Excellent location - metro, bus and tram stops right outside the hotel entrance, and Keleti train station is also a 10-minute walk away. The pillow in the room was very thin, but the receptionist gave me a second, better one. The automatic air conditioning system makes some noise at night, but by the second day I got used to it and it wasn't a problem. The only toiletries available were liquid soap...

This was absolutely amazing experience. I’ve got a free room upgrade, it was incredible. The hotel room cleanliness was extraordinary, super clean and finally I had a great night sleep. The mattress is extra firm and super comfy, keep your spine nice and straight. I really enjoyed my stay here. Another great thing about the location is the location.

I had a great time. Its a good room for the price that you paid. The location is really its near the New York Cafe like 1 min away. I love that is has Lidl near it its so easy to get everything you need. They don’t have soap or shampoo or anything so bring your own.

Cheap, clean, no extras. There was no breakfast.

Staff was nice, the room is small but cozy. The upstairs ones have air conditioning too. Wifi signal was weak in the rooms, the parking lot is very small and narrow, but I always found a parking space on the street front.

We were very happy to find this place for a good price, close to the town center, close to the train station. It is clean, neat, very nice place. It has a “lobby” with fridge to use that you share with others. You can make coffee there too. The owners live nearby and can be reached. They are very friendly and welcoming. Our 2 day stay was pleasant and we will return there when we visit the town.

This review is way overdue. We stopped by this place in the summer of 2023. Very polite owner, secure parking, clean room. Highly recommend this place. We took the picture the next day after we already slept in the bed, so it doesn't look perfect but still wanted to share a picture of the nice room. 🙂

This guest house is perfectly located in a quiet street just walking distance from the lake. The owner is incredibly friendly and will go above and beyond to make his guests happy. I would definitely stay here again, and Guest House Moritz is highly recommended.

They do not accept credit cards, so be prepared. The rooms are spacious and nice, but with no AC (they have blinds though). The shower is clean, but could do with a bit of renewal. Great location if you leave the guest house going right or left their a supermarket & metro lines so it’s pretty easy to get around Budapest. Their a laundry mat right across the street from guesthouse if you need to wash clothes.

The hotel environment is fantastic, like visiting a late 19th-century museum. I absolutely loved the design and look forward to staying here again on my next trip! We stayed here for one night. The experience with the guest was very nice. Very welcoming staff. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning and it was hard to sleep on a hot summer night. But M2 is close and that was very nice.

It was an okay experience. The room was clean, safe for my dust allergy. The landlord was helpful too. But there's a clear disconnect between the landlord and the receptionist. The later is clearly doing things only for money.. Both I and other guests had problems with him. And the toilet paper was also missing.. It's okay for a one time stay.

Really nice, cosy place to stay. Free parking on the street, Burger King restaurant 5 minutes of walk from the guesthouse. The only thing that may be disturbing for some people is the railway line nearby this Guesthouse and trains passing there all the night. Except this, everything is okay :)

If you are not looking for a comfortable hotel room then I can recommend a stay here. In the 8th floor ~6 rooms are available here. The location is good. Not direct in the centre but therefore you don't see tourist all the time

Honestly don’t understand any bad reviews about this place. We stayed here for two nights and had the best time. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was sufficient and very yummy. The location was quiet and still very easy and walkable to the nearest sights. The people at the front desk were super nice and also let us check out later. Will be coming again for sure!

A clean accommodation option in a great location. Plenty of bars and places to eat within a short walk. The rooms was well-equipped and the shower excellent. The reception team was friendly and helpful and I liked the non-fussy but substantial enough breakfast with good coffee. Just a quick note to say how grateful I was for the help of the ever patient and resourceful staff . It was my first stop from Australia and they were very helpful , for example recommending a local travel agent when it was difficult to book a train on line

I visited the bar with my cousin, we spend a nice time there. It's perfect place to talk, also available to play billiard. Romantika pension and bar is situated touristed area of Gyula. I would offer the owner to provide local pálinka too, what are very famous and fine. I was disappointed that there weren't any of these available.

Our room was on ground floor and at night it was really noisy..doors are not soundproof and I could not sleep because of the noise. Good value only if you have a good deal on a room. For the basic rate it is expensive. Decent rooms, messy communal shower and the reception is not to good. They mixed up our room, our new room had no airco. In dutch we would say 'vergane glorie'

We came to this hostel after being scammed in another one.
