Hotel Ambassador in Laigueglia

My girlfriend and 5-year-old daughter only had 3 and a half days available for a quick beach getaway in Liguria and stumbled upon this ‘Ambassador Hotel’ which clearly had last minute availabilities… This is the hottest summer ever recorded, there are no mini fridges in the rooms and the staff of this poopoo hole only serve dinner at 7:30PM sharp; so how is a guest supposed to survive from dehydration you may wonder, by keeping warm bottles of water in their room or from drinking for the tap. I asked if we could have a mini fridge in the room and was told that it’s not required for a 3 star hotel. On the first night we were extremely hot and woke up in rather sweaty bedsheets and asked the staff if we could have them changed or even change them ourselves and we heard the same answer from before, that it’s not required to change the sheets every day in a three-star hotel but only every 3 days and if we wanted to change them more than that then we had to pay extra. What we paid for 4 days was easily twice if not more than what the place was worth and this is also probably going to be the nicest sentence in my whole review. One night we had a plate of leftover pasta al pesto from a restaurant that we brought back with us in a doggy bag and since there is no fridge in the room we asked the staff if they could kindly keep it in their fridge overnight and we’d ask for it the following day at lunch, they did and the following day acted as if they had graced us with God knows what special service, which is obviously not required for a three star hotel to do lol…. But let’s get to the room and I do apologize for the sheer length of this next part….. Anyway, sometimes, it could happen, that maybe a thing or two could be wrong or off with a room; rarely more than that and never something like 9-10 things clearly off with the room, but no 3 star hotel that I’ve ever been a guest at, somewhere in the hundreds, was ever a complete disappointment such as this hotel ambassador Laigueglia and if the staff there wants to do a service to humanity all they need to do is quit in mass. 1. The television would often get scrambled and literally turn itself off randomly and then not turn on again even if you pressed the on button for the next 30 minutes. Not a great thing when you put kid’s cartoons on for your child. . 2. The bathroom was by far the cruelest jokes of all jokes: The trash bin wouldn’t open with the foot pedal but you had to bend down physically to open or close it. 3. When you walked into the shower both the shower doors would come off their hinges and tracks, every and each time you even grazed them. 4. There was a rusty screw used to close the bathroom cabinet, I JOKE YOU NOT. I cut my arm trying to open it and my first thought was “when did I get my last tetanus shot?” Beyond ridiculous. 5. The bathroom door itself couldn’t be locked in any way but when it was shut closed children under the age of 11 wouldn’t be able to open it with all

The worst holiday I ever had! I won't come here anymore! The staff were good but the Rooms are horrible!

Liguria. Or Liguria. Why are you Liguria?
Never again such a place. Stifling heat, prosecco on tap (disgusting), paid pier, typical welcome non-existent, fan almost caught fire ... I tried to give tourism an opportunity after several years, but nothing to do. Liguria never again.
Long live Romagna forever.
