Origin Ubud in Ubud

The staff is wonderful, 10/10. Breakfast is excellent—you choose from a menu, it's delivered to your villa twice, and then you eat it in the lobby—not great. The shower has weak water pressure, sometimes boiling hot, sometimes freezing cold. The bed linen isn't changed, and housekeeping is superficial. The pool is cold, and the heating is very weak. Overall, the room is nice, but it feels neglected. You can hear other noises in the villa: breakfast preparation, people leaving from neighboring villas, and driving on the nearby road.

Feel like in lap of nature so quiet and blissful .
Food was good too breakfasr was fresh and welldone.

A great villa in a quiet location, everything was great, we didn't regret choosing it.
Cons: it's a bit of a walk, and the breakfast is so-so, but they bring it to your room.

Staff is friendly. Rooms are clean. Villa is a bit far from main road and shops. There is a flight of stairs that every one need to go down in order get to their apartment. The lighting on the stairs at night was very poor and the stairs had no edge markings and was slippery due apparently to dark coloured algae on the steps. When we came back on one of the nights, one of us fell down while walking slowly down the stairs. Safety while going down the stairs is a top concern especially for older and less agile guests. The small road between the villa and the main road has uncovered drains that suddenly appear in front of you while you are walking on the side of the road and if you are not careful especially at night whereby the lighting was either dim or absent. If you are not careful you may fall into the uncovered drain while walking back to the villa at night.

We had such a lovely stay at Origin Ubud — a hidden gem surrounded by nature, yet just a short ride from the heart of Ubud. The villa was beautifully designed, combining modern comfort with serene tropical vibes. Waking up to birdsong and having a private pool to unwind in made the experience incredibly calming.

A special shoutout to the amazing staff — everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. From arranging transport to checking in on us throughout the day, their friendliness made us feel truly welcomed and cared for.

The services by the staff are excellent. The location of the hotel is about 10 mins walk to the Main Street and yet quiet enough. Highly recommend hotel!

Villa looks luxurious. My most favourite stay in Bali!

Thank you very much for our memorable stay in “Origin Ubud”. We bookies 2bedm. villa, but cause of the overbooked the hotel couldn’t provide it, they kindly gave us 2 villas. All the staff were kind and helpful, villas were clean and nice. It’s not so fare away from the Ubud centre, and we with two kids can reach it easily. The variety of breakfast it good, western style as well as local. You can contact with the reception by WhatsApp which is very convenient. Whatever you wants just text. If we will come back Ubud for sure will stay again here. Thank you🫶🏻
