for a kids. Avoid this place.
