Reviews
Hotel Restaurant: Currently, they don't accept QRIS. The pork chop rice, satay skewers with fried noodles, and dirty duck rice are all delicious. I wasn't a fan of the chicken breast dish. A la carte dishes are around a few tens of dollars each, and hotel guests get a 10% discount. Breakfast was just okay. There's a complimentary afternoon tea where you can choose one of four options. They also offer a free welcome drink. The dinner buffet felt a bit overpriced; I'd recommend ordering a la carte if you have a smaller appetite. Besides a few grilled skewers, nothing else was particularly amazing.
Hotel Activities: Not all activities are available daily. The hotel's temple tour is a must-do; it's exclusive to hotel guests and highly recommended. I didn't participate in the other activities, but I definitely would next time. I'd love to try the Bali offering class next time.
Hotel Room: The rooms are quite spacious. If you're on the roadside, you might hear some car noise. Rooms further down are probably quieter, so if you prefer peace and quiet, you might want to request that in advance. However, staying further down means a longer walk to and from the hotel, and it can be a bit dark at night. Those with mobility issues should consider this before staying on lower levels. It's slightly humid but not a big issue. Occasionally, you'll hear lizards at night, but there are almost no mosquitoes. The facilities are a bit old, given it's a century-old hotel, but overall it's clean and comfortable.
Paid Options: Floating breakfast and romantic dinners are available for booking, ranging from over a hundred to several hundred dollars. Hotel guests get a 30% discount on spa services, which I unfortunately didn't have time for, but really wanted to try.
Location: It's about 1km from Ubud Palace, and there are walking trails nearby. There's also a convenience store right opposite, which is very handy.
Will definitely book here again when we come back to Ubud.
We booked the Premiere Raja room. The room is nice and spacious, but unfortunately the view from our balconny was obstructed with building renovation. Luckily we met Pak Gusti Dwipayana, the Manager, he kindly moves us to another Premiere Raja room with open view to the hill. Absolutely beautiful. Thanks to Pak Gusti 🙏🏼
Thanks a lot to Pak Gusti, and also all the people at Hotel Tjampuhan Spa. They are all very friendly and helpful.
We love it, and we will be back for sure 😊
I really appreciate each and every member of their staff for being caring, attentive, responsive and welcoming. Always ready to accommodate your problem and help you
The package we booked included afternoon tea (which my son was crazy about), free 10 min neck & shoulder massage and 1 everyday free Balinese cultural activity.
Spa was great with a beautiful natural flowing water sound to relax.
Breakfast buffet had a wide variety and included more veg options which was a blessing for us.
The only thing to consider is that there are stairs everywhere.
Breakfast: Delicious and simple , everyone was satisfied with breakfast. 😋 Hotel provided us daily afternoon tea , it was very yummy, sitting on the edge of jungle and having tea is just amazing , calming . For that view maybe. In some places you will pay and enjoy. But in Tjampuhan hotel you can enjoy everyday 😍
Pool: has 2 pool, one pool is bigger and has kids pool 90, adult pool 2.10 . Pool was clean during our stay and not too many people , there were always empty sunbath.
Spa: We planned to have spa, unfortunately we sunburned and skin was so sensitive. However many people were booking spa massage appointments. Spa room is very relaxing its just next to the riverside. Hotel provided 10min head neck complimentary massage , mom and husband was very satisfied with it. As they said, Masseuse was very gentle.
Location: for us it was near with everything, near to Ubud palace, near with Bintang supermarket where you can buy everything, near with local famous pork ribs restaurant Naughty Nuri . And Ubud art market . I would say good location
