Horrible Room: The room I booked through Agoda was horrible—the air conditioning didn't work, the TV didn't work, and it was awful. The temperature in the room was about 30 degrees, and there were so many mosquitoes I couldn't even open the window. I thought I was going to collapse. I contacted the front desk and they began trying to fix the air conditioner. But all they did was clean the filter, and I knew it was a futile effort. After wasting two hours without even being able to eat, they moved me to a different room. The air conditioner worked, but when I took a shower, a huge amount of muddy water came out and stained my body black. This is a horrible hotel. They even demanded a tip. I would rather they compensate me for the two wasted hours and the muddy shower.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Astoria Hotel in Kolkata. The hotel's prime location made it incredibly convenient for us to explore the city's vibrant attractions and bustling markets during Durga Puja. We were particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel. Our rooms were spotless, and the common areas were well-maintained, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. We like the care taken by all staff to ensure our stay was comfortable. We would like to visit again, next year.

Our train from Dhaka was running late, so we informed staff at Astoria Hotel. They assured us that we will get room and food even if we arrive late. They have flexible check-in time. Reception staff always helpful. Clean towels and tea coffee always given when asked.

Kolkata New Market area has many hotels which offer facilities only on internet, after reaching there, we realize there was no hot water, safety locker, parking etc. We then came to Astoria Hotel where they had easy check in and running hot water facility. Big parking area and every room has lockers.

I had stayed in Astoria Hotel last December. Rooms are clean and spacious. I liked the breakfast options. Staff was friendly and very helpful. We brought our mother to show in hospital. Astoria Hotel staff helped us with wheelchair. Hot water available. Restaurant has many items, good food.

Terrible Service by Hotel staff and also Reception desk. I am a frequent traveler, I was travelling so many countries specially India Kolkata countless but this hotel and it's services was terrible. Please stay away from this Hotel Not Recommended if possible I was give them Minus marking. Just Terrible.

Good to stay. Cordial Staffs and Services. Adjacent area though dirty due to markets. Otherwise its fine to stay if anyone wants to stay New Market area.

Pizza was ok. But space is not adequate. The place has more chair & table than it can take. As they build 2 floor out of one, space over the head is not enough for tall people like me.

i felt it's over rated and bit expensive when compared to other hotels in the area. not recommended for back packer or people like.me who don't want to spend extra for same quality food found outside

A sheer paradise for the ones who would like to have some authentic Bangla cuisine. They have a perfect blend of varieties and taste to satisfy your cravings of pure bangla cuisine. A must visit place indeed. A 4 on 5 as the ambience is not that good. But who cares of ambience when you get such lip smacking, finger licking food?

Located at the heart of the city this is best place in Kolkata for bengali dishes more particularly Bangladeshi dishes. Prices reasonable. Taste yummy.

Located right on Mirza Ghalib Street, it serves authentic Bengali cuisines, although the pricing isn’t pocket friendly. Service has been great so far, although there’s room for improvement. Ambience is nice and quality of food is usually good. This outlet has been opened after their initial success in other outlets in the city and they have been doing a good job with traditional food being served in clean and efficient manner.
