Bhanuswari Resort & Spa in Ubud

Not recommended!!!, I think all the positive ratings are old, the properties, really nice from outside but from inside, it’s very poorly maintained. The design is very awful. The light which is behind the bed. The shower is like very low. The shower is like that my chest level. Also our Ac stopped working at midnight when needed to change the room like at 12 in the night and the room, they shifted us to the water over there smelled very rusty, the reception really don’t know how to speak English,I really recommend you to not book this hotel because only thing it’s given us is frustration

Terrifying and Traumatizing Experience – Please Stay Away!

As a woman, I’ve never felt more unsafe and vulnerable while on a vacation. My husband and I booked a private pool villa at this resort, hoping for a relaxing escape. But from the moment we arrived, it was disappointing — the villa was old, poorly maintained, and had a foul, musty smell that made it uncomfortable to stay in.

But what happened next was absolutely terrifying. While we were in the private pool, I noticed a man lurking behind a banana tree, staring directly at us. He was clearly hiding and watching us, like a total creep. The moment he realized we had seen him, he bolted into the bushes and disappeared. I was shocked, shaken, and honestly scared out of my mind.

We immediately informed the staff, expecting them to take serious action. But instead, they dismissed it with a ridiculous excuse, saying it was just a local farmer and that they couldn’t do anything about it. No concern for our safety. No action taken. Just complete negligence.

As a woman, privacy and security are non-negotiable — and this resort failed miserably on both counts. What was supposed to be a peaceful holiday turned into a disturbing, unsafe nightmare.

To any other women or couples considering this place: please don’t risk it. Your safety is far more important than what this terrible resort offers. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.
