We had a pleasant stay at Terrazza Duomo in Amalfi. The location is excellent in the center of the town and also close to the ferry and bus terminal. The hotel is quite charming but with a lot of stairs to climb.

Amalfi is beautiful. Italy is amazing. This hotel is in a great location. But! It should be known the AC doesn’t work and there is a restaurant that is VERY LOUD on the 3rd floor that closes around 12:30-1 a.m. Don’t accept a room that is on the same floor as the restaurant…you will not sleep. If you are a heavy sleeper (or curious about the inter-workings of a restaurant) go for it. I had to go into the hall twice to make sure everything was ok as restaurant staff were yelling. Around 12:30 a.m. I almost got out of bed to help restaurant staff finish up so I could sleep (lots of noise). Not much you can do, I get that people have to work. Hotel staff declined a partial refund and were unable to offer another room (fully booked so I understand). Reading reviews others mention the AC and noise…should have done more research but we thought it was a great price for Amalfi. Hotel is in a great spot, they just should not put people in the two rooms on the third floor. You are getting a cheap room but giving up needed vacation sleep. The amount of kitchen noise feels like you are actually IN the kitchen.
Italy is excellent! Enjoy it, we didn’t have a great experience with this hotel in the summer heat with the noise.
