Hotel Il Gabbiano

We were super impressed with this hotel. I wasn’t sure what to expect based on pictures, so I was pleasantly surprised with the rooms, service and overall stay. The location was perfect. The staff was friendly. They arranged private transportation for us which went great as well!

The hotel was very beautiful with a view of the Sea. Balcony was a great addition to sit down in the morning and have breakfast. In the evening after dinner the calm night was spectacular. The local bus was great to use to get around. Stairs are located nearby of you want a 15 minute cardio fix.

Definitely recommend if you're visiting Positano. Perfect location, fantastic view from the rooms, super nice staff, rooms were very clean and refurbished. 100% recommend

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. Beautiful views. Hotel offers breakfast either in dining area or your room. Wonderful menu to choose from. This town is a challenge for anyone with mobility issues, so spring for a taxi. That said, it is one of our favorite places to visit in Italy.

The Cinque Terre staff was very communicative both before and during our stay. They couldn't have been more accommodating.

Stunning sea views, plentiful delicious breakfast. Highly recommend you use the porter to carry your bag up from the harbour. It’s a lot of steps! Take ear plus if you’re a light sleeper - you can hear everything that’s going on in the rooms around you including the creaky beds.

Very good 5 night stay
Wonderful hotel setting with views to the west from every balcony. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and a delicious breakfast pre ordered the night before and served on the balcony. Location is ideal for walking both up and down in the town ( lots of steps are inevitable wherever you stay ). Wifi is too patchy to stream but worked fine for emails. Very happy with the choice.

The hotel was in a good Location with a beautiful view! The staff was so friendly and helped book transportation in and out of the city. They room service/ breakfast delivery was excellent!

We stayed for two days. The balcony in the room had a beautiful sea view and the breakfast was super rich. We had a large suitcase and took a taxi from the taxi stand next to the pier to the hotel for about 30 euros. Later I realized that I should have called a local luggage porter service so that I could have climbed the stairs to the hotel in 10 minutes or so (carrying a suitcase is an almost impossible task). When we left, we called for a porter service. We could make an appointment at the front desk. It was 10 euros per box and we just had to pay cash when we picked up our luggage at the designated location at the pier. It was very punctual. There is a small supermarket next to the hotel where you can buy water and snacks. Overall it is good, but the prices are a little higher during the peak season. Positano is worth a visit.
