B&B Caravello in Milazzo

The location is okay, a good option for a trip to the Aeolian Islands because it's close to the port, but it's not recommended for a general vacation (I'm sorry to say). The customer service staff were very kind and helpful, a great person, but the rooms were really basic, the cleaning wasn't always done properly (though the staff was friendly and there was a nice scent of air freshener), the exterior was neglected (only in the last few days have they put in new plants and watered them; otherwise, it wasn't well-maintained), the doors were low-quality and creaky (you couldn't close them at night to use the bathroom, otherwise you'd wake the person(s) you were with), and even the front door to the room creaked, despite trying to keep the noise to a minimum. The building is generally made of poor materials, noisy, with thin walls, and not suitable for sleeping. The mattress wasn't very good for a restful sleep. There were damp spots in some areas of the room. There are no screens on the windows (you have to keep the shutters or windows closed at all times). The room with the king-size balcony is highlighted: it's the largest, but unfortunately, it doesn't have a great view. There's a fairly large lawn, but it's a bit overgrown. There were issues with the automatic entrance door; it would sometimes get stuck. The bathroom also had structural issues, not all of which were easy to fix; the hot water sometimes took a bit too long to come on. The inconveniences were a bit too numerous. Breakfast (which consists of a €3 voucher per person to use at a nearby café) was unfortunately missing. I couldn't take advantage of it because the café was closed, and they didn't take steps to resolve the issue. The young woman we spoke to really made an effort to listen to the guest, which we greatly appreciated, but unfortunately, she couldn't resolve everything. As an employee, it's impossible to resolve everything; support from the owners would have been helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend that the establishment resolve all these issues, so as not to be seen as just a stopover for trips to the Aeolian Islands, and so as to receive a well-deserved excellent review. I wish them good luck.

We stayed for one night. The person providing the keys was not there and we had to call several times before getting an answer and wait a while to be able to check in. The air conditioning did not work (complicated in August) and the window facing the road, there was a lot of noise. Breakfast is taken much further away, in an area where our tourist car was not allowed to go. We had to leave the next day at 8:30 a.m. and told the check-out person: at 8:50 a.m. she still wasn't there. We had to come back in the evening to pay, and we still waited a long time for her to arrive to be able to pay.
I do not recommend at all because the operation of the b&b made us embarrassed 4 times in 24 hours.
To make matters worse, the friendliness of the staff leaves something to be desired.
