Pertiwi Resort & Spa in Ubud

The resort includes rooms and villas spread across a stunningly landscaped property. The main entrance is on Jalan Monkey Forest but I believe the less expensive rooms are near Jalan Bisma; check before you arrive as it's a hike involving a ravine between the two gates. Both streets are full of shops and restaurants but the resort is very quiet. Our deluxe room was large with a spacious balcony. It's not spanking new, but that's what I liked: it felt atmospheric and stately. Breakfast was good and WIFI worked. Very friendly and helpful staff. My only caution is that the stream in the ravine is pretty but there is an odour that probably affects the rooms next to it.

View is excellent. We had room facing the back field and pool. Would definitely drop by again.

Conveniently located in Ubud with lots of eateries nearby. Room was basic but clean and sufficient.

The hotel's breakfast tasted alright, but the variety was very limited and it was à la carte only. The environment was decent and quite spacious, but there's no elevator. If you're staying in one of the rooms further inside, you'll have to walk quite a distance.

Exelent area ,helplyful person

The room was not totally clean. The floor was sticky. The shower head broke, water barely came out. Lucky the heater is working. The aircond was not fully cold, the position I think is not suitable for the room setup.

Location is AMAZING
very close to monkey forest and the palace.
Resort is very big and feels like you are in the middle of jungle.
However, I had to change a room because I found a dead cockroach in the bathroom.
The second room, there was huge puddle of ants and had to ask a staff for anti bug spray.
Other than that, it was good

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by friendly staff.

Our room was located at the far end of the hotel, which required a bit of a walk. While this was slightly tiring, it came with a silver lining: the back entrance near our room opened directly onto a street lined with shops and restaurants. Additionally, staff members were always available and ready to assist with our luggage due to the distance from the main reception.

The buffet food was a highlight of our stay—fresh and with a good variety of options.

There were, however, a couple of minor inconveniences. The room did not come with a hair dryer by default; you had to request one separately. Also, the bathroom design could use improvement. Although there was a shower curtain, water from the shower would land on the edge of the tub and run onto the floor, leaving the bathroom floor under water.

On a more positive note, the hotel’s exterior is beautiful—very well maintained and clearly cared for, which added to the charm of the overall experience.

All in all, despite a few small issues, the hotel was pleasant and offered good value.
