IL Giardino Dell'Arte - Guest House in Anacapri

We absolutely loved this guest house! The location is beautiful—tucked away in Anacapri with gorgeous views and a perfect patio for watching the sunset. The entire property is incredibly charming, with a secret-garden feel that makes it feel very private and peaceful. It is clearly well loved and beautifully maintained. Our room was clean, comfortable, and full of charm.

We loved watching the sunset with a bottle of wine on the patio. They serve breakfast from the same patio with fresh fruit and baked goods.

Getting there can be a little tricky, as taxis cannot drive all the way to the guest house because the roads become too narrow. However, the hosts were incredibly accommodating and arranged to pick us up, along with all our luggage, in a mini truck from the main taxi drop-off area. Taxis from the Capri port cost us about $40 each way.

The guest house is also only about a 10-minute walk from several lovely restaurants in town. Overall, it was a wonderful, peaceful place to stay, and we would absolutely recommend it!

We absolutely loved our time at Il Giardino Dell’Arte.

They welcomed us to their home and shared a lot of wonderful insight on the island of Capri. Helped to guide our time there and even showed us a part of the island to visit we didn’t even know had a walking trail. The breakfast was fantastic, but a highlight was our homemade dinner on the terrace.

We went in the spring when the roses were in full bloom.

If going to Capri, I strongly suggest staying here! (It’s out of the main part of Capri, but the family was very helpful in picking us up from the Anacapri bus station!)

In Anacapri, I found the island’s most authentic side, surrounded by a beautiful garden of Mediterranean plants filled with sunlight and tranquility.
The hospitality of this corner of paradise is truly special: a family where the father and his daughters take care of every detail with genuine warmth and dedication.
The rooms, each with their own light and exposure, are simple yet thoughtfully maintained, blending comfort with understated charm.
It’s a place that stays with you — where the beauty feels natural and the welcome is heartfelt.

Where do we even start with this fantastic experience. Franco, his daughter Aurelia, and his granddaughter Francesca are amazing people to have as hosts!

The premiere island destination is an amazing getaway. Franco hooks you up with the best island experiences for great prices, can ask for laundry, for check in and out they pick you up from the piazza where the buses stop!

All the folks talking about “hard place to get to”…This is on top of a mountain, if that’s not your vibe then don’t book it!!!

A charming guest house surrounded by a beautiful garden of figs, grapes, olives and tomatoes like jewels, all served with breakfast. With an incredible view of the gulf of Naples and run by Franco and his two daughters who warmly attend but are not obtrusive. A short walk into the village centre along picturesque laneways, this is a treasure.

Il Giardino Dell'Arte is a jewel at the top of the Isle of Capri, in the comunale of Anacapri! The Savastao Family treats its guests like family in this quaint and lovely garden featuring five cozy rooms. The breakfasts and dinners are a culinary delight, complete an array of fresh fruit grown in their garden, pastries, breads, cheeses and homemade fare, including the best raviolis you have ever had; you will be tempted to lick the plate to savor the unbelievable pomodoro sauce! If you travel to Capri, a stay at the Il Giardino Dell'Arte is a must!

Rafaella and her family were incredibly kind, and the service was absolutely outstanding. Her sister drove us to and from the bus station. Her father shared the family history and gave me a lovely tour of their beautiful garden, full of flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Her sister’s daughter helped us with information about the town, restaurants, and local attractions. Everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful in making our stay memorable. We were lucky to get the nicest room with a private veranda and a beautiful view of the sea, along with a bottle of bubbly in the room to celebrate our honeymoon. They served a flavorful, delicious, and varied breakfast, including fresh fruit from their garden. The room was clean, fresh, and smelled wonderful. We also used their laundry service, which we highly recommend – the clothes smelled great and were neatly folded and pressed. There is a pool, which we enjoyed, and they make wonderful drinks at their bar. It’s only a 10-minute walk to Anacapri and about 10 minutes to the bus that takes you to the Blue Grotto. This was one of several stays during our honeymoon, and we truly wish we had more nights here. This place gave us peace, wonderful service, and a memory we will always cherish as beautiful and serene. Waking up without traffic noise, hearing birdsong, and enjoying the garden and sea view was simply amazing. Thank you to Rafaella and her family for making our stay so fantastic. If 7 star rating existed, this family run hotel would deserve it. Comfortable, clean, welcoming. The setting is spectacular with incredible sunsets. Franco the owner with his two warm and kind daughters Rafealla and Auralia made the stay an incredible ones. The room was very special. The home made breakfast added an warm touch. Magnificent from every aspect. Very grateful for the experience
